Bestselling author Alexis St. John needs an escape, and Nate, her personal assistant, thinks that a trip to a real castle in England will be just the thing. What neither of them planned on, though, was to encounter an actual ghost.

Lady Catherine Dunlow hates the idea of sharing her castle with tourists and does everything she can to chase them out, much to the amusement of her roguish suitor. But when her two newest guests stumble upon a mystery surrounding her death, she decides to let them stay.

With an eternal fate in the balance, Nate and Alexis must move quickly to bring the killer to light before Catherine is trapped forever.

This novella was originally published in the Sweet and Sassy Castle Collection.

A great story

Rating:  4.5 stars

My thoughts about this book:

• The author does an amazing job of capturing the reader's interest and holding it until the very end.

• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.

• The pacing of the story was neither too slow nor too fast.

• The plot was not predictable.

• There was a smooth, coherent flow to this book.

• This novel was a clean read.

• There was one continuity problem. The ghost was called Catherine in the first chapters and then it was Caroline until the end.

I recommend this book to those who would like something different and unique in the romance genre. I did.

4.5 stars. I read this short novella all in a day, which to me is a sign of a great book. This isn’t something thought provoking, but it is greatly entertaining and I enjoyed getting lost in the world. The author captured my attention quickly and the story was fun. I enjoyed the storyline of the main character, who is an author, as well as the ghost’s story. I wished for more- a more in-depth look into the past, etc. I wished this was a full length novel because I enjoyed the storyline so much.

Wonderful story!

This book is different than other stories by this author. I admit I bought it simply because it had her name on the cover. I have thoroughly enjoyed both contemporary and historical romances this lady has written and this book did not disappoint me. It's a nice little story with more than one romance!

Different and I really liked it

This was something completely different and I really liked it. Mystery, romance and sweet. Great characters, I wish there were more like this one. It was shorter than i would have liked but very well written.

Loved this entertaining story!

Nate- works for the author (h)
Alexis - an author
Catherine/Caroline Dunlow and sir Ian- both ghost.
I enjoyed reading this captivating short story/novella that is well written with charismatic characters and an intriguing plot/story . Their story has a loving HEA.

The one thing that kinda bothered me ( not enough to reduce a star but enough to mention) is that the female ghost name was Catherine for about 4 to 5 chapters then changed to Caroline till the end. This story is good as is but has potential to become so much more!!

Catherine/Caroline

I was thoroughly enjoying the book until Catherine's name changed to Caroline? So glad both couples (?) worked things out.
