Chris Trenton's presidential campaign was like a movie promotion. A young man fulfilling the promise of his father, one of the most popular presidents in U.S. history, shot down in his prime. Those old enough to have seen him as a boy think of him like a son. They expect to see him married in a lavish ceremony immediately after the election. But it s his record of transforming depressed areas of the South and Midwest, as founder and president of a rural land development concern, that wins him the Democratic nomination and presidency in 2008. Less than two months after taking office, Trenton is impeached.
