Her award-winning books include STALKED, which earned the 2012 Gold Medal for Young Adult Mystery from Literary Classics and is hailed as "historical fiction with a thrilling twist." The book was really amazing. because the author has chosen great choice of words. I love how the three children solve the mystery of what happened to the stolen treasures. I also love how bob the boyfriend has framed the chef by putting his knife in the treasure bag and threw in into the lake. I enjoyed the book because im a person who loves mystery. if you are a person who loves mystery this is the book for you.

"The Clue at the Bottom of the Lake" by Kristiana Gregory was a good little mystery. Strange objects dumped into a lake. A hidden island. A few suspicious suspects with clues pointing in several directions. A fun read.
Loved this book for my 3rd -5th grade reading groups. It is a high interest/low readability book that appeals to a wide range of my students. And, even better, it's part of series so the kids have other books to look forward to.
When twelve year old Jeff Bridger spots a shadowy figure drop something in the lake, he and his younger brother David, and their cousin Claire investigate and discover a duffel bag full of stolen artifacts, and try to find out who is behind the theft.
It was boring in the beginning. Then it stayed boring. You thought you could solve it, but it actually wasn't a very interesting answer. But I actually liked it.
Cant really rate it. Probably would’ve gave it a 5 out of 5 when I first read it as a kid. Just read it again now in a day for fun. Love me. Good treasure hunting / mystery story.
This mystery is sure to keep young readers turning the pages. As the two young brothers and their cousin investigate some suspicious activity they see in the middle of the lake, readers can make predictions and inferences. The kids find clues along the way and follow leads that take them in the wrong direction. This is a great mystery for children to read as they practice making and adjusting their predictions as they read!
Read together with my 5th grader. He enjoys the series and wants to keep reading each night. The mystery is not easily figured out until the very end, so it keeps us both interested. The language is good for accelerated 3rd grader, but my struggling 5th grader can read it with very few questionable words. The characters are 2 boys and a girl cousin, so it would appeal to any child that enjoys outdoor adventures.
This is a good book if you are into good old mystery books.I enojed this book wanting to read more and more of it ,eventually i would have to put it down because it would be to late at night.I have read this book a couple of times never getting sick of it one bit.I would really reccommend this book to anybody who likes good old mystery books.
This was a good, short book to read! When I was in 2nd grade I loved the A to Z Mysteries and this series really reminds me of it!!! Both are short, mysterious, and the characters were very similar(2 boys and 1 girl). Anyway if you love the A to Z Mysteries you'l love this series and THIS book! Four stars <3
A light-hearted mystery involving 3 children and a mysterious duffel bag submerged in a lake. This reminded me of those types of mysteries purchased from the Scholastic Book Club while in grade school.
This book is about a boy named Jeff spotting someone dumping a large bundle into the lake. The cousins suspect foul play. I like this book because it has mysteries. I would recommend to a friend so they can know all about mysteries.
The Clue at the Bottom of the Lake, by Kristiana Gregory, is a great and short read. This book is about three cousins who live on the side of the lake together in two separate houses with their families. They find some things, can't tell obviously, but the mystery goes on and it is a very interesting book. I I enjoyed this book because there was never a moment you did not want to stop reading. From them finding the treasure to them solving the 'mystery". It keeps you going and never really has a part that has too much description or drags on. This book explains what needs to be said and moves on and I really enjoy a book like that, it doesn't wear you out of reading. However, I also did not enjoy this book because it was a super easy read, could've had a longer intro so you would remember everything better, and introduce you to everyone at the beginning instead of you finally getting to know some of the characters right at the end. I did not enjoy how it did that and I think it would of been better if it introduced that character at the beginning of the book instead. I think the life lesson is this book would be to always tell the truth and right away because you never know what can happen. Many things would not have happened to the kids if they would of immeditaly let the ones with authority over them take control of the situation and let them figure it out.
