Can true love really be this sweet?

Getting the West Coast location of his family's celebrated patisserie off the ground is a full-time job for Chase Drayson. The driven corporate accountant doesn't have time for pleasure. Until the bakery's beautiful barista places a steaming latte in front of him. Avant-garde jewelry maker Amber Bernard is the wrong choice for anything long-term. So why is Chase fantasizing about forever with his eclectic employee?

There's more to life than the bottom line. But the seriously sexy number cruncher is her boss, and Amber isn't ready to risk her professional future. Or be tied down. She's committed to her art, not romantic dreams…even if the passion sizzling between them makes her believe they're not as different as they think. Could an incredible leap of faith lead to a lifelong love?

It was a cute story, with all the right ingredients. A bit of conflict, not angst, loving family and just enough sexy times. Chase and Amber are a great couple. Chase the numbers guy, successful; Amber the student, jewellery maker with a huge student loan to pay. However, as different as they are, the attraction is there and once they get over a few misunderstandings is all good and we get our happy ever after.
A few typos though, like "He hands grabbed.." My English may not be as good as a native speaker but I'm pretty sure it should have been "His hands grabbed..." There are like four or five like these. I enjoyed it and Ms Pope's Drayson family is one I want to get to know so shall read the rest of the books.

I enjoyed Chase and Amber's love story! Even though Chase is the serious/numbers man whose known to attract only "gold diggers" for mates, he met his match when he met Amber who was dealing with her own issues after having Steven for an ex. When these two get together, they both have to weigh the pros and cons of what it really means to be in love! This was an awesome read for me because LOVE conquers all!!!

Slow Burn Romance

It is hard to trust love again when the one person to whom you gave your heart turned out to be completely undeserving.

Chase and Amber learned that love is patient, kind, and worth fighting for in this slow burn romance.

Similarities

This couple were so much alike that they could not see it in the beginning but with time they learned to love each other and give a little. This is a great book.

The Draysons are back and true love really is sweet.

When reviewing Cappuccino Kisses, I predicted that Chase and Amber would be the next love match in the Drayson series and I was right. Love and a Latte is a story about how opposites really do attract.

Chase is the money man at Lillian’s in Seattle. His main focus is the bottom line and making sure their bakery is in the black. Amber is a free spirit barista who is working hard to achieve her dream of a successful jewelry business. There is a strong attraction between the two but neither are looking for a relationship. Amber’s last relationship left her weary and a bit broken. As a result, her sole focus is the betterment of her career. Chase has never been one for long term relationships and has strict criteria for the women he dates. Amber doesn’t meet any of those requirements, which is not a bad thing.

Love knows no bounds and what you least expect is what tends to feel the most right for you. This is the case with Amber and Chase and they soon fall in love. Of course, they had many obstacles to overcome including an initially disapproving mother, Amber’s hesitation and the obvious difference in wealth.

I’m glad Chase got his story before Jackson. While Chase wasn’t necessarily charismatic in Cappuccino Kisses, there was something about him that made me want to know more. While he was a math whiz, it isn’t his passion. He seemed to be a little stuck up to most but he was really an adventurous soul who just needed someone to loosen up with.

You need love and a tasty latte in your life, do so by reading this book by Jamie Pope. A nice breezy novel, Love and a Latte is a solid addition to the Drayson saga.

This was my Sunday afternoon read and I must say, I enjoyed it! I always enjoy reading about food, but the bakery in this story is a character unto itself. A great writer is one who makes you want to seek out a place exactly like that place in their book.

The love story between Amber and Chase is sweet--like they cupcakes Amber serves. The relationship moves quickly for my liking, but I have come to expect the hyperspeed love affair from Kimani novels. Still it wasn't *terribly* unbelievable, given the depth of their relationship. I liked the entire Drayson family, frankly-- I thought we were going to have issues with mom, but she did the right thing.

Lately, I pick and choose my romances (there are so many to pick from that I'll get buried under them if they're ALL I read) and I'm glad I picked this one. The pacing is great, as is the writing and the story hits the usual notes with a satisfying end.

Opposites Do Attract!

This is my first time reading a Jamie Pope novel but, It will not be my last. Love and a Latte is a hot addition to the Drayson:Sprinkled with Love series.Once I begin reading Love and Latte I couldn't put it down. The storyline was well written and I enjoyed Amber’s and Chase’s interaction with the secondary characters in the story. The chemistry between Chase and Amber was like two magnets pulling together. Proving that opposites attract.
I look forward to reading the next story in the Drayson:Sprinkled with Love series and also the next Jamie Pope novel.

After reading Mariah's story I couldn't wait to read about her brothers, especially Chase. He is the numbers man, the business side of Lillian's Seattle. Amber, his sisters friend, was the total opposite of the type of woman he dealt with. It was great to see him loosen up and her get over her issues from her last romance. I must say that while I enjoyed this story, understanding this is a series in which each installment is written by a different author; I didn't enjoy the writing of this installment as much as others.

I would give this 3.5 stars

Love the story

Once again the ending was lacking, it just ended!

I truly love Jamie's writing style, her endings are just not complete, would love to see her include an Epilogue at least!

Will read her next book, but it might be my last, I don't mind thinking about what happen next, but the way she ends her books, there is a lot to think about, I would just like to have her give me her closure on the story. (remember just my point of view)

Chase is so driven that he doesn't take time to enjoy life. Amber is working on her MBA, working as a barista and designing jewelry - a very busy lady who takes time to enjoy life. She's just the breath of fresh air Chase needs in his life.
These two compliment each other so well. They really do have a lot in common even though they're opposites.

Opposites Attract...or What Appear to Be Opposites

Chase and Amber seems to be totally different people. Amber's more bohemian, a jewelry designer in grad school to take her business to the next level. Chase is a staid accounting and finance whiz, from a wealthy family. However, sparks fly and the rest is history.

I enjoyed the west coast Draysons as much as I did the Midwest clan. Watching no nonsense Chase fall for a dreamer like Amber was a treat! Although this is my first read by Jamie Pope it definitely will not be my last! I recommend not only this story but the entire Draysons series! The Midwest & west coast clans
