Real Men Do it Better is a collection of six steamy short stories that literally get the fire started when each heroine's vibrator malfunctions. This book moves quickly and has an enjoyable collection of authors with unique voices. My personal favorites are Evelyn Adams story House on Fire, and Lori Sjoberg's Burning Down the House. Each of these stories has couples that are reunited after many years apart and circumstances rekindle the spark from years ago. If you're looking for a steamy collection of stories that will light a fire and kick start your libido then Real Men Do it Better is for you.

I was provided an ARC for an honest opinion and review.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading these short stories. I was immediately drawn in by the blurb of the book and I wasn't disappointed by the read. I laughed right out loud a couple of times to beware if you are reading this at work or in public. :-) These are short stories and a couple leave you hanging and looking for the next story to pick up and find out what happens all in all a very nice little hot read that I enjoyed and have found a couple new authors that I will begin following as a result! Give this one a shot and I don't think you will be disappointed!

This is a collection of hot steamy short stories all with the same starting point their B.O.B. (battery operated boyfriend) malfunctions and catches fire. A sexy male shows up to save the day and they become sexually involved as a fling or more? You will have to read the stories to see how each one plays out. These are fast moving stories that keep you involved in the situations presented - there's humor to put a smile on your face too. Great collection of authors writing stories with the same general theme.

This box set is well worth the time if you love alpha males and the women they are trying to make love them. The author's involved are mostly well known to you as well as a few you may have heard of. From farmers, firemen, businessmen as well as an ex com this set has a little something for everyone. At the end of each story is a small blurb about the author who wrote it and a link to their newsletters. There is comedy, heart and much hope that each reader will realize by reading the real men truly do it better.

This is a great collaboration of novellas by a great set of authors. All of the stories are based around personal devices starting a fire in these women’s homes. Leading almost all of them into embarrassing situations. For some of these authors I was familiar with their works and have been reading their series. For others, this was a great introduction that has given me a jump start in new series.

This was a fun quick read. It was great travel set because the stories were quick and easy read, these made great traveling companions for me.

What a Fantastic read !! Some authors that I'm hooked already on and now I've found ones that I have to get caught up on. That's the great thing about anthologies, you can afford them and sometimes you find new authors along he way. This was a great bunch of stories all based ladies "BOB" and of course "how Real Men can do it better". Humm guess you'll have to grab a copy to see who was right that:). I was lucky enough to to have been given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Evelyn Adams. House on Fire. Very Good
Jake and Gen’s families used to go on vacations together when they were younger. Jake always made fun of Gen because she had her nose in a book all the time. Jake was a couple of years older and the cool guy. Little did she know he had a slight case of dyslexia and had a hard time in school. Which was some of the reason he made fun of her. Fast forward to adults and Jake goes to his friends house to house sit and crawls in bed and finds Gen. Gen screams and asks what he is doing there. He tells her he is house sitting and wants to know what she is doing. She tells him her apartment burnt down and Bailey said she could stay there.

Jake can’t believe how much Gen has changed. She is very attractive and he is attracted to her. Gen thinks Jake is a player and will just make fun of her like he used to. Read the book to see how their relationship changes and grows. It is a sweet novella. I love Evelyn Adam’s books, especially the Southerland series. You can’t go wrong with one of her books.

Mallory Crowe. Spark of Desire. Very Good
Amanda is an attorney who is working all the time and a little uptight. Casey, her younger sister, is outgoing and carefree. Casey's husband works making sex toys. Casey is over at Amanda's one Saturday and brought one of the new vibrators. Casey finds out Amanda doesn't have one and wants her to try it out and give her husband notes on it. Amanda is embarrassed and told Casey she had enough notes to make on all her case briefs. Casey tells her it only takes 5 minutes to please herself with the new vibrator. Casey leaves it and Amanda goes back to her work. Amanda can't keep her mind off the vibrator o she decides to try it out. Just as she is starting to use it her boss calls. Amanda can't get the vibrator off, so she puts it down. As she is talking to her boss, she smells and sees smoke. She runs outside and calls 911.

The firemen come and put out the fire. Bryce see the vibrator and kicks it under a pile so no one else will see it until the insurance adjuster comes. Bryce decides he wants to meet this woman. You need to read the book to see what happens. It is a short, cute romance.

