Chance White Jr. was a pharmacist in living in California. His whole life changed with one phone call. He is suddenly left with a drug empire that his father, Osiris and his right hand man, Stoney built from the ground up. They were killed in the Bahamas during a bad drug deal. Chance steps takes his place on his father's throne. Stepping into the role as, Artemis, with Stoney's daughter, Farah Parker on his side. He'll soon learn everything there is that comes with being a kingpin. As Chance and Farah continue to build their father's empire, the drama soon follows. They will have to deal with new enemies, jilted lovers, and their egos along the way. Chance soon feels like he bit off more than he can chew, but Farah eases his transition from law abiding, boring Chance to gangster, full of life Artemis. Farah learns of her father's will and realizes that she must team up with Chance, if they want the legacy that their fathers left behind to stay afloat. They will learn that the dope game is not easy and comes with a lot of bullshit. As the shell casings drop, the money rolls in, the Coke moves and body count increases, their feelings for one another begin to evolve too. Will they act on their undeniable attraction or will they let the game destroy them and any chances of them being together?

Excellent book!! Kept me hooked from the first page. Ending is a cliffhanger. ANXIOUSLY waiting for part 2!!!
