MaryAnn Minatra's "Alcott Legacy Series" is now my all time FAVORITE series. Ever. I don't know what else to say! Every scene is critical to the story and something is always happening! And I can usually guess when a plot is going to have a twist, but she can lead you on thinking its one thing and then all of a sudden its something totally different! Loved it!

This is the final book of the Alcott legacy, and it turned out to be more enjoyable than the first books. In this book you can see a progression in the family as they all decided to follow the Lord and much Christian doctrine is played out throughout the story. It shows me how much a family can grow in their Christian love for each other and their faithfulness to the Lord no matter how depressing matters came into their lives. It is best to read the first two volumes in this series before you read the final book. A lot relates back to the previous volumes.

Loved the conclusion of this series, and made me cry a few times - the best out of the three.

At first I was not sure I was going to like this book, because it has a lot of jumping around from place to place. I was pleasantly surprised! After the first few chapters I was hooked. The book flowed together very nicely, and was easy to follow once I got used to the characters. Minatra's writing style is pretty amazing. I noticed myself reading in the accents of the places that the stories took place in. It was almost as if I was really there with the characters. I will definitely be reading the first two books in the series.

Update and review for series:
The best thing about this series is that each book can be read without reading the others. I read "The Heirloom" first, and then went back to "The Tapestry" and "The Masterpiece". My favorite was definitely "The Heirloom". It was just the most exciting and really kept me wanting more. The books connect pretty well together, but there is a lot missing that I would have liked to seen more of. There is so much time in between them that they really are separate stories about different people. We only get somewhat of a memory of the previous books.
The books were very predictable with relationships and even though there is closure at the end of each book, I still felt like I was left hanging. We got a lot of the "pre-relationship" and not a lot after that. Also, the drama seems to be drawn out a bit more than I would have liked (especially in "The Masterpiece").
Overall this series was well written and pretty interesting. It was worth reading.
