Tess Bailey is an overworked probation officer and when Eli Flint's file is given to her she is anything but happy. Eli has just been released from prison and wants to keep on the straight and narrow while figuring out a way to get back at Tex, the president of the Sons of Flame MC for leaving him behind when a drop went bad and turned out to be an undercover sting. When Tess and Eli meet for the first time for his initial probation interview there are sparks flying across the room that both want to ignore...need to ignore, she is a probation officer and he is an ex-con they cannot do anything to jeopardize their professional relationship.
When Eli finds himself between a rock and a hardplace he has no choice but to do another job for Tex and that is when everything goes to hell in a handbasket.
This was such a different MC book, we didn't see the typical club life we saw how hard it is to break free from it all. Very refreshing. This is the first book I have read by Ashley Rhodes but since I really enjoyed this one, I plan to read more of her work.
Sweet: A Dark Love Story by R.E. Saxton
Declan's wife and unborn daughter have been murdered and the person that committed the crime is set free only to be killed in a drunk driving accident a couple of days later. With no one paying for the crimes committed Declan sets his anger towards Kat, the daughter of his wife's murder. Kat is under the impression that she has won a scholarship to an art school as well as an all expenses paid trip to a private island for a week little does she know that she is being set up and once she is on the private island she will be imprisoned by Declan.
I want to say that stockholm syndrome played a part in this story but it really didn't Kat was undeniably attracted to Declan as she watched him at her fathers trial. But it wasn't until he kidnapped her that she faced this fact and in realizing this she also found out some other things about herself that she wasn't happy with.
This was a HOT Dark read. There is nothing gentle about the way he takes her (sexually) over and over again but there is a rainbow at the end of this storm, so enjoy the ride it's a bumpy one.
Obsessed by Terry Towers
I loved Elijah, he has so many conflicting personality traits its like two people in one body. Elijah is a paid hitman that also does some killings to clean up the neighborhood....seriously! Elijah has been in love/lust with Sidney for years - he follows her from place to place when she is having her signings and he always takes a photo with her for his book - the only problem with that (other than being a bit creepy) is that she doesn't remember him. They have a past, and when we are told about it I couldn't help but cry Elijah had a hard childhood and that's putting it mildly.
Sidney is a very popular actress and loves doing signings but when she arrives home one evening she finds her boyfriend in a compromising position with his current co-star. After a brief confrontation she goes for a drink and that is when her day gets a lot worse...or maybe better I guess it's all in the way you look at it.

I have to start out by saying that I have read Taken, Bound, Owned by Stella Noir and loved them, I hate to say it but this book didn't live up to that quality of dark work. There was a major twist in this book that I figured out pretty early on and while it was a good twist it could have been executed better. At the beginning of the story it was going around in circles with real time and flashbacks it got a bit confusing for a little bit but once she was "taken" things got even stranger. I would love to know where this nurse was found and why she didn't question anything. I think my biggest gripe is that this could have been a great story line if it was a longer book, this was to short of a book to get into all of the intricate parts of the characters. That being said, I look forward to reading more of Stella Noir dark erotica books and I hope the next one is better then this one was.

Sons of Flame MC -Redemption By Ashley Rhodes
All Eli has to do is this one last job with the Sons of Flame and he'll be home free, but when does anything ever go as planned, no Eli couldn't be that lucky.
Tess loves her job, well in theory, but unfortunately those she works with don't really care about themselves, they all have that look that says who cares, no one. That is until she is thrown Eli, a case load she doesn't want, but there's some thing different there.
When there lives are thrown together, each must decide who is really trustworthy after all.
When I started this book I wasn't sure what I'd think, but I actually really enjoyed the way it unfolded, that sometimes despite the 'lust' you can see through to the hurt and pain. I I enjoyed both the story and the characters, and I will definitely look up more of Ashley's work

Is Elijah a good guy or a bad guy? Well I can honestly say I'd want him on my side protecting me. I loved the reactions Sidney had as she discovered the truth about Elijah, they weren't small things, and Terry didn't wish wash over the situations, the responses were realistic, and a reason I love reading her books. If you have liked any of Terry's other books, you won't be disappointed with this story, it was beautifully written, and very heartfelt.

Alessandra has been unlucky in love, and after losing everything to her last boyfriend, she decided she's done. While on a holiday in Florida with her friend Sammi, she meets Devon, hot as hell, and there's an instant attraction. The problem is nothing ever goes to plan.
I'm really not sure how I felt about this book. The characters weren't what I normally enjoyed, there was a wishy washy passion, and I felt the story didn't really end, that there was no closure really.

Navia is struggling to make a career for herself, she's shy and timid, but the chance to get a good reference from her friends boss when she offered to temp for her is worth stepping g out of her comfort zone. When she discovers that Jason Black is not an old man, but a hot young guy she was attracted to at Chloe's wedding, her world changes.
I found this book a lot more realistic in the true struggles about accepting someone, working out if you can live with their dark side, and when it's time to walk away even if you love them.
HYSTERIA The NAMESAKEN Series - Michaela Wright
Liv is running from a cruel past, all she wants is to be a maid, but when she arrives, she is mistaken as someone else. When Findlay Lennox realises his error, he hires her on the spot, but his professional skills become something she needs, and when they start on this path, there is no turning back, until she listens to her friend Janet and ends up fighting for her life.
I really enjoyed this story, Liv was very naive and sweet, but with a macabre twist, but all the characters were sweet and loveable, even the cheeky Janet. I'll definitely be looking into the rest of this series now

When Abby breaks up with her boyfriend because she's afraid of how much she loves him, she can't possibly foresee the horror that's coming and the betrayal and hurt she feels as Jake seems to destroy her in ways she never imagined. Abby can't help but still love the memory of Jake, and feels guilty for her reaction to the hurt she feels now. When the truth comes out, it helps her come to terms with some things, but hurts her in other ways.
I must admit I was trying to guess what was what, wondering about different scenarios of what may be from when she first wakes up. The characters were well written, I loved Jakes character, and the way the story had me guessing.

When Laura falls in love with a man she's never seen, her stalker, her world will change forever.
I really loved this story, and am dying to read the next instalment. Yes it leaves you with a massive cliffhanger

This was an interesting collection of stories from talented authors. Each story pulls you in from the beginning, and keeps you turning pages to find out what happens next. I've read a few of the authors before, and already knew that I liked them, but I found that I liked the other authors and will be checking out their other books.

Questionable
This collection is made up primarily of standalones, though the last two are the exception, ending with cliffhangers. I read anthologies to find new authors and typically discover at least one I want to explore further. Unfortunately that wasn't the case with this anthology, though I did enjoy Hysteria, The Namesaken Series, by Michaela Wright and The Dark Doctor, by Stella Noir and JB Duvane.

A great set of dark and dangerous bad guys. If you love dark theme and sexy, dominant alpha-male then this is what you need to read. Son of Flame MC was great and Sweet by R E Saxton was awesome as well as Obsessed by Terry Towers. I lost myself in this set for hours so get it now!!!!!

I was given this box set for a honest review.
This box set was put together, with everyone in mind, that loves bad boys. I like all the stories, some better then others. I liked R. E. Saxton story of mc. I can honestly say you be disappointed. Plus at a great value of 99 cents.
