NCERT CLASS XI POLITICAL THEORY- The Book contains the following 10 chapters (1) Introduction – Pollical Theory This chapters raises questions like How should society be organised, why do we need government, what is the best form of government, can law limit our freedom, rights and duties of citizens, (2) Freedom (3) Equality (4) Social Justice, (5) Rights (6) Citizenship, (7) Nationalism, (8) Secularism, (9) Peace (10) Development.

Constitution of India is taught at Indian educational institutions at Senior Secondary level, Intermediate level and Graduate level in the subject named Political Science. Again, the subject is taught at Law Courses (LLB), LLM syllabus in India. At each level of education, more complex principles and interpretation of various Articles of the Constitution of India are taught with leading judgments by various courts and finally by the Supreme Court of India. In this book, 10 fundamental principles are explained to a student of Secondary level in a simple manner. I understand that it is better to understand Constitution of India gradually. This creates interest and maintains inquisitiveness in reader and learner of the subject of Political Science and Constitution. This text covers 10 difficult principles in a simple way for students. Hard work of NCERT is appreciated.

I started reading this book as I'm an UPSC aspirant. And I must say that before reading "The Polity" by Laxmikant Sir, you can read this book to have the basic ideas about the theories.
I loved how this book narrated all the things in a very simple manner with proper examples and simple language.
It will make your concepts more clear.

Never thought Political Theories could be so interesting. These were intelligible, connected to what is and should happen in a state. And the appropriate approaches to be followed for that. Quite good read :)

You cannot understand all this political jazzy without understanding histories.
Historically, love is not an argument.
You can have different ideologies, be on differing sides of every spectrum and still be together. That is a thing of beauty, a joy forever.

Politics envelops us like the coils of a snake and there is no other way out but to wrestle with it. ~ Gandhi Ji

Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains.

Drunkard in the gutter is where he ought to be.

One man’s rights end where the other man’s nose begins.
