Slightly annoying that it ends with unfinished plots and no fourth book in sight.

Is the next book available in this series?
These books are wonderful. The story, the Hero and Mate, world building, everything she writes is always great. Once her book is in your hand, plan you day accordingly because, you will not move til you have read those last page's. Only fault that I can find is being left hanging, the series is not finished unless it has been picked up by her in a new series. I'm giving four stars for that reason alone. Is there another book that was written since February of 2016? I'd really like to finish this series.

Entertaining
I've enjoyed the Knight Protectors series. Hopefully there will be more since their struggles are just beginning. It would be a shame if we never got to read the finale. I've a!ways liked the idea of vampires as Protectors and Joce is an especially fine specimen. His mating with Kate had an unusual twist. Ms. Kyle does know how to keep surprising her readers.

A great action filled story that gives us another different slant on a vampires FIRE.
Didn’t feel Joyce’s reasons for his behaviour valid, Amice was not his Fire.
Just a real pity that Ms Kyle has never added to, or completed this series. Would have loved to see what happened re the King Arthur slant.
Read a few years ago and review missing, reread through Kindle Unlimited.

As I sit here clapping my hands over book three, I'm sighing with frustration that there is no book 4. Ugh, I'm frustrated. Really loved this book. So much depth, heart, and soul. Great story overall, but so much left unfinished. I hope that changes soon.

The world building in these stories are amazing. But I want more. This book took me on a wild ride, give some, take some. The last person I thought would find his fire is Joce, but he met his equal. Hope there are more coming. I don’t know where Arthur is yet.

New take on Vampires, Loved it!

Exciting and suspenseful story
I absolutely loved this one! Kate has a weird relationship with her grandmother, and as a doctor, she's kind of distant from people. Joce is a people hating vampire that gets involved with Kate. I mean it's all either killing or saving with these two! The action starts in the first chapter and doesn't let up right through to the end. It was hard to put down once I started reading it, so I didn't. It's an important part of the series structure so even though you could read it out of order you probably shouldn't.

This was actually released a chapter at a time. I have to admit I didnt read it that way. I copy/pasted each email into a word doc and saved until it was completed then read it. I also admit I hated getting it a little at a time even if it was free ha. Its been 3 years since book 2 was released so it honestly took me awhile to get into this one and remember everything. Even reading the other 2 before this one as a refresher. This one just felt different. In the other books Joce was a jerk. He wasn't a nice guy. Disliked humans and had a real attitude problem. Now, I like my book boyfriends with a bit and alpha ego but he was a lot to take sometimes. I sympathized with him but still. Kate was sweet and I felt really bad for her because of how he treated her knowing who she was to him. Yeesh. She was kinda kick ass actually. After everything's all said and done I did enjoy the book and he redeemed himself and that normally the case. I mean they really went through a **** storm. I hope its not another 3 years before we get the next one haha.

Ms. Kyle is releasing this series the book through her newsletter about 1000 words at a time - or about 1/2 a chapter. As of 11/25/2015 she is up to release #10 and all of the pieces are accessible through her website. She will be releasing the full book after completing the writing sometime in 2016 along with Book #4 of the Knight Protector series. (http://celiakyle.com/free-poking-the-...)
As with most write-as-you-go blog/chapter posts, the final book will need editing before releasing. Some of the scenes are disconnected or the characters change too much or too little between piece-releases.
I love Kate's introduction, but Joce is still a total jerk so far (I believe we will get sympathy for him in the next two or three releases).
If you like Ms. Kyle's writing, this experiment of hers of a free story release is pretty enjoyable.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING,INCREDIBLY INTENSE READING
Celia Kyle has delivered a colossal amount of suspense into this fantastic series. As the characters discover more about their own unique fires in their relationship with the knight protectors world where things are not easy but now it's a new threat from so much larger and more dangerous elements. I hope that Celia Kyle continues with this whole series as their is so much still to be determined and more supporting characters that are definitely deserving of her special brand of creativity. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND YOU PICK UP AND ENJOY THE WHOLE SERIES AND JOIN ME IN REQUESTING THAT CELIA CONTINUES THE SERIES!!

Loved this 3rd book in the Knight Protectors series. So much was learned of all the protectors, and of the other species that have a place in the series. Most of the book concentrated on Joce and Katherine. A romance that was in danger from the beginning, and as Kate turns from human to vampire to a bit of elemental, so much is unknown about her. Their love blossoms but the danger increases for all the protectors and their "fires", as the entire world is in danger. Hopefully more Knight Protector books are coming.

Katherine is a doctor who has gotten herself in a v err y bad place. She is close to death when Joce finds her and turns her to save her. She is his fire. This is a continuation of the story of The Protectors. As usual it was very well written. I downloaded each chapter because they were given to me, but I liked it so much that I went ahead and bought it so I could read it on my Kindle. Five stars!

July 2, 2016This was a funny and interesting read. I was too far into the book to stop when I realized that this was the 3rd book in a series. Somehow I missed that part! I do plan on going back and reading the first two.
I assume/hope the author is going to continue the series because there is a great story line going that I would like to learn more about.
As usual Celia Kyle made me laugh out loud and whimper with need in the same paragraph!

Very different type of a vampire story. The hero, Joce, is a man of many secrets. The heroine, Kate, the human turned vampire by Joce.

I read this one first. I thought it was hilarious but then I got a little bored with it. It felt kind of bland. I loved the sassiness of the female, and thought Joce was hilarious and sweet. But about 3/4 the way in it kind of dulled out for me. I did like the face that it had a little more action than the first two...and I'm not talking about sexual action.

This is my favorite one of this series Joce is my favorite protector his story was wonderful and sad. Kate Is his perfect fire. Highly recommend you read this if you have read the protectors series this is for you.
