En trinidadianer beskriver livet som emigrant til London. Perspektivet er fra mænd, som hustler sig igennem tilværelsen. De er kun ude på at få kusse - helst hvid - og have sjov. Trinidadianere, som forsøger at få familie og den slags, beskrives kun helt perifært. Længlen hjem, racisme, deres uforskammede hustlerier fylder det meste. Det er en sjov og udleverende beskrivelse. Det sjove angår især formen, som er triniadiansk-engelsk, altså elendigt, men charmerende engelsk.

Aside from a few pages without full stops , this was a quick and enjoyable read.

Inspiring

A must read for anyone who wants a great understanding of the Windrush generation. A very insightful read. Looking forward to the sequel, Moses Ascending.
