The Rock and Roll Fantasy gang find themselves in a special Contemporary Romance from USA Today Bestselling Author Diane Rinella.

For Jacqueline, a second date is as rare as a unicorn. She's beautiful. She's intelligent. So why is she experiencing a string of first dates that leaves her ducking behind bushes and running for buses? Contrary to her nature, trading in her heels and curling iron for an easy chair surrounded by cats sounds appealing. Is she cursed, or can she find the man who will steal her heart?

Queen Midas In Reverse is a standalone novella in The Rock and Roll Fantasy Collection, a mystical world where rock and roll will save your soul. Although the books can be read in any order, the collection begins with It's A Marshmallow World before moving on to Scary Modsters ... and Creepy Freaks, Queen Midas In Reverse, Voices Carry, and Moonlight Serenade.

Enjoying San Francisco as a backdrop, the ghosts in USA Today Bestselling Author Diane Rinella’s 150-year old Victorian home augment the chorus in her head. With insomnia as their catalyst, these voices have become multifarious characters that haunt her well into the sun’s crowning hours, refusing to let go until they have manipulated her into succumbing to their whims. Her experiences as an actress, business owner, artisan cake designer, software project manager, Internet radio disc jockey, vintage rock n’ roll journalist/fan girl, and lover of dark and quirky personalities influence her idiosyncratic writing.

After watching her best friends find their "Mr. Right", and wondering why she continues to have the dates from hell, Jacqueline decides to try a dating service. When said "dating service" fails even worse to provide her with more than horrendous first dates, she thinks there's something wrong with her. Will she ever find her "Mr. Not Perfect but Perfect for her"?

I really liked this novella that provided us with a closer view into Jacqueline's life and search for the love of her life. It was a cute romantic comedy in novella length with a splash of "Murphy's Law". You should definitely read the series in order to understand the interactions of the characters and their quirks better.

This was such a fun and quick read! Rinella's introduction explains that this is a stand-alone novella with the same characters from another novel of her's, SCARY MODSTERS, which I will now need to read since I have just now met them all and need to learn all their stories, not just Jacqueline's. What made QUEEN MIDAS IN REVERSE such a delight to read is that even though these characters have all interacted with one another before in a previous novel, and therefore most of Rinella's audience will already know the backstory for them all, this novella has the perfect balance between giving the reader enough background information without bogging down the narration -- making the storyline flow at a smooth pace.

Anyone who knows the perils of being single and dating -- or loves someone is navigating the relentless world of endless first dates -- will be able to identify in some capacity with Jacqueline. It doesn't matter if you are male or female and who you seek to love, there is a bit of Jaqueline in all of us. Hopefully we have good friends around like she does.

Jacqueline FINALLY gets her story! If you've read any of Diane Rinella's Rock and Roll Fantasy novellas, then you'll know exactly what I mean. You read one, are introduced to all the characters...baited with just enough info about them, but at the end wonder "What ever happened to....?" when BAM - Rinella pops out another book about the character you were asking about. This quirky, wonderful group of friends have friendships and ties we could only wish for. In Queen Midas, poor Jacqueline has gone to extremes in her attempts to find the perfect guy, only to be let down and before giving up, resorts to *GASP* a dating service. This quintessential romance series will leave you wanting more and more is what Rinella delivers, staying true to her fashion.

Although I read this wonderful book months ago, I was a bad boy and forgot to leave a review. Sorry Ms. Rinella.

I must be an old softly, I was rooting for Jacqueline, a young lady I first met in a previous "Rock and Roll Fantasy" book. Jackie feels the pains of losing at her attempts at finding and keeping a relationship with a "Prince Charming" and fears she will have to settle for an old ogre.

Through this novella, you will laugh, and cry, as Jackie blunders through romance. As a last resort, she looks to a "dating service". What she finds is not what she was looking for but possibly the one thing she needs.

I hope Ms. Rinella finds a way to right many more books in this series!

Queen Midas in Reverse by Diane Rinella is a great book. If you follow the great Rock and Roll Fantasy books than you have met Jacqueline before. Jacqueline is looking for love in all the wrong places. She has seen all of her friends find the loves of their lives, yet she has bad date after bad date. All of her first dates end badly. This is her potential happy ending. I loved reading Queen Midas in Reverse and I loved Jacqueline more and more with each word of the book. This is a great book and a must read.
