Join Bee and Puppycat as they continue work for some hard-earned cash in the most-weird situations. From cleaning a windmill to fixing a giant egg, a magic girl does what a magic girl can do to make ends meet!
Created by Natasha Allegri, this adorable series continues with brand-new stories by “Pretty” Patrick Seery and illustrator Ji in Kim.
I loved volume one and volume two, but volume three was meh. I thought that the stories and artwork weren’t as strong as the previous volumes. It felt more like fluff, than a continuation of the stories/life of Bee and Puppycat. It was disappointing for me, but probably still a good read for younger kiddos.
Ah, how I love Bee and Puppycat! The stories just make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I honestly feel like Natasha Allegri created a cartoon version of me. I relate to Bee so much. This volume was much shorter than the last two with a little less action, but it was still full of temp jobs, delicious pastries, and all things pink.
The artwork is gorgeous and the stories always manage to stay true to the core of the Bee and Puppycat miniseries. If you love cutesy artwork or are lovers of Sailor Moon, then definitely read this! It's so endearing. You'll definitely find a special place in your heart for Bee and Puppycat.
the word cute might be redundant and overused after reading all 3 volumes but this is cute. adorable. light-hearted. ㅇㅅㅇ and deserved all of the emoticons and the cartoon deserves all of the viewership (it's on YouTube)
After a disappointing second volume, “Bee and PuppyCat” returned to form in Volume Three with a collection of tales that were charming if not particularly memorable.
The main requirements of fiction are conflict and resolution; the stories in Volume Two mostly lacked one or the other or both. Ignoring these requirements for a comic-book adaptation of a TV show would have been a bold choice if done on purpose—the show was usually more about vibes than plot anyway—but if the contributors had experimental intentions, they were unsuccessful, as the results were flat and uninteresting.
We get one such story in Volume Three. Called “Fairy PuppyCat,” it briefly retells the story of Cinderella with Bee as the eponymous heroine and PuppyCat as the fairy. In Volume Three, however, the conflict was introduced in a manner that signaled the resolution almost immediately. In one story, PuppyCat accused Bee of being a hoarder and demanded that she get rid of some junk. To Bee’s relief, their argument was interrupted by a new temp job, which in turn helped Bee see why PuppyCat might have a point. Although the setup and conclusion were as tidy as PuppyCat wanted Bee to keep their apartment, as in any story, it’s the *how* that mattered, and writer Patrick Seery and artist Ji in Kim made Bee’s bit of self-discovery sweet and moving.
This series are quick reads and not a bad way to spend a hour or so. I do think it helps reading them in order as you get a little more of the back story or set up in the first one, then get more of the feel of the characters reading more in the second one. I haven't read a graphic novel like these so not sure this is the format of story set up for me. I would try some more before I say one way or other. I did like some of the sections where others I could take or leave them. So I gave 3 stars as liked it okay but didn't love them.
The latest collection of comics inspired by animator Natasha Allegri’s charming YouTube cartoon, Bee and PuppyCat Volume 3 is really more of the same as I discussed in my review of the last collection; cute and gentle, but a little insubstantial. Written by Patrick Seery, another Adventure Time alumnus (and the voice of Pretty Patrick), the main stories do capture the feel of the show pretty well, so for fans, it’s worth checking out.
The third volume of Bee and Puppycat is cute, but meh which is exactly what I thought about the first volume as well. Perhaps I should stop picking these up from the library given my deep ennui towards the series. These are probably popular among younger readers, though the action in this one is pretty lacking. It's been a day since I read it and all I remember is that the main character lost a scarf :l
This is the best comic I have ever read in my entire life! I loved the Bee and Puppycat indie cartoon, and I was so excited when I heard that there were comics! I'm reading all of them, and they are really cute and fun and funny! I loved this book the most, but they are all great!
Otra vez, como los primeros dos volúmenes: adorable y entretenido. Me gusta la relación de amistad entre Bee y Puppycat y también entre Bee y Deckard aunque es bueno que no se enfocan tanto en esta última.
Super cute and wholesome adventure graphic novel. Collections of short story adventures of Bee and Puppycat who work magical temp jobs. Varying art styles depending on the author of the short story. Loved this! So much extra art at the back too!!
Follow a cute chubby girl with her Cute Cat in a hard Cash-earned missions. Also a greet comic to fall asleep on Seriously every volume I read l Sleapt in the middle of My reading even if it was not my usual Sleeptime. I Loved The drawing Style so much It was lovely and Colorful.
Still no update on the to be continued story about Wallace from volume 1, but it's great to learn more about the jobs Bee and Puppycat take on and how their friendship continues to grow.
There wasn't really much about this one, it was okay but I didn't like the art style. The Cover Gallery was nice. seeing deckard and bee hugging was nice though
