My least favorite, by far. Anna went to far and Dash was an ass and stupid. SMH at the stupidness and jerkness of Dash and Anna being more of a bitch. She's ruining the series for me. It sucks that the trials each planet has couldn't be enough without throwing in the other crew with horrible Anna.

Good story

Story was intriguing, ending was a real cliff hanger, but the story jumps around from character to character too much, so you don't care as much about each individual character.

Alpha team's rebounding after their first defeat to Team Omega in book 3, when they fail to get the element, Pollen Slither, on planet Aqua Gen.

Now they have to collect a thousand toxic pellets from Stingers, batlike creatures living on planet Infinity in underground caves. To do so, Chris tells them they'll have to avoid Sawtooth Land Eels and cooperate with the Jackals, but avoid becoming prize trophies in their collections.

Once on the planet, they learn the Jackals have abandoned their scientific outpost, leaving only one scientist and a former friend of Chris' behind. Team Omega has opted to avoid the Jackals altogether, which gets them into hot water, fast.

I won't spoil how Team Alpha collects the stinger pellets (it was really ingenious, good thinking, Gabriel!) nor how or why the other team fails. I kinda feared the book would fall into the "rise to the challenge of the week" rut .

Instead, there's another plot twist by Colin and Anna that involves an Alpha Team member that works well within the plot and it rounded out the story, giving it a bit more gravitas and stakes.

Enjoy!

186 pages. This volume gets dangerous with the crews landing on a new planet called Infinity. There are eel-like “Saw” creatures that bore through rock carving tunnels with their many rows of teeth. The crew is after stingers and spores of creatures that will possibly kill them if a single stinger punters their skin. More intriguing action continues when Anna appears to have fallen and suffered major injuries. This volume was filled with a lot of cave scenes and not as exciting as the others but the plot keeps moving along. Recommended for Grades 4-5.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep going in this book, but then I got to this one and I have to say it helped to restore my faith at least a little. I like getting to see the Omega group and see that they are not all heartless. Also, this world they are on in this book was a lot easier to understand. I liked it overall for sure, and have already started the next book.

A friendly warning--this one really ends on a cliffhanger!

It has been interesting to read this series as each book is written by a different author. We learn more about Chris in this book, and his history on Infinity is very interesting. Magoon does a good job showing Chris as an outsider, as Carly and Gabriel have to confront him about not working with them as a team.

The boys liked the saw toothed eels. I liked how the plot moved along. The teaser at theend, of two chapters of the fifth book, has us all riveted.

My name is Gabriel. We've arrived at the planet Infinity to retrieve the fourth element needed to create the Source. This time, our Alpha team must take the venom from a thousand Stingers, deadly bugs living in caves created by huge Saws. These Saws can eat through solid rock, and devouring us would not be a problem for them. It would be a massive problem for my friends and I. Our leader Dash is staying aboard the ship this time, and Chris is taking his place fir this mission. Chris has the most knowledge about our quest to save Earth, but I don't think he's telling us all he knows about the alien research team already on the planet. And what about the Omega team? They're racing against us to collect the elements first, and I don't trust them. They've already shown their dishonesty, but I'm not sure we're ready to see how treacherous they can truly be.

You need to read the other books in the series first. The differences between Alpha and Omega teams remain a big part of the books. The Alpha team is composed of positive characters and displays great teamwork, while the Omega team is the opposite. The Omega leader reverted back to her devious ways after showing a tiny bit of compassion in the last book. The crew has mixed feelings about her, and this will need to be resolved before the series ends. Dash's medical condition is becoming a major factor, as the mission is taking longer than planned. This twist creates an underlying conflict that will eventually affect all other events. All of the books in the series are fast-paced with plenty of adventure and action to hold your interest!

I absolutely loved the first three books in the series " Voyagers ". Clean, exciting couldn't put them down. The forth book was the same way, but towards the end one of the characters said the Lord's name in vain. Some people may not care, but when I am looking for a good quality book I don't read any containing those types of swear word(s). Really disappointing. I would have given the book 5 stars, the first three in the series didn't have to have the Lord's name in vain, so I'm not sure why it was necessary for this one to have it. Just my thoughts...

There were so many things that I liked about this book! Was it my favorite in the series so far? I wouldn't say that, but this book was so involved. We've seen Team Omega in a couple of lights, but they (mostly Anna and Collin) show their true colors in a despicable twist. If you don't feel empathy for Team Alpha when they are in the caves, you are seriously missing something that humans need. Humans are an emotional race, and this book explores that reality. This is definitely a great read and action-packed.

Uh oh...the journey continues, with just as much suspense. The reader may be wondering when they'll get all the elements already?! Although, that's why this book is really, primarily good for science kids because they'll be in suspense, and others may get too bored. Battles continue and this time, someone may not make it...(another reason for three stars, as some kids may not want to read that). Good for 5-8 and still sci fi.

Novel for grades 3-7. I love science fiction and action/adventure, so I liked this and I think kids will too! The themes of taking care of our planet and power resources are timely. Basically 4 kids save the planet.

The protagonist in this story is Dash. He is the captain of a crew called the voyagers or team alpha. He is tall, blond, and 13 1/2. His crew mainly calls him a good captain but in the beginning they were kind of worried. He knows failure is not an option and he will do all in his power to make sure all teammates come back from there voyage alive. I finished the whole book and the books before it and I am currently reading book 4.
