For as long as he could remember, Sebastian had been cursed.
It began with the tragic death of his parents when he inherited the modern art gallery. It continued every day when he looked in the mirror and saw a monster where a man should be. He’d tried everything without success. Then he happened upon her, his cure, the one who could give him a second chance at life, love and happiness.
After years of repairing what her father destroyed during his drunken rampages, opening a shop for repurposed and redesigned furniture seemed a natural progression for Marisa. When Sebastian hired her, she finally had a chance to get paid to do what she’d done for years for free. It seemed like a win, until he proposed.
The moment they met, Sebastian was drawn to her. Of course, losing everything in thirty days if he didn’t marry was a huge incentive. So he asked and she refused. An experienced negotiator, he never gave up when he had his heart set on something. For Marisa, marriage wasn’t on the table and love wasn’t negotiable. Still, always quick to see the best in others, she looked at him and saw a project, her ultimate redesign. Maybe even Sebastian deserved a second chance.

**Even though this is book 2 in the series, the books can be read as standalones. All have HEAs and no Cliffhanger.
This is the second book in the Dreams Come True series. It is a stand alone book as was the first book. I must say that I enjoyed the second book so much more. We met Sebastian in the first book and he was a complete jerk. After reading the second book we know why he was a jerk, and I am pretty sure that you will fall head over heals in love with this beautiful man. The plot of this story is that Sebastian is approaching his 25th birthday. According to the will of his deceased parents, he must marry by his 25th birthday or lose everything but a substantial inheritance to an uncle that has been estranged from the family since forever. The estranged uncle showed up around the time of Sebastian’s parents plane crash when Sebastian was just 14 years old. Growing up with his verbally abusive uncle, Sebastian has grown up with total self loathing. He sees himself as the monster that his uncle often called him. Once Marisa enters his life he sees himself as someone that may be able to love. Now he has to convince Marisa to marry him. Not for the money, but because she feels so right. The chemistry is filled with sparks and a fun quick banter. The pacing is pretty quick. There is much going on including an attempt on Marisa’s life. Love the ending. Now I want to read the next book. The character development showed us what made both Marisa and Sebastian the people that they are, and how they bring out the best in each other.
