DAISY WAS NEVER INTO GIRLS…

…until she met the powerful, lean, and protective Kara Kent.

Daisy Miller has dreamed of becoming a big-time film actress from the time she was a little girl. She even practiced accepting her Oscar in the bathtub with the shampoo bottle. So when she arrives in Hollywood, nothing but hope fills her heart with regard to her future as an actress. She takes a job as a waiter in a local commissary at Pinewood Studios, along with several other aspiring stars, all hoping a hot-shot producer will notice them. Five months to the day after she first steps off the bus to realize her movie-making dreams, Daisy waits on a beautiful but stern female producer named Kara Kent.

Kara Kent radiates power and integrity among those who work with her, a direct contrast to her fellow producers, who will sink to unimaginable lows to sleep with slinky starlets. Kent takes a focus on Daisy, asking her to first replace an extra on a small television show. Daisy finds herself overjoyed at the thought of even being an extra. And when the casting director promotes her to a speaking role, impressed by her skills, Daisy feels like her tough luck is finally turning around. Maybe she will have a shot at the big time after all.

And then, something unexpected Daisy, usually so straight and boy-crazy, finds herself falling for Kara Kent. She worries whether her feelings will come between her work and Kara. She agonizes over the possibility that this beautiful , defiant , and accomplished woman might have the same feelings for her.

All these neurotic emotions build to the point that Daisy feels like she has no other option : tell Kara about how she feels, or give her dreams of becoming a Hollywood A-lister. She cannot go another day without knowing how Kara will react to Daisy’s romantic confession .

Does the stoic and controlled Hollywood power player have the hots for little ol’ Daisy Miller?

Certainly not what I was expecting, I should have read some reviews first. To begin with the book that is listed is only the first 25 pages which to me is a short story not Book 1. The story was interesting what little you can fit in 25 pages, but its so short I couldn't enjoy it. It was over before anything got really started. The rest turns out to be more of these short stories, most I have not interest in. So it is mostly an add for the publishing or distribution company. Big disappointment.