Julie Farrell. The Billionaire's Flame Good
Samira and her husband Ivan leased a building in lower Manhattan to put in a Iranian bakery. Samira was at the old building waiting for Ivan to get there. She had bought a vibrator and plugged it in to charge so they could use it later. Ivan came into the building, locked the door, and told his wife they needed to christian the place. After they had some hot sex, Ivan smelled something burning. The vibrator had caught on fire and they couldn’t get the fire out. They ran outside and called the fire department. Jimmy was one of the firefighters and after the fire he went to his cousin Antonio who ruled lower Manhattan and told him the couple was opening an Italian restaurant. Antonio was mad so the next day he went to the building and Samira was there alone with her son. Antonio told her he was the landlord and she was not going to open the restaurant. When Ivan came home that evening Samira told him what had happened. Ivan was furious and said no one was going to threaten his wife and child. He was going to go have a talk with Antonio. You need to read the book to see what happens.

If you like a lot of sex and verbalization then you will like this book. it is a short book and was OK.

T.J. Loveless Good Vibrations Very Good
This is my favorite book out of the set! I laughed quite a bit in the book.
Dr. Catalina Rivera had a few mishaps with some vibrators. Then when she was driving to a store to buy another vibrator she passed a good looking silver fox military man. When Catalina came out of the store with her vibrator that was not packaged up, she ran right into him vibrator and all. A few days later she was driving and was hit behind by a semi. The doctor she had assigned to her was Colonel Malcolm DuBois, the silver fox man. He remembered her and wanted to take good care of her. She was funny when they gave her medicine for the pain. She was calling him Dr. Silver Haired Fox. All the nurses thought it was funny and started calling him the same. He had to operate on Catalina and spent the first night at the hospital checking on her every couple of hours. They talked a lot and her loved how smart she was.

Malcolm couldn’t date her until she was no longer his patient. They would have coffee a couple of times a week as friends. You need to read the book to see what happens and all the innocent funny things that happen. I liked how Catalina was not embarrassed about her clumsiness, and felt good about herself. It was nice seeing a man like a woman that was not only beautiful, but smart. T. J. Loveless did a great job with the book.

Lori Sjoberg Burning Down the House Good
This is a very short book. Megan has moved back to Florida where she grew up. She is renting an apartment and ran out to the store. When she comes back, her apartment is on fire. She calls the fire department who come to put the fire out. She is asking what caused the fire when a fireman comes out and says I found what caused the fire. When she sees the fireman, it is Bruce Cobretti her college sweetheart who has a burned vibrator in his hand. Boy is she embarrassed. She has no where to go, so Bruce tells her she can come and stay with him.

Read the book to see what happened in their past, why they broke up, and can there be a future for them.

Alexandra Waters Belong to Me Very Good
This book is the beginning to a new series. There is no HEA, but I can’t wait to read the next book!
Rutherford is squatting in a house next door to Jessica. Rutherford used to be in a gang, but gave up names, etc.to the police a while back and has been on the run. He knows he is bad for Jessica, but he can’t resist her. They have a sex filled night and both are falling in love. They agree to meet up, but on the way to meet Jessica, Rutherford’s past catches up to him. You will need to read the book to see what happens so you will be ready for the first novel in the series.

All stories involve women relying upon their BOB and men who are willing to prove Real Men Do It Better.

-House on Fire by Evelyn Adams
When an unexpected house fire throws farm manager Jake Monroe into romance writer Genevieve Andrews's bed, will she kick him out before the smoke clears or can he convince her that real men do it better.
Quick read. Jake and Genevieve knew each other as kids. Jake is a playboy and seriously rethinking his life choices.

- Spark of Desire by Mallory Crowe
Buttoned up lawyer Amanda Wesson has forgone any personal pleasure in her life for her career. When a slight (okay, major) mishap with a vibrator brings hunky fireman Bryce knocking on (okay, pounding down) her door, she starts to wonder if she can have it all.
Bryce is looking for commitment and Amanda is committed to her job. Bryce has her questioning why she stays in a job she hates.

-The Billionaire's Flame by Julie Farrell
When Samira Quinlan is threatened by her new landlord Antonio Romano, Ivan Quinlan rushes to defend his wife and child against the entire powerful Romano family, with terrifying consequences. Can their love continue burning despite the pressure - and will their flames of passion pull them through?
A story of a husband and wife trying to find their way in a new town. Steamy read.

-Good Vibrations by T.J. Loveless
Mix equal parts brilliant, but klutzy, biologist Dr. Catalina Rivera with sexy, alpha, military doctor Colonel Malcolm DuBois, and the solution is sparks flying in a romantic comedy of errors.
Catalina finds Malcolm attractive but his military status turns her off. Their second meeting is under less than ideal circumstances but they both want a chance to find out if something real is between them.

