Come and join us for a trip down the water slide! On the way, you’ll see a dragon protecting a castle and a penguin waddling across an iceberg. Listen and you’ll hear the crazy rain cheering for the screaming wind, along with the fierce crackling of a bonfire as we roast gooey marshmallows for s’mores. Feel the scorching sand underfoot as you stroll across a tropical island in the sun and brush your fingers over tiny soft kitties in a basket. Inhale the savory aroma of onion bread in a Taiwan night market and the thick, rustic smell of a chicken coop. Your mouth will water at the taste of sweet and sour lemon pies and freshly-baked cookies from Grandma. So enjoy your trip down the water slide – but beware of monstrous bears, infamous wizards, and killer video game tanks. And whatever you do, watch out for that bull in the China shop!

Annie Douglass Lima considers herself fortunate to have traveled in twenty different countries and lived in four of them. A fifth-grade teacher in her “other” life, she loves reading to her students and sparking their imaginations. Her books include science fiction, fantasy, YA action and adventure novels, a puppet script, poetry, a Bible verse coloring and activity book, and a cookbook. When she isn’t teaching or writing, Annie can often be found sipping spiced chai or pomegranate green tea in exotic locations, some of which exist in this world.
Creative collection of poetry benefiting moms and their babies
This anthology of poetry by a class of fifth graders in Taiwan was well written and very enjoyable to read. I also like that proceeds from the sale of the book benefit women and babies in need through the Taichung Pregnancy Support Center. Win-win situation for everyone so go get your copy.
What beautiful poetry this is! Mostly from young kids too!
I thought these kids did a wonderful job writing this poetry ebook! Great job in illustrating your writing in so many ways. Therefore I wish to recommend this ebook for five stars and especially for kids ages 5-18. I received this ebook for free by using KU, and now in return, is my honest review. Great work Annie and kids! By Angela
