This... This is a book that just needs to be savored. Each moment needs to be devoured and felt. Never rushed. Beneath the Vine isn't one that deserves to be hurried at all. See, this is the kind of books that I live for—the ones that take you on massive twists and then blindsides you on every freaking turn. The ones that make you feel deep in your bones what the characters are going through. The stories that embed themselves at the very core of your heart that it'll take forever before you even forget all about it. To say that this book is an emotional and mental rollercoaster is putting it very lightly. I'm still in such a daze at the moment that I'm struggling to put words together to describe how much this made me
feel.
But it all boils down to one thing: I CERTAINLY LOVED IT.
Let's face it, it's all hot and steamy as hell, but this book is so much more. It's a million times more than what I expected, to be honest. I was overwhelmed and flooded with so much heartache, so much grief and pain, yet at the same time, there was hope and love and elation. I even felt the butterflies in my stomach somewhere in the middle of it all. There were even tears involved! I don't think I've ever been this torn between two men in one book in all of my reading history. It was like a constant tug of war going on inside my chest.
Bennett Monterosso saw her first. He's a businessman who loved to take control in the bedroom, but he was intimate and sensual. Although, he started to build his life full of lies after that one incident and he couldn't go back. He was living on guilt every single day. Gage Calibri is abad boy man with a heart of gold. He always stuck with what he knew was right. But when it came to the bedroom, he thrived and got off on pure, utter dominance. What came after though will just stir something within your heart. He and Bennett are brothers, maybe not by blood, but it was that close that they'd even share a woman. Giovanna Selene Cavalier was at a very low point in her life. She was struggling to keep herself afloat and she was just scraping by, but she had dreams and goals. Selene is such a strong, brave woman and I adored her. She pummeled through whatever life threw at her like a champ. Honestly, there was a point where I just didn't want to be her. She was so torn and I couldn't even imagine how I would've handled all of that if I were in her place. So this girl—she deserves all the love and happiness. She survived and she was happy.
Lillian Bryant, you are terrifyingly brilliant. I can't put into words how much you moved me with this book. I need to read more of what you write! This book is everything . I'm writing this review and trying my hardest to be cool and down earth but I can't because I'm high on BOOKDRENALINE . I'm having a BOOKGASM here .
What a rollercoaster ride . Wow !
Words fail me . I'm in awe of this author and this story is truly amazing . Such a a masterpiece cleverly put together . Brilliant . I loved the characters . Three of them have a special place in my heart now . I loved them separately and together in each and every possible combination.
At first I was full on team Bennett , I loved the dark brooding aspect of him and how he cared about Selene . I loved who she were with him . Loved the submission the complete and utter trust and the way the author captured it . She made you fall for Bennett and hell bent on wanting them together and the. She'd pull a stunt on you and shows how equally perfect Gio /Selene was with gage. And Gage oh my god ! At some point I was like no please don't make love him don't make me feel for him don't make me choose buy boy did she ....
Another thing I loved about this book is the writing . Her writing is so beautiful and flawless and bone deep in the emotions you'll fill it down to your marrow. The way she captures the connection, every single moment , she made everything count . Nothing is fake or overplayed . Nothing . It's perfect really ...
You think you've seen it all by 97% she throw you off guard you'd be left stunned . My jaw hit the floor at that point . My word this book kept me on the edge of my seat all the way to the epilogue . And boy the epilogue . MY GOODNESS ! I love you author A M Johnson ! Authors like you remind me why I love reading so much
As much as she created turmoil within me at some point by the end of the book I felt so fulfilled that no matter what was the ending I would be happy . Happy to have read such an amazing book and shared such an amazing journey with these wonderful charchaters they will forever stay with me .

MIND BLOWING!!! This book is no doubt one of my favorites of the year!!! This book is pure gold!!! It's very rare that I become completely consumed by a book like I did with this one. I read Beneath the Vine in a little over 24 hours, which for me is unheard of! I have literally been walking around my house with my kindle in my hand since yesterday. I just couldn't stop reading this book.
There is SO much more to this book than what the synopsis alludes to. This is an intelligently written, scorching hot book. It's got suspense, heartbreak and some insanely hot mfm action, and a heart stopping conclusion. My stomach was in knots for the last quarter of this book. I loved the characters, especially the fact that the guys were in their 30's. Because let's face it, sometimes I get tired of reading about people who are half my age. Bennett and Gage are confident, successful, sexy as hell businessmen. But they each have secrets to hide, and Selene becomes involved in their web of lust, secrets, lies and deception. And did I mention super hot mfm scenes?! Can I please come back as Selene in my next life????

