I admire independent authors, they do all their own work, which usually means their work is full of mistakes, not on purpose, but because no one can catch all the repeated sentences and misspellings or vague characters description. I have read books, where I have wanted to get my red pen out and go argggg, no,no, no,... Not so with Kaylin's book. I did not catch any of those mistakes at all.. Most will say the prologue gets you into the book and grab you, not so for me in this, don't get me wrong, she did great on the prologue and you do not figure it out until the very end.. And how a publishing company has not picked her up yet is beyond me..It was her poem, before the prologue, thank goodness I went back on my kindle and read everything before book starts or I would have missed it..Now to the book, what can I say? Not all secrets are best kept unspoken, some can eat you up inside and keep you from truly loving anybody even yourself. Bitterness, hatefulness, anger and money and power..Those are the baseness of this book in my eyes. Off on a yacht, modern day treasure hunters, go to get a bitter Uncles blessing on their marriage, only to be thrown into a mystery and kidnapping hunting adventure like never before. Only to find themselves and uncover truths and secrets, thought buried forever. In the process of the twists and turns, they learn what is really important in life and find newness in their love and family.
the characters are well defined, the pace is just enough to keep you interested, then right in the middle it picks up, and makes you want more, then leads you to the climax, begging for answers. You are left satisfied, but still wondering. I really hope there are more adventures of Rachel,Chase, Sloan,Sly to follow. Very good Ms. McFarren you have a fan..
