Rich Davis struggles against time to make it home to celebrate Christmas with his wife, Brooke, and three children. He endures a Planes, Trains and Automobiles type adventure, dealing with a bustling city, delayed planes, road trips with strangers, and an overcrowded train station.
Will Rich finally make it home to his family and friends to celebrate the holiday?
This was, okay. It was more of, Rich disappointing his family. Making it feel like he has never moved, closer to home yet. The family still gets second priority, to the job. Cass’s character makes all the books really. Her verbal diarrhea is hilarious.
Rich is stuck out of town and trying to get home for Christmas. He has a bit of a John Candy moment. This book was short and sweet story. The icing on the cake. Or the star ⭐️ on the tree
On Amazon it doesn't say this is 2.5 in the series, but I now see that, I guess I need to read the 1st few, maybe then this book will make more sense?? not sure. I didn't feel lost, I think??! ( ; I am one of those people with music and books that if you don't capture me in quick, I am so gone? I have 2 many books that I wish to read to be sitting around reading a silly ass book, that doesn't have a backbone or a real story behind it??! ... the point is ...the beginning of this book, had me rolling in the floor, loved, love, love that!! I think we all wanna make snow angels and feel like a kid again. I bet her kids thought they were nuts??! My Mom has lost her mind. giggles!! Such a great read. I love anything Christmas, this book cover so pulled me in. I am new to MC Decker, writing style and books. 1st read for me. I will be looking more into her books asap!! I wish to thank her for the enjoyable read. ( ;
This one is a short read, but it was really enjoyable. Rich promises to be home for Christmas and does his best to keep that promise to the love of his life. It's beautiful!
I love Brooke and Rich, I missed them, so I was excited to get to peek into their lives, at Christmas. Poor Rich away on business, he will have to move heaven and earth to get home in time for Christmas, to be with his family. The twins are adorable, and little Brendan well he just melts my heart. I can honestly say I don't think I will ever look at candy canes the same way, that was so hot. Cassidy is so awesome, love her sassy little mouth, what a great best friend, she is so funny, she always cracks me up with the things she says. Love Rich and Brooke, not only are they in love, but are still hot for each other.
*sigh* what a short and sweet but wonderful story with some of my favorite characters! I will never get enough of Brooke, Rich, Cass, Brendan, Blake, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, and Mikayla!! Add them in with Christmas being my favorite time of the year and you have one awesome package to open and read! The kids are so sweet, Cass and Brooke a little naughty and my favorite family all together! Because that is what christmas is really all about! And his family definitely knows that after all they've been through! And his christmas just proves it
Right from the beginning, I really enjoyed the parallels to Home Alone and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Those are two fantastic John Candy movies and always make me smile. My fingers were crossed for Rich to make it home in time to spend Christmas with his family. Also, I was really interested to know Cassidy's secret. I had been left wondering about it after reading Unscripted. It was time for Decker to spill the beans. ;) Once again, the ending was delightful and all my hopes for the characters came to fruition.
A fun peek into Brooke and Rich's first full family Christmas. Of course it can't be a simple happy Hallmark holiday NOTHING is easy for this couple. My favorite part was seeing a possibility of a future love story between another couple. Which means a bit more Rich & Brooke!