Beneath The Vine is the story of bestfriends Bennett Montessoro and Gage Calibri. These two grew up like brothers and shared EVERYTHING with each other. Everything-- women included. Due to some circumstances, they stopped doing what they used to do and parted ways. But then, the lovely cello player, Selene Cavalier happened.
I love how this book was written. It is written in alternating POVs (Gage, Bennett and Selene’s), so you will be able to experience the book thoroughly. Each character has a story that will pique every reader's' interest. It's quite unpredictable, and I'm very sure that this is not the romance most of us commonly encounter.
And just when you thought one book boyfriend will be enough to send shivers down your spine, try two. Bennett and Gage are equally hot, yet very unique. I want both of these men for myself!
Writing with this theme is such a tricky move for some authors, however, Ms. Bryant was able to pull it off very, very well. I really cannot afford to have a massive book hangover right now, because a lot of books are still waiting for me. But damn it, this book is going to make it really hard for me to move on. If u loved Alessandra Torre's SEX LOVE REPEAT, BENEATH THE VINE will also take your breath away.
It's a 5 scorching hot stars for me all the way, no doubt! Lillian Bryant, you are now one of my most favorite erotica writers!

Every now and then, a book comes along that tears you apart and slowly page by page puts you back together. This is what happened to me while reading Beneath the Vine. Nothing could prepare me for the emotional roller coaster Lillian put me on. From the very first page, to the last word I was captivated, enthralled and utterly destroyed, but I don't regret a moment.
This book was beautifully written. The emotion that captured me was all consuming and I can't even begin to explain how much the characters twined themselves around my heart and mind while reading this.
Selene, a fiercely independent, but naturally submissive girl is a talented cellist. She's not looking for love, a relationship or anything remotely to do with love, when Bennett Monterosso walks into her life. She's taken on a whirlwind of emotion by this incredibly sexy, successful man and against her better judgement gets herself involved in something she is powerless to stop.
Bennett is a collector, he's used to have things in life that are pure luxury. When he sets his sights on Selene, there is no stopping him from getting her. The exquisite chemistry between them is apparent on their first meeting when things take on more than they both bargained for. But Bennett isn't all that he seems. He has secrets he's hiding and we all know that when secrets come out, nothing good can come of them... Or can it?
Gage, let me start by saying that I am #TeamGage all the way! He is dark, alluring, and just plain decadent! Once he sees Selene performing at the Monterosso Winery there is nothing that can stand in his way to stop him having her. His best friend Bennett and him hold a fascination for this alluring beauty, and they cannot stop themselves when she weaves her way into their hearts and minds. Although Gage knows he can never fall in love with Selene. She isn't his... Or is she?
Hearts are torn, feelings are ignited, bodies are tangled. But at what price? This book will leave you wanting more. There is nothing conventional about this story, but it's one that will leave you with a book hangover for days after.

So it's been over a week since I finished this. I'm still not 100% sure my emotions are in check.
firstly it's worth pointing out I generally avoid Love triangles. even when it's a menagè situation. I am so ridiculously glad I read this one.
Selene is determined to leave behind her childhood. She refuses to end up like her mother. working herself to death doing some job she hates. Her dream is to teach music. But before does so she feels the need to live life to the fullest. whilst playing Cello at the opening of a new Winery she meets Bennett. There is no denying her immediate draw to him. She also catches the eye of his best friend Gage. Bennett and Gage have not spoken in 5 years. They have a history of sharing women and soon fall back into old habits. What follows is some of the hottest sex scenes I've read. ever. They are ridiculously hot but still manage to be beautiful. there is not a crude moment in this book.
aside from the sexual relationship they share there are also some intense emotions. it's impossible to go into detail without spoilers so I won't. what I will say be prepared to feel torn in all kinds of directions here.
running through all of this is a great mystery that will keep you up all night to finish this. the story is so full of suspense. it's a touch dark but in a gorgeous way.
I never expected to feel so torn up over this. by 80% in I didn't know which way was up.

I just finished Beneath the Vine and cannot even begin to express how incredible this book was. It has become one of my favourite books this year. This is the first book I've read by A.M. Johnson and I am so impressed and have become in love with her writting.
The saying 3 is a crowd doesn't apply here. The author takes you on this roller-coaster ride of emotions between these 3 characters and I loved each of them separately and together. Usually a book will grab me and I'll be drawn to the heroine and/or the alpha male but this one is special becuse it made me feel a bond between all 3 of these amazing characters.
This book is more than meets the eye, I loved the suspense of the story, the hot and steamy scenes were burning through my Kindle (It made me wish my name was Selene and not Sanela ... close enough:)

