Amazing!

This book was amazing! I loved every word from the beginning. I can see how Cloe could think Tony was using her. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Lucia Jordan Inside Her

The Warmup Act

The first part of Cleopatra "Cleo" Cantrell (pen name Dominique Darling) and Tony Markson's story is heated and goes by quickly. I do like that we get some history on Cleo's last relationship. It makes what happens with Tony all the more understanding.

“The man’s got a pretty face,” Cleo joked. “And he’s hot in a squeeze-my-thighs-together kind of way. That doesn’t mean he’s the right guy to turn my book into a movie.”

Things move along quickly between them. When dessert turns into DESSERT, I was willing to sacrifice myself for seconds and thirds. Wonderfully enough, Tony and Cleo felt the same. 🔥🥵🎉 There's a mirror scene... woo, I wanted more of that whole thing.

This ends with a small cliffhanger. Thankfully, I have the complete series to keep going. 😘

I read along with the audio book. The narrator is Akaya Birdine, who was very easy to listen to. I enjoyed the steady pace, pronunciation, and quality of the vocals. There were a few times when the emotion of the voice didn't match the words on the page, but it was otherwise a good listen.

Maybe 3.5 stars.

That’s more my speed. No D/s … just a couple coming together with life’s issues (plus celebrity notoriety) getting in the way - until they figure out how to push it all away and focus on each other and other more important things in life.

I’m glad Tony gets Cleo. I was starting to get miffed at her knee jerk reaction - thankfully, bestie Grace was also there to knock a little bit of sense into her (with chocolate) when some sh*t hit the fan. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ugggh cliffhangers

I chose this book because most of Lucia Jordan's books are great and this one didn't disappoint at all. The plot of the story leaves one craving for more. The characters are carefully crafted and I like how she provides a bit of a back story of their lives and shows some raw feelings of both characters

If you want 🌶🌶🌶 then Lucia Jordan delivers but honestly I would have given 5 stars but the lack of depths in the story, which could be just because the book is short. Each of her stories have cliff hangers to entice you to read the next so reader beware if you don’t like cliff hangers you’ll be having to purchase a few books at once.

Fast read enjoyable

I was a little disappointed in the beginning with all the introduction of characters but when it came to the two main characters it was very enjoyable. Too many characters to know in the beginning.
Like the book very much and look forward to more..

Wow or Whoa?

Wow, this novella was great! Putting a spin on beauty roles. And the steamy scenes. Love the concept of true beauty. Will I read the next novella? Absolutely. And... Whoa. Did Tony really use Cleo just for sex? I'm dying to read on! Give me more, Lucia!!

Cleo Cantrell owned "Happily Ever After" Indi book store. owner of romance novels. But her bread & butter is her own personal romance novels under the sir name Dominique Darling. Tony Markson gorgeous, famous Indi movie star wants to produce Cleo's first novel "Too Pretty"
Cleo isn't interested in making a movie but her Agent Laura believes this famous playboy is serious about producing her novel. Laura asks to here him out.
He insists on meeting her in her hometown. When Cleo states he would be recognized. Tony informs her that he can be seen without his identity being compromised. Tony surprises Cleo when she believes a man walking in her book store is homeless. When in fact it's Tony Markson in the flesh.
He was right he can be unnoticed.
They went to dinner & discussed the reasons why he was interested in her book. With their 1st touch chemistry was there. Cleo didn't want to read into her desires. Considering how she was hurt by her last boyfriend. Could her desires just be like every woman who thought this star was hot!
She decided to have dessert at home to discuss more about Tony's ideas.
Little did she know that those ideas would end up the best night of her life.
Until she overhears Tony talking to his agent about closing the deal.
Then she realizes that not only did Tony give her the night of her life. But the scene in her Novel. She was bamboozled into thinking it meant something to Tony.
While Tony tries to explain she will not listen.
As always Lucia has written a story that has a plot of hot, passion along with misunderstandings within the characters. Which of course in continued in the next chapter. That is how we purchase books. With continuations.
I guess I will have to buy the book to find out the ending of this hot, passionate couple!
Read the 2nd chapter of these hot story.

This was ok, I truly feel it could have been written better, I won't be continuing on with series, so I don't know what happens. I feel like she really devalued herself by sleeping with Tony like 2 hours after meeting him. I know he was her dream boy still she should have held off for a while. I did not care for the repeat words during the fun filled escaped. Overall, it was fine. Warning very sexually not for kids, 18yrs and up. Gina Clabo

Inside Her

Good story, but your typical "hey, you got something I want and I'll do whatever it takes to get it"
An owner of an Independent Bookstore and had written a book that this guy wanted to make into a movie, but to get the rights, he gets close and very intimate with her and basically steals her book rights.
I just found out there is a book 2, so I'm going to check that one out to see what happens!!!

