Serenity King is back with her second installment in the Powell series. I will say readers you don’t have to read the first book in the series to understand this one but you would want to just to get to know this up and coming family better. One of the things I love about this author is that she writes a good family tale as a reader you feel like you know these characters or want to get to know them. This story centers on Samantha and Adam and who could forget sweet Kayla. Vowing to never give her heart to another single mother Samantha cannot control what her heart desires don’t get me wrong she tries to. She is headstrong and at times a bit stubborn. Adam being a Westbrook has always had a thing for her she is beautiful, and their one night together wasn’t nearly enough. Except there is an issue Samantha’s past. She holds many secrets including who is the father of her child. Seeing through her façade Adam makes it his mission to be the father Kayla needs and the man Samantha always wanted.

I understood that Samantha was closed off after being heartbroken but at times she was hard on men mainly Adam. It was like she would be ok with where they were going but was too afraid to lean on him. I wanted Adam to be more of an alpha and take charge instead of letting Samantha come to her own devices. I will say that I hope Daniel (the guy from her past) gets his own story I think there is a lot he has to say. Although Adam could have been a bit more take charge I enjoyed his southern twang he was a good ole’ boy in every way possible. After the hospital scene I thought Samantha would have gotten the hint but she seemed more closed off than ever. Needless to say this chick was very frustrating at times. But after she stopped playing the cat and mouse game when she and Adam came together it was fireworks. I loved the family element of the book and Adam’s love for Kayla. If you are looking for a good summer read one click this book today. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Good conclusion

Once again folks hire an editor when I am reading about Adam and you substitute Daniel name in his place, when "the" is added to a sentence for no reason it is annoying. However loved the story just wished I knew what. Adam had on Daniel, story had an unfinished ending. Loved the story of Adam and Sam Sam is a bit hesitant about her relationship with Adam, Adam is unsure if he is a rebound lover or her future.

I enjoyed reading about Samantha and Adam but there were a some unanswered questions.
The chemistry was great between Sam and Adam don't know why did not get together in the beginning, I think Adam was just as much of a bad boy as Daniel was; the heart wants what the heart wants.
What kind of photos were in the envelop that Adam gave to Daniel that made him relinquish his parental rights for Kayla, what was going on with Daniel and his parents.

I surely hope that there are other books to come, I want to know more about Declan Tracey and Samantha's brother, Allison Grant Declan's ex-fiancee', Austin, Justice and Brett the Westbrook cousins and who is Kent?

After reading Race to Redemption I was primed for the next Powell's book. After waiting for this book, I was not disappointed. To finally get all of Samantha's story and see the development of Adam into such a great guy was wonderful. With the other characters and new cars and drivers, I await the next installment.

This is my review and how I see it. In Samantha: Never Say Never, author Serenity King, show us what was going on with Samantha in A Race for Redemption. Samantha had fallin' in lust with racecar driver Daniel Ashby but somehow wound up in the arms of Adam Westbrook.

Samantha has tried hard to keep her secret from Daniel and Adman has been there every step of the way. Adam has finally laid his cards on the table and let Samantha, know that he wants more with her and Kayla.

Will Samantha give into her feeling for Adam, and what were those photos that Adam handed Daniel? To find out the former read the book, the latter is still a mystery.

This book is for anyone who as said never when they should never say never.

This is my review and how I see it.
