The Three Blind Mice and the Three Little Pigs team up to help each other out against the Big Bad Wolf & Mrs. Farmer. They trade places pretending to be each other to scare off the bad guys-Big Bad Wolf & Mrs. Farmer. This is a quick read for kids. Summaries of both stories, writing prompts, and other versions of the stories are given at the end. The writing prompts help kids to take the story even further by challenging them to imagine the story from the Wolf's perspective, give directions to the Three Blind Mice, and imagining what Mrs. Farmer would tell the newspaper if she were interviewed. It also includes a small glossary of terms, which are in bold print during the story, for kids to learn.

3.5 stars So, mice the size of pigs...there is my worst nightmare come true. But if mice were the size of pigs I could control them and would be a little easier to catch and chances are they wouldn't scurry around and get stuck in the walls. Blame it on the headache but this mix up story is making me dizzy but it was still fun!!!

This alluring picture book series of fairy tale mash ups is more than cute. Funny, visually stimulating and quirky, Harrison introduces youngsters not only to the origin of many of some best loved fables and fairy tales, but also encourages them to think outside the brick house as it were here, and examine life's dilemmas from more than one point of view.
