Beware! Lots of spoilers ahead.

After reading the first and second books, I felt like I needed to finish this series out. Damn my compulsive need to finish all the books and series I start! I just told myself that even though they were poorly written, they were short and after all, they couldn't get any worse. Stupid me. It actually could get worse!

Imagine my surprise, when a few pages in, the author decides to kill off Laney and James. WTF! There is a reason why you don't usually kill off your main characters early on. Wait for it...It ruins the freaking story!

From that point forward, the story continues in a disjointed, choppy manner. Lindsay becomes the new focus, as she escapes and sets out to make Jake and the others pay for what they've done. It sounds interesting, but it wasn't. She might just be the worst heroine ever.

Like the earlier books, this one was plagued with grammatical errors and misplaced words. I thought that the second book had improved slightly from the first, but this one was the absolute worst. I can overlook some minor grammatical errors, but this was horrible!

On top of that, the author again failed to do the most basic of research. Most obviously, there is a point in the story wher Lindsay is graciously offered a place to stay by an elderly lady. When Lindsay questions why she would be so willing to open her house to a stranger, the lady responds by stating that "back in her day" it was common to offer a place to stay to soldiers or to runaway slaves.

Say what? The American Civil War ended in 1865, which would make this lady over 150 years old if she were a newborn infant during that time. Get real! An exercise of simple first grade math should've clued the author in. Instead, the lack of basic research flaunts the author's ignorance of the facts. How a book gets published without somebody questioning this stuff is beyond me.

On top of everything else, Lindsay becomes just as bad as the men she was out to get. She turns into this blood-thirsty murderer, with little regard for anyone. It doesn't help that she repeatedly proves herself to be too stupid to live.

Perhaps fittingly, the ending was a disaster as well. I was left with this disgusted feeling, angry at myself for having wasted so much time finishing out a series that was bad to begin with and only got worse as it went along. I guess I'm equal parts disappointed in this series, and frustrated with myself for continuing it long after I knew I should have called it quits.

All I have to say is "RUN". Save yourself. Don't look back. Don't waste your time or money.

Disappointed to say the least

I understand this is a new Author and loved the first book errors and all. However by the third book the errors should be better not worse. Also why was this book listed in Romance it definitely is NOT a romance unless you consider rape as Romance.

The good guys meaning Lanes and Lindsay don't win, Jake does that in itself was a letdown.

********Warning, this may not be suitable for all to read. This is a very dark series and may be difficult for those with abusive histories*****

OMG!!!!! This is the third book in the Beautiful Nothing Series.

Alisha Cole completely rocks this series and the third book is no exception. It starts with a twist and you will not be expecting the MAJOR plot twist!

This series is very dark and she accurately portrays the emotional and mental demons victims encounter.

I will be re-reading this series as it speaks volumes~

I instantly became a fan of Alicia Cole when reading the first book in her My Beautiful Nothing Novella. I can relate to the character of Laney due to my slight tortured past of abuse I experienced as a young girl. I was not expecting all the twists turns, and exciting emotional feelings that I encountered while reading this series. I was afraid by reading it I would have flashbacks and would end up going to a place that I haven't been to in a really long time. That was not the case, Alisha Cole articulated the story in such a way that it helped empower me for future encounters to kick ass, never give up, and to keep surviving. It felt like she was in my mind when I was enduring certain circumstances in my life. I highly recommend you read this book, if not for the simple pleasure of a well-written novella, for the opportunity to deal with and possibly put an end to your demons.
I am stunned by the plot twist in this story, I NEVER SAW IT COMING!!!
5*'s doesn't begin to acknowledge the heart and soul that was poured into this amazing story.
Alisha Cole, you are amazing, gifted and truly a badass.

I was lucky enough to have read This Great book before Everyone!

This Book picks up exactly where the previous one, My Beautiful Lies ended.

Alisha sucks you right in from the first page and leaves you exhausted and screaming for more with the last page !! For me a great book needs to make me feel !

Ohhh i felt alright with this book ! Betrayal, Love, Fear, Sadness, Anger, name it i felt it !!

From her first book My Beautiful Nightmare to this one, Alisha is becoming more and more sure of herself with every book and her writting reflects it !! She is becoming exactly what she wants to be, a great Author of the Dark !

Awesome read, short, but packed with everything you expect and want from a great book !! Give this one a try. A wild ride that will take you places that you would not have guessed possible !!!

An Amazing 5 Stars and more for me !! And don't worry this book will not be the last in this awesome Series, The Beautiful Nothing !!!

This is the third book in the series and the plot twists are incredible. Boy was it a ride! This picks back up right where "My Beautiful Lies" ends and right from the beginning there are things that happened that I never expected and that’s pretty much how I felt throughout the rest of the book. This follows Lindsay after she is able to escape where she's been held all this time. This is a short story but so full of twist and turns and unexpected events. It will keep you guessing and the pages flying as you become engrossed in these characters and how you think it will end. And the ending.... I have no words. If you love dark reads you must pick up this series!

This is the third book the beautiful nothing series.

This is amazing book. I had been rooting for this book to be finished so I could find out what happens.

This carries on from end of My Beautiful Lies. Where Laney saw her missing friend Lindsay.

This story follows Lindsay after she finally gets away. This book is shocking and you can't expect to know what will happen as you don't expect things to go the way it does. I couldn't put this book down from page one.

This series is amazing, and it is written brilliantly.

OMFG this book just BLEW ME AWAY. I'm left speechless and just completely torn. The author tackles dark subjects so beautifully, and I love the way her mind works! The whole book kept me on my toes, and made me cry and feel for the characters and when it ended it was even more perfect than the last time. Wow, Alisha. I mean, I have NO WORDS to describe what I felt after reading this. I mean I was SUCKED into the world from the beginning! The descriptions were beautiful the dialog was extraordinary. Bravo!

From the first page: readers are launched into a twisted and violent journey. Readers are left uncertain to what will happen next and it's a thriller ride, filled with dangerous decisions and too many villains to name. My Beautiful Freedom will leave you gripping your seat and screaming in despair. You will not see the ending coming... Kudos to Alisha for a remarkable ending to such a dramatic, violent, and thrilling series.

Damn, what a ride

Lindsay, aka abby aka Minnie oh my I can't describe who I feel after reading this concoction, I loved it and hated it. Loved that Lindsay got her some justice, but hated it because Laney and James are not in it and because of that ending. Damn Alisha you killed it with this series I loved it!!