THIS!!! THIS BOOK!! I really can't say enough about it!! I absolutely loved every minute of this fabulous emotional roller coaster of a story line. First and foremost, I have to say that Lillian's writing is beautiful!! She has a brilliant way with words in which she conveyed for us a world that was so rich and intense that I really felt like I was a part of Selene's life. From the start you are pulled in, instantly forming a connection with a strong willed girl named Giovanna Selene Cavalier, who strives to be better than her past, who desires to live up to what her mama would have wanted for her and had worked all her life for her daughter to have. She was a tough girl who knew that she wanted to achieve greatness in her career and didn't need or want any distractions to take away from that. Then enter Bennett Monterosso and Gage Calibri. Oh my HOTTNESS!! These men are both older then her by a couple of years, and let's be honest here, who doesn't love an older, mature, hot as fuck alpha male business man who knows what he wants and stops at nothing to get it?!?!? NOBODY! That's who!! And the best part?!? There are two of them!
They have both been best friends for years, to the point where they are basically brothers, and are so loyal to each other that they can confidently share woman together on a regular basis and not let that come between them. There is this connection with them that I think, for me, was such an important aspect of the book. You understood how close they were, how their need for control and dominance balanced their friendship, and even though something came between them that forced them to part ways for a number of years, the friendship remained and became such a significant plot of the story line. Especially in regards to each other's relationship with Selene. Bennett enters Selene's life first and I don't blame this girl for throwing all her worries and reservations to the wind! While of course she still had them, she knew her life would forever change upon meeting this gorgeous, beautifully damaged man, and the sex was hot and steamy as all hell. So really, not seeing him wasn't an option for her. I get it!! Go get him girl!! And then, of course, enter Gage Calibri, who she meets outside of Bennett and instantly feels some sort of connection. But she doesn't act upon it until, of course, it's presented to her. And HOLY FUCK!!!! I fuckin' LOVVVVEEEDDDD Gage with all my heart. But really, my heart broke on so many occasions for all three of these characters, and to say that the ending fucked with my with life is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I couldn't believe the ending!! I was floored!!! My mouth was hanging open for probably the last 20 to 30% of the book, and once I was finished, I just hugged my iPad to my chest and smiled a big goofy grin!! The ups and downs, lows and highs, push and pull between these two men will have you swooning to your hearts content, and then shedding tears for their pain! Lillian Bryant's writing is just magic and everyone, I mean EVERYONE, has to take the time out of their lives to read this book. THIS!!! THIS BOOK!! I really can't say enough about it!! I absolutely loved every minute of this fabulous emotional roller coaster of a story line. First and foremost, I have to say that Lillian's writing is beautiful!! She has a brilliant way with words in which she conveyed for us a world that was so rich and intense that I really felt like I was a part of Selene's life. From the start you are pulled in, instantly forming a connection with a strong willed girl named Giovanna Selene Cavalier, who strives to be better than her past, who desires to live up to what her mama would have wanted for her and had worked all her life for her daughter to have. She was a tough girl who knew that she wanted to achieve greatness in her career and didn't need or want any distractions to take away from that. Then enter Bennett Monterosso and Gage Calibri. Oh my HOTTNESS!! These men are both older then her by a couple of years, and let's be honest here, who doesn't love an older, mature, hot as fuck alpha male business man who knows what he wants and stops at nothing to get it?!?!? NOBODY! That's who!! And the best part?!? There are two of them!
They have both been best friends for years, to the point where they are basically brothers, and are so loyal to each other that they can confidently share woman together on a regular basis and not let that come between them. There is this connection with them that I think, for me, was such an important aspect of the book. You understood how close they were, how their need for control and dominance balanced their friendship, and even though something came between them that forced them to part ways for a number of years, the friendship remained and became such a significant plot of the story line. Especially in regards to each other's relationship with Selene. Bennett enters Selene's life first and I don't blame this girl for throwing all her worries and reservations to the wind! While of course she still had them, she knew her life would forever change upon meeting this gorgeous, beautifully damaged man, and the sex was hot and steamy as all hell. So really, not seeing him wasn't an option for her. I get it!! Go get him girl!! And then, of course, enter Gage Calibri, who she meets outside of Bennett and instantly feels some sort of connection. These characters will eat you alive. From the heart stopping emotions, to the bouts of jealousy, the rage and audacity at some of the twists and turns that will have you gripping at your hair. This book devoured me. It took me on an emotional high that I was not expecting. The main characters consumed me.

This book is absolutely brilliant . I know it's a book I will go to the revisit again. It has so many layers, and is insightful, yet sexy . The Characters have fantastic development and the author just has a way of writing that you are caught in her web that she crafts for the love story for her characters. This isn't your typical love story yet it is so poignant you can't help but be cut by the intensity of it You will feel so many emotions but it's worth the adventure worth the ride .

Wow! that's just one word to describe how amazing this book is. You'll laugh and cry and fall in love with Bennett and Gage, each offering something different. A emotional rollercoaster it was and I enjoyed every high and low. Great story and 2 crazy sexy hot men that'll have you needing a cold shower!

