Venture forth—if you dare—into the hazardous territory that is the girl brain...! From the dreaded doom of bra-shopping to the delights and disasters of modern-day living, this book offers a humorous, revealing, and hugely-relatable exploration of what it means to be a girl in the twenty-first century.
Nina Cosford has illustrated several books for children. Her artwork also appears on greeting cards, and in magazines and advertisements. She lives in Hastings, England.
I loved reading this. I had the luck to meet Nina and she’s such a lovely person, which really shines through in this lovely book. The illustrations are beautiful and it’s very nice to read about some (to me) very relatable struggles. It's not a book that will make every girl feel totally understood, but I don't think that was the point. I think this book portrays the author and her struggle with every day (girly) things in a relatable way (for most readers). The book is very light-hearted and gives solace. It should, therefore, be read as a light-hearted book, and should not be dragged into heavy discussion territory, where it's accused of being "gender-enforcing" or "wrongly stereotyping girls/women". It gives a funny perspective on the little (or sometimes slightly bigger) things that get the author down in life and because it's brought up in a relatble way, it often put a smile on my face. It's an honest book about a girl and her struggles, which, in my opinion, isn't enforcing anything on anybody. This book is great, and the illustrations are amazing :) 10/10 recommend.

I just falling in love with this cute, funny and also hillarious in the same time about girls! hahaha i even laugh thats so many true about us, girls.. We can't just let go from our house without thinking what is our outfit today or we should go with make up.. this books makes me laugh especially the many types of bra (it looks like so sexy? so girly?)
Everything we do gives off an impression of who we are, or more importantly who we want to be.
Life is to be embraced, as is myself. After all, life is work in progress, as is every girl on this planet. So be yourself because no on else can do a better job of it than you.

My Name is Girl is an amazing book, hilarious and great to guide anyone through the ins and outs of being a girl! Every page is delightful, the illustrations by Nina are creative and colourful, pure gold! You will be laughing out loud, to each glorious page. Yes and this book is one that can be read many times… to give yourself a little boost.
Well done for creating a little haven on goodness. Sweets ta
As a so called Girl myself I did not find any similarities or shared feelings with this book! It's too girly in my opinion and too stereotypical which is not the right road to choose if you want to talk about a female mind! Drawings are cool though but honestly irrelevant to be generalised to all girls and women.
I cannot stop smiling while reading this book. It’s funny and hilarious on every page. Even I just can relate on some parts, but I still enjoy reading it. But somehow, this book is kinda have no plot I guess (?). Instead of the story, Nina focused on the illustrations, an I give 4 for that
Entretenido.
Cute and i like her illustrations to be honest. I like how the ending chapter remind us as a woman to be aware with our life, giving, nurturing without forget about our own well-being.