-Burning Down the House by Lori Sjoberg
Firefighter Bruce Cobretti has never gotten over Megan Woodward, the woman he loved and lost. Now seven years later, a not-so-routine house fire brings them together and reignites their passion. Can he convince her that they're meant to be together, or will his plans go up in flames?

As per usual, these ladies wrote some amazing stories and I absolutely loved them! This is a collection of six fun, steamy, short stories that everyone will love.

Evelyn Adams returned to the world of the Southerlands to give us Jake's happily ever after in House on Fire. As with all of the Southerland stories, Evelyn created a wonderful world to sink into. If you have read the rest of the series, you know the background and you will love it. If not, that's okay too, it is still an enjoyable story.

Mallory Crowe told the story of Amanda and Bryce as they figure out what they want out of life. This was not my favorite story just because Bryce was a little bit judgmental at some points, though he did have justification. It was just a little it harsh and abrupt at a couple of points. Despite that, I still enjoyed it and Mallory did a wonderful job creating this story.

Julie Farrell revisited Samira and Ivan Quinlan as they start a new business. They run into some trouble but their love gets them through. Again, if you have read the series, this story will be enhanced. If not, the background is sufficiently explained and the story is definitely worth reading.

Tj Loveless is an author that I have never read before but I loved her story about Catalina and Malcom. There were one or two abrupt shifts that could have been smoothed with some editing but other than that I really enjoyed this story. It has a different energy than the previous stories in the collection and was a good read.

Lori Sjoberg featured Megan and Bruce, ex-lovers who have spent years apart. As soon as they get back together, the sparks fly and they realize they are still in love. I really loved this story; it just felt real and it was very sweet.

Alexandra Waters provided readers with the prologue to her Westwood Series. I have not read that series and I feel like I missed a lot just because I didn't see the way everything connected together. However, it was still an enjoyable read and now I am looking forward to reading the Westwood series.

The only thing I would point out about this collection is the similarity of the stories. More than half of the collection had the same basic plot structure. Each story was unique and enjoyable but having read them one after another, by the end, I was a little bit tired of the story. That would be my only note: make sure to read books in between each story.

Real Men Do It Better

A collection of 6 short stories that prove that real men do it better, especially when your favourite friend has combusted and sent your life up in flames. All stories are enjoyable, and well worth a read. If you enjoy these then check out the other stories by these authors, especially my favourite series 'The Southerland Series'. (ARC of book for honest review)

House on fire

Was lovely to get to meet Jake again (we first met him in loving Bailey). This story made me laugh and literally spit my tea. I love how Evelyn can bring characters to life in a short time, and make you feel as though you know them. I'm glad jake got his happy ending, and am looking forward to the next spin off from the Southerland's, as I enjoy being able to catch up on their lives occasionally....

Spark of Desire

Short stories are great, but I always want more... If I was a few years younger, single and free I think I'd invest in a new toy, as long as the firman comes in the form of Bryce. The story was good, and if the book was longer I believe the story and characters would have so much potential... Overall an enjoyable read.

The Billionaires flame

An enjoyable read, however I now need to go back and read the story of how Ivan and Samira met. Who knew that vibrators could be so dangerous, and cause so much damage. I'm glad it all worked out in the end...

Good Vibrations

Ouch, these women aren't having much luck with their little toys, but the bad luck always leads to new things. Dr Silver Fox is just what the doctor ordered, caring, compassionate and sexy as hell (ask the cat). An enjoyable read, with likeable, down to earth characters...

Burning down the house

I have really come to love Lori's stories over the last month or so, and this was no exception. Hot, heavy and that was just the way she had me visualising our fireman. A good read, and although a happy ending of sorts, I can just imagine the long road and adventures these characters could encounter in the future...

Belong to Me

A bad boy trying to escape his past. A good girl looking for something that her smouldering BOB is no longer equip to do. But the past catches up with us in the end. A good read, with a full series of events to look forward to.

This is definitely a different set of reads. The theme, you ask… Battery operated boyfriends, of course. Even though there is that similarity, each story is unique and brings fun to the table. I must say I do love the whole toy malfunction with the “REAL MEN” saving the day.

House on Fire by Evelyn Adams is a fun read. I loved how this couple comes together. Oh yeah, and you have got to the love the cause of the fire.

Spark of Desire by Mallory Crowe is a quick and sweet read. Humor and determination to prove that real men do it better makes for a good read.