Lillian Bryant created a masterpiece Beneath The Vine. Not many people can take a subject matter like this book and make it into something beautiful and not distasteful, but Bryant pulled it off spectacularly.
Selene lives a normal and slightly dull life. The thrill she gets out of her life comes from her Cello. She looses herself in her instrument and finds the beauty in it when she plays. But one night she sees a man watching her from afar as she plays and instantly knows he's trouble, but she can't look away from him. Something about the dark, alluring man, begs her to come closer...even though he easily has the power to destroy her.
Selene is soon thrust into a world that she never imagined she would be in. Two men pining for her and both have secrets. Secrets that could destroy them all. But Selene finds herself falling for both of these men.
Gage and Bennett may be old friends but they are nothing alike and both want the girl. Gage has always been the background noise when it comes to Bennett, and the woman they share. But Gage finds himself wanting Selene...more than he should, because he knows she already belongs to Bennett.

I think I'm still too fresh in my emotions to describe my feelings, but I'll try my best.
When I first read the blurb for this book, I did a huge step back. 3 people. Two men, one woman. NOT my thing. I don't do love triangles.
However, this was different.
Two men who had a past together, who shared more than what others would believe, found the perfect woman who fed both of their needs.
The desire and sensuality in this book left you on the edge of your seat, practically begging to know what was going to happen next.
Selene, she was such a beautiful character. I love a character that I can connect with, and I really connected with her. She had an almost innocent vibe going around her and it was alluring.
Gage, at the beginning I was immediately saying "he is so damn attractive". There is something about him that just drawls you in and makes you get lost in everything that is him. He is sweet and passionate and dominant. I loved him.
Bennett. This man was my favorite of all. I can't describe my love for him. He has such a broken, beautiful soul and it made me want to mend it. He made me frustrated at times, very frustrated, but he had a good heart.

Beneath the Vine had me buzzing with desire and intense interest from the first few pages. I was seduced by words, simple combinations of letters lulled me into a dreamlike trance. There's a cadence to this story, it's hypnotic and sensual. My pulse raced while reading Bennett's story and his intense and instantaneous connection to Selene is electric. I'm in love with this book, the imagery created by Lillian Bryant allows you to feel the characters deeply and hence its extremely fulfilling. Gage, I just have to say he's smoldering, intense and more evolved than Bennett, making him more realistically connected. Watching the strong, determined Selene find herself through the eyes of these two men, is mesmerizing. The erotic pull of the men and her uncompromised leap off of her carefully planned route makes her stronger, she's been so focused. These two very demanding men push her to the heights of passion and make her question everything she's fought so hard to achieve. I hadn't fully embraced either man, not in a negative way, it's just that Lillian Bryant writes gorgeously flawed characters that pull you into their stories, so deeply and without hesitation that you want them all in every way.

But when he meets Selene, he is taken back by her. She is a successful cellist, who has fought to be the best. She is brave, and yet submissive. She is passionate, and yet holds back.
Gage is dark and charming. He is Bennett’s best friend, but holds his own secretes. Both Bennett and Gage see Selene at the same event. Bennett maybe first to taste her, but Gage is patient to enjoy her. The two men decide to share her while Gage is in town.
If love was easy, everyone would have it. It takes work, and time. In this story some will walk away, others will get hurt, but no one is left untouched.

There are no words I can find to express the love the have for this book!! There's so much passion between the three main characters. It's hard to choose which team to be on because you have no choice but to love them both in their own way. Selene is so confused and torn by these two sexy men, Gage and Bennett. Your heart and mind are both pulled in so many directions. The climax and plot twist are both equally mind blowing!! The erotic scenes are so full of heat and intensity. You find your heart aching yet so full. Beneath the Vine is one of my favorites of this year, and I can't wait for more from her.

Wow!! This book was soooo good!! I was pulled in right from the first page until the very last page. If you love M/F/M and love triangles, you will love this. You will fall in love with Selene (Gio), Bennett, and Gage. They have amazing chemistry together! The ending will surprise you, or maybe it won't. You'll just have to read it yourself. There is even some suspense mixed in. This book has it all! You will not want to put it down once you start! I hope there is a sequel to this book, but for now I will be recommending this book to all my book friends! I also look forward to reading more from this author that is new to me.

Holy crap this book was way beyond my expectations it was so much better then I could have ever imagined!! I fell for Gage from the start what can I say I like tall dark handsome lol. Bennett is good looking too but I'm team Gage all the way!! These scenes were just to hot I couldn't put this book down it was that good! It's work more then 5 stars I will tell you that!! Gio is such a strong minded woman she so brave and daring wow!! Again I loved this book!!!! I want more lol Lillian Bryant doll everyone I know needs to read this I will definitely spread the word!!!
