I really wanted to love this story but it was too many things that I did not like and thats way I cann not give it more stars. The writing was good with alternating POV. The characters were ok, well develop. I liked Silas. Who would not like such sexy bad boy? His personality was likable and his body yummmi. I liked that he was determined and sure in his feelings toward Heidi. Heidi in the other hand was for me not so likable. I got feeling she wanted to be with Silas just to escape her father because the way he treated her. I didn't get the feeling that she fell in love with him the first or the other time she saw him. But chemistry between them was really hot and they had a few really hot scenes. The story has quick pace and the end is with HE.

There is nothing believable about this book. It spans about three weeks, but the main part of the book is three or so days. From 'hey how are ya' to 'have my baby'... Ive read books like this before, and even enjoyed a few (Alexa Riley can pull this off). However for me, this didn't work in this book. It just seemed thrown together and messy. The h came across as childish a lot. And the H, I just couldn't connect with him, he was just kinda meh. All tell, no show. It wasn't the worst book ever, it was a really quick unmemorable read.

I loved Silas and Heidi's story it was a nice refreshing read about love at first site!! It was heartwarming and had a beautiful ending!!

The only redeeming quality of this book was the Hero. It was upsetting he foolishly fell for the heroine. He deserved so much better.

Heidi just got dumped by text and she is drinking to forget what he did to her. Silas see's her at the bar and doesn't hesitate to put the moves on her. She resists for a second and then decides that for once she is going to do something for herself for a change.
They end up back at Silas's apartment and have a passionate night.
Two weeks goes by and Silas was finally able to track Heidi down. He realizes that she is someone he wants to build a life with. As a child Silas went from foster home to foster home, never feeling wanted. He has no one except for his brothers in the military. Heidi is being raised by her very strict father, after her mother was killed, who ruins every date she tries to go on.
I'm not sure if it was insta-love but it was definitely insta-lust. Once Silas was with Heidi he immediately wanted to have a baby with her. It didn't take long for her to agree with him. Now to convince her dad that they can be together.
This isn't a deep story but very light reading. An enjoyable read, well written, first book I had read from this author and will definitely read more. Although Silas did come across as a little creepy considering how obsessed he was with Heidi and getting her pregnant but for a short story it was a good read. I wouldn't mind having my own Silas Hamilton!! <3

I have very mixed feeling about this book. I did not like Heidi. I thought she was way to much of a coward for Silas. She was 22 years old and still letting her father treat her like a child. That's not the kind of heroine I like to read about at all. I liked Silas to a certain degree. I liked his honesty and the way he knows what he wants but I didn't like how he kind of railroaded Heidi into having a kid just because he wanted one. Overall I give it points for effort but there was just too much I didn't like.

Silas is in the army and doesn't know when he will be deployed. He goes to a club and see Heidi by herself and he wants her for himself . Heidi just got broken up with her boyfriend Kyle. So Heidi decides to have fun for one night out of her whole life. Silas does what he wants when he wants. He's a take change kind of man. Oh man does he take Heidi. I loved the story line and plot. I couldn't put it done until the end. I do hope that there will be a next book with Silas's friend Jeff and Heidi's friend Livie. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I was a good, enjoyable short, fast-paced read. Is well-written and with likeable character, but it felt a little to rushed. I just wish it had been a little longer. I really love Leah Holt's writting style, and I'm always looking forward for what she got in store for us.

Gifted an ARC for a honest review……
Im not always a fan of insta-love, however i enjoyed Silas and Heidi’s story. Having a family member who’s an Army Ranger, I understand the “Live Your Life” mentality and he does because of the suffers of the woman he loves….just like Silas. Compelling characters, quick, easy read. Great job Leah!!

I wanna go like 2.5 stars. I really wanted to like this story but it was hard. The story was very very rushed and it was hard to connect with the story. Out of the whole book this story was 35% of the book and the "free" book was the rest of it. I wished the story was longer so I could connect better.

Got to love a Soldier who knows what he wants and has no shame in saying it. This book was hot from the first page. Kept me reading. Silas wants Hiedi and family that he has never had.
I enjoyed this book with a great HEA. great writing.

Not much to say about this one, insta lust, pretty much insta love. Unbelievable and terrible decisions made by both MCs BUT it was well written and it had a sweet HEA. Overall a decent quick read and I would read more by this author

If you are looking for a steamy novella about a romantic military guy you will enjoy this story like I did. Silas and Heidi had such a strong chemistry I really enjoyed their HEA journey.

Quite enjoyed the story, Silas was an interesting character. I didn't like the fact that the book finished at 35% and then a free novel was tagged on the end. I wanted more from the original story.

Just plain ridiculous. I'm sorry, I know it sounds harsh but the plot and the writing were so bad. I finished the book just so I can give it 1 star.