The Billionaire’s Flame by Julie Farrell wasn’t as smooth of a read as I had hoped. I feel like I would have gotten more out of the story had I read others in the authors series.

Good Vibrations by T.J. Loveless is a great read with humor and heart. T.J. is easily one of my favorite authors, so it’s no surprise that I loved this one too.

Burning Down the House by Lori Sjoberg has spark. A story that proves that even after seven years have passed there is still sizzle.

Belong to Me by Alexandra Waters had me feeling like I missed a few details even though some back info is given. It does leave you with a cliffhanger. I’m interested to see where this upcoming series goes.
Each author brought a decent read to the table, and I would recommend this collection to anyone who loves romance and a laugh. I do suggest reading a little something in between since this collection does have that similarity among story. I may have enjoyed a few over others, but it’s definitely worth snagging.

I think Real Men Do It Better is a great idea of 6 different authors , together they bring us a collection of 6 fantastic erotic stories about women ,all linked to a defective vibrator.
I usually like my stories a little longer but I really enjoyed these books , it was well worth the read ,a little short but all of them well written , each of them spicy and very interesting. They hold my interest the whole time and proved that at the end real men defenitly do it better !!!
Ofcourse my favorite is "Spark of Desire" from Mallory Crowe . She has such a special way of making her characters so believable with always this little spark of humour that I love so much in her writing.
Thanks to "Real Men Do It Better" , I discovered some other new authors which I will be following in the future . For me this is a great Valentine 's read !!!!

Review of Real Men Do It Better by Evelyn Adams, Mallory Crowe, Julie Farrell, T.J. Loveless, Lori Sjoberg, and Alexandra Waters

Review done for Hooked on Books & CherryOBlossoms Promotions

4 out of 5 stars

I usually don’t read bundles, as the ones I have are mostly first parts of series that you need to buy to finish off the stories. I also found that most bundles had some good books and some not so good ones.

I was pleasantly surprised with all the stories in this bundle. I enjoyed them all. They were short but were sexy, steamy reads.

All the stories were based on a vibrator experience that went wrong. The sexy male characters were there to show the women that “Real Men Do It Better”.

I enjoyed all the characters in the books. The stories were hot, funny, and very realistic.

I hadn’t read any books by any of these authors but I will definitely be checking out their other books.

I recommend this box set to read.

I loved that all the stories were linked by a burning vibrator – or BOB as referred to in some of the stories!
In House of Fire we don’t actually find out how Genevieve’s BOB ended up on fire which was a bit of a disappointment. Most of the stories are very good, a couple of them have typos which don’t detract too much from the stories.
I didn’t realize that Belong to Me wasn’t a complete story and when I looked on Amazon UK Alexander Waters’ name doesn’t appear – I will be keeping an eye out for her next book.
Well done to all the authors for an interesting collection of short stories – some much shorter than others!

I received a ARC copy for an honest review. An excellent read. The author of each story are great writers on their own and have been paired well for a book such as this. Each story is well written and makes you feel like you know the characters in the stories, there is sex, drama, and laughter. Some of the authors I have never read their books before but will be seeking their books out now to read some more. I would recommend this book to anybody.

What a concept...heroine finds hero after her BOB catches fire! All of these stories are unique, all steamy, some laugh out loud funny, 3 are better than the others, in my opinion. All but one (Belong to Me) are stand-alone reads with no cliffhangers. You can't beat the price for the set, especially with this great group of authors. Go ahead, grab this set now.

The boxed set of short stories each start with a defective battery operated boyfriend (BOB) vibrator starting a fire. Then somewhere in the story is the phrase "Real Men Do it Better".

I think I am in the minority of 1 that did not care for the stories.

This is a book of short stories I think my favorite was House on Fire by Evelyn Adams this is about Genevieve Andrews a romance writer and the trouble she gets into with a gift from her sister, and Jake Monroe a farm manager, if you want a book that will bring happiness to your day I would recommend this one as you will be laughing in some spots.

This is a collection of six short stories where somewhere in the text, the guy says ‘real men do it better’. In some instances it’s pretty corny, but in other the author has woven the words in so that they flow with the story.

Quick easy reads with HEA on all fronts. If you want or need a short enjoyable read, this will work for you. Each has a theme of a BOB that goes bad as well!

B.O.B. can be detrimental

This booklet of Real Men Do It Better was a terrific read. Each book included in the gift set was entertaining and enjoyable. I have decided to not trust a B.O.B. after reading of the troubles they caused the women in the books.