Ugh ok for a quick read but that's about it. I felt like I rushed through it. First half wasn't very clear. It just lead the way for the sex scenes later on but as I wasn't really interested in the characters then I couldn't associate with them during the sex scenes either.

It's ok but it could be better

I like Cleo but I hate that she comes off like a lonely sex deprived woman with two cats. Who just needs a movie star. Give me more reasons to not think this could be fake. Show me it could happen.

This was legit me yesterday. My back was aching horribly so I binge watched some shows instead of reading.....Yeah I know my list is like 1500 books I want to read and like 30 I need to do reviews on....And what makes this bad this is not one that was on my TBR.... I was feeling sad because I hadn't bought some books in a week so I went on a free kindle book binge. So I ended up reading this one.
I know the title sounds awful but I seriously do not remember this being mentioned. I could be wrong....It's been known to happen. The main reason I am doing this review? At the end of the book they say that you can get the whole series for free on kindle if you review it. Heck yeah free books!
The main, main reason for this is because the book cliffhanged. Like you were all up in that junk, enjoying the story of the book geek who secretly writes smut and the movie star that loves her smut books. So I would really like to have them free, so here we go.
Spoilers darling also there are a few things I will gloss over because I really don't care to review that part. You can read the book if you want to read that just pick up a copy on Amazon. It's free.....
We start off with emails between Cleo and her agent, where Tony Markson is wanting turn her book called Too Pretty into a movie. No one knows that Dominique Darling is actually Cleo Cantrell, owner of an indie bookstore called Happily Ever After. Her agent pesters her to allow the movie option. Cleo is like:
Well apparently Cleo "sleeps" on it and decides to email Tony and let him know she is actually Dominique Darling, and if he is willing to keep her privacy then she will agree to speak to him. They plan to meet the next day after he calls her. He told her that he is good at blending in.
Cleo is like what you are a movie star and he's like dude I got this. (not really but that's me atm). The next day Cleo is mad because Tony is late meeting her at the store. Turns out, he is so good at blending in she thought he was a sick or homeless person reading Diana Gabaldon on her reading couch at her store. They introduce themselves and then it begins.
Some flirting of course and some fine dining.
Well they discuss her book Too Pretty and she discovers that he did not want to option the movie for the sexy time scenes (get used to this, I always use this term and I refuse to change this) but for the characters because he relates to them. He feels like all they see is the outside not enough to get to know the inside just like the main character in the book does. So during their meal have some sparks fly and they end up going back to her place. You know what's coming. Sexy time. Keep in mind this is day one that they met. Tony and Cleo are hoes. No offense meant to the writer but they totally jumped right in there.
I have totally been waiting for the best moment to use that gif. Like what I think is gross is the jumping into bed together since they literally just met. But anyway. They have some sexy time and take a nap and then it's time for round two apparently.
This time Tony acts out the first sexy time scene from Cleo's book Too Pretty. So according to her that makes her all totally like him more. They take another nap and she wakes up to hear Tony on the phone with someone named Mike. She overhears what sounds like that Tony slept with her to get the movie deal.
Yes, I have an obsession with Dean gifs get over it. Anyway. She walks in and accuses him of that and he tells her that it's not like that, that he can explain. Then it FREAKING ENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did enjoy the book even with the jumping into bed together right away. I love the whole story concept of a book geek falling in love with a dream guy. I think that is the main reason I am okay with the whole sexy time right away thing. I will definitely be reading the next ones because I do want the characters to have a happily ever after. So with that I end my review.
I give Inside Her a 4 out of 5 stars.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one stands out for its meta-concept: a shy bookstore owner secretly writing erotic fiction gets swept up by a famous actor who wants to adapt her work. The dual identity tension is clever, and the chemistry between Cleo and Tony builds with slow-burn sweetness and creative passion. It’s still rooted in desire, but there’s a touch more emotional substance than many of Jordan’s entries. One of her more well-rounded starts.

Annoyed by the need to split what would be a normal length book into 4 short novellas for absolutely NO REASON.
I don't understand the trend of these mini series style stories. either write a shirt story (there are plenty great ones out there) or keep it together in one book.
This book should be sold as a SAMPLE, because that's is EXACTLY how it reads.
the story literally just begins when it ends with an advertisement to purchase the "Inside Her" bundle.
Bundle implies a compilation of a series, NOT one book that's been chopped up.
The worst part is that I was actually getting into it when the ends....and honestly it puts you off about purchasing the rest of the book.
Pffffft.
