In the wake of Camp Freedom being overrun, Jane, Silas, and Ryan set out for Abby's cabin in the woods of Illinois. They don't know what happened to the rest of their group, but Jane can't continue to function unless she finds out. Life on the road only gets harder as the undead claim more and more of what's left of humanity. The roads are barely passable with wrecked cars, and carnage. Worst of all, the threats aren't just what's trying to eat them anymore. It's a lot for anyone to take on, especially a sixteen year old, but Jane is determined to find out what’s happened to her friends– or die trying.
This one was better than the previous, Jane still kind of got on my nerves but not as much, she’s stepping up and kind of holding her own. The boys carried this book, such polar opposites, one’s soft the other’s hard, which is who I’m kind of rooting for. I’m hoping he comes out of this series unscathed or else I’ll be stalking the author 🤦♀️lol
This even threw in a few unique scenes, not only do they have to worry about other humans, the zombies but now they have to contend with feral dogs too.
I just can’t get enough zombies, bloody the end of us series is to blame for this obsession!!
Ryan, Silas, and Jane are realizing that there is more to fear than a zombie bite. The living can be just as bad. They set off to find the cabin, and hopefully their friends. All that they encounter along the way will nearly tear them apart. Will they make it to their destination? Or will they fall victim to the dead?
So much happens in this one as Jane searches for her friends; the only family she has left. My heart was in my throat through much of the book. Such intensity. And even though our girl Jane started off green to all things zombie, she is quickly becoming a fierce woman. Over the last couple weeks since the apocalypse started she has had to grow up fast. And her heart is evolving as well. I love the direction the author is taking her with her feelings.
Two books in and totally captivated, I cannot wait to start the next book. Just have to get through a couple reads for reviews and book 3 is all mine!! 5 Stars!!
It is awesome to have family in the zombie apocalypse. This episode is all about Jane and her finding her way through everything. I like how she is coping and the dynamics are changing. I wonder how Silas and Ryan are going to change? Overall this was a very eye opening experience.
I loved book one then I saw there was a 2 I was just as excited the characters are very well defined so it pulls you in you can relate to the situations the suspense is great you can not predict what happens Cant wait to see what happens next
A fun, exciting, scary tale of survival, learning and compassion in the World Zombie Apocalypse! Cannot wait for volume 3! I am an old fart but I can highly recommend this series, well written and a good way to spend some quiet time!
Don't know whether this is a YA novel but I am really enjoying it. Jane is a 16 year old cheerleader. Her parents are in New York on business. She has no idea anything is wrong. Awakened the next morning by her friend Abby she finds that the world has imploded with a virus causing people to turn rabid. Abby loses her parents so Jane, Megan, (the neighbor across the yard) all jump into Abby's mothers car and try desperately to to reach the cabin in the mountain. Along their way they meet several people who are essentially part of their travel. What or who will they find if they actually make it too their cabin? I'm so looking forward to the next book...😁 :
I called it! By the end of the first book I was sure there was going to be some sort of a love triangle and I guess it is sorta happening, although I must say that it's nowhere near as annoying as most are.
Our Mc is actually quite mature and, despite starting out without a lot of skills he learns fast and is plenty smart. I like how the author made her character pretty mature but still manages to make her feel like a teenager.
She doesn't like all the violence but gets done what needs to be done and I really liked that.
The characters are decently developed, the relationships between the characters mediocre, and much of the story is tense and predictable. It is entertaining and mostly well edited. It’s a typical runnin’ and gunnin’ apocalypse story and lacks unique twists and creativity ideas.
The story continues. New characters enter the picture, some bad most good. The story is coming into maturity and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next.
What could get more hectic than a bunch of teenagers in the center of a zombie apocalypse? That's right, nothing. I love the pace of Megan's writing. Not only is it fast and action-packed, but thrilling and riveting. You pick this book up and you're immediately sucked into the world she creates.
One of the most important elements to a story is character building and Megan has managed to build her characters and show them off flawlessly. Each one is unique and interesting.
Loved the story. Loved the characters. Loved the writing. I can't wait for book 3. Highly recommend.
Book two was even better than the first book. Follow Jane, Ryan and Silas on their journey to reach the cabin. Jane is determined to reach the cabin where her best friend Abby should be. Along the way the trio rescue six year old Sunny, run into human eating dogs, a crazy group and a pregnant woman. And of course the never ending zombies. And what will happen when Jane starts having feelings for both Ryan and Silas??
Thought this may be sly with a head cheerleader....but I was pleasantly surprised a d have stArted on book two already! Great story and I've actually leArned a few things that may help.....should a zombie apocalypse happen in the future.
Great storyline and the character terms are actually believable. Hope book two is just as page turning. Great author to add to my favorites.
Wow, this was a gripping tale. I read it in two and half hours. It pulled me in and would NOT let me go. It definitely action and excitement driven but somehow has time for realistic characters with real problems. The author gives you vignettes or moments of mind pictures that gave me the hibbie gibbies. Over all a great read for me to kick in the new year.
3.5 stars - I loved book 1 and I actually really love book 2 too. The reason for the lower rating is the triangle! You know the love triangle which is super annoying! I don't know if I want to read the next book because if it's gonna be her waffling again it's gonna suck!
I found this book to have a more interesting plot line and to be unique in this type of story. I had a tough time putting it down whenever I would start reading it. I'm excited to read the next one.
I love the end of the book because, it was a big suprise to me. It had me at tears haha! I mean if that were me in the book I know I would be in tears. I really enjoyed the book looking forward to the third book!
Omg I have waited ages for book two to come out and it didn't disappoint had me laughing and crying cant wait for summer so I can get stuck in to book 3!!
