As the author of this book, I wanted to leave a comment for potential future readers to clarify what it’s actually all about, as the title is a little misleading, which I apologize for. I had a different, more fitting title in mind for this book, however, the publisher ran with this one. While this book does certainly cover information on how to photograph bears, it’s more an overview of the animals themselves, from both a scientific and cultural perspective, a detailed synopsis on etiquette and safety while in bear country, information on scouting and proper bear photoshoot setup, composition suggestions, as well as a collection of memorable bear stories and photos. This book is intended for wildlife photographers who have full command of their camera gear, as I do not go over specific information about camera functions, settings, or related technical data. Again, I apologize for the rather misleading title and I hope this helps clarify things. If you’re interested in the topics I mentioned above, I think you’ll enjoy this book immensely and find it very helpful.
