Chosen is the first in the thirteen books of the Ancients of Light series and is only the beginning of a young Witch’s journey toward developing both the strength of character and magic that will be required to fulfill her prophesied role as leader of the Light faction.
Revelations of nuances in the Prophecy - facets that were never fully comprehended by the Ancients - will continue in successive stories. The culmination of its true meaning in the destiny of the supernatural world of the Realm will only be revealed when Kaitriana is adequately prepared to lead the Warriors now being called together to champion the Light’s purpose.
Familiar characters return for each storyline as the focus turns to a new key couple in every book - a pair that significantly factors into the purpose of Light – however, the story of the Chosen does not end with Book #1. Kaitriana and Lorcan, their growth together as partners in leadership and in love as a couple, will thread through the series as Kaitriana assumes the role that was destined as hers since the beginning.
About the Author
Heather Fleener lives in Indiana with her husband, D.A. and their twins, Thomas and Alexandra. Professionally she has spent her career working in the area of Intellectual Property law.
Reading has been a passion of hers since she was young and she has been a closet-romance junkie her entire life. The romantic styles of Judith McNaught and Julie Garwood are her inspiration, though she has read and loved the stories of countless other authors. Her fascination with the paranormal began to form at the young age of six, watching late-night ghost and vampire movies with her Grandpa. Unfortunately, as a result, she also remains afraid of the dark to this day.
Combining her love of epic romances and the supernatural was a natural progression for her overactive imagination. When the idea for the Ancients of Light series began, it was an abstract story line rambling around in her head to help kill a few miles on the treadmill. As the stories and plotlines continued to grow, it finally became necessary to put the words to paper and build the characters that had been living in the Realm and having conversations in her head for months.
The series is a testament to many miles on the treadmill and lots of characters that insist on having their stories told.

I really love this series. I think it’s because it require me to use my brain. I adore romance and love paranormal romance. There’s so many characters, a good side, a bad side, different battles, skirmishes, storylines both in the past and the present and a ton of action. I’m constantly thinking and getting lost in the pages of these stories. This one was no different. Maeve and Broderick have a phenomenal story. There’s twists and turns all along the way. It’s “heavenly”. Fantastic! I know the author, Heather, had to take a break due to personal reasons and the the next book is coming along. I cannot wait to dig into the pages of a new couple and more excitement from the realm!!!

Utterly fantastic, each book just keeps getting better and better, so many unexpected events and surprises leaves you totally enthralled .
The forces of dark against light told with mystery, secrets and half truths and a whole of glittery humour is a truly amazing work of art.
Can't wait wait for more .... Thank you for such a fantastic series of books.

Maeve and Broderick...
Loved, loved, loved this installment of Ancients of Light. Maeve and Brod's story is engaging and full of mystery as secrets are revealed. Kat and the queens are entertaining as usual. Can't wait for Hidden.

Another amazing addition to the series! I love the Realm and its characters and the author does a superb job building the characters and their backgrounds while interweaving it into the present! Every time I read a new book in this series I say this my favorite couple! I love the realness of the struggles Maeve and Broderick face. Its an emotional and spiritual battle that they don't comprehend fully until the end which heartwenrenching at times is also beautiful! Maeve loves deeply yet to protect herself and the ones she loves, she puts on the Dark Queen persona with brilliance. The only one who can break through the persona to see the real Maeve,is Broderick. However, they have a love/hate relationship that may or may not stand the test of time. There is everything you expect in The Realm battles,loss,love,betrayals, secreats,and revelations.

Fallen is absolutely amazing. I have been reading Heather Fleener book since the first in the series and she never disappoints. It was a long wait but let me tell you it was well worth it. With every book i rediscover and discover new characters to fall in love with. Fallen was heart pounding and non-stop excitement the entire time. Maeve is the female lead that every girl dreams of being. She is strong ,badass, and absolutely inspiring. Her love and dedication to Brod is everything you could want in a romance. The magic and enchantment in this world that Heather has created is nothing short of brilliant. I honestly can't get enough of Ancients of Light and i absolutely can not wait for CADE's book. As he is one of my favs!.

I've loved every single book of this series. It's been a favorite of mine, since I stumbled upon the first book in the series, Chosen. It's a far more entertaining series than most that I've read (maybe all...) and I'm surprised more people haven't discovered it. The characters are unique, consistent and endearing. The writing/plot is just freaking fantastic with very little editing errors. I so look forward to each new book in this series. I couldn't say it enough... I LOVE the world this author created.

I love this author and have followed this series from the start. She has a lovely style of writing that flows almost like poetry and she has a mixture of interesting beings and historical touches. It was too good to give it less but I found this book unlike her others seemed far to lengthy and repetitive in sections and I struggled to get through it without putting it down for days and coming back to it. I felt what I was reading one page was on the next unless I put it down.
Still a good read and it was lovely to catch up with previous characters.

Wow. I blown away by this book.
Heather Fleener you are a wonderful talent.
Maeve and Brodrick are absolutely amazing.
As I read their evolving life stories I became totally immersed in everything realm.
The Katerisms in this are pure brilliance.
Emotional to the very last page.
I have the biggest book hangover ever. Not sure I will be able to read another book until I get Marcus's story. If I could give this book more stars I would.
I highly recommend this series to everyone

I've read all her books in this series. There are things I enjoyed about all of them (story line and characters) and there are things I don't (I'm a bit tired of the way some authors portray their heroes along the way...my issue, though.) Over all, they were all good reads...
