Welcome to the third and the final installment in the story of a Norse god who fell in love with a Mortal girl
Eirik is relentless and unstoppable as he sets out to show Celestia how much she means to him. Not only has he fulfilled the promises he made his mother, his family is finally whole. Even his mother accepts Celestia as his chosen mate, yet something doesn’t feel right and he can’t quite put a finger on it. Still, he is determined to destroy every doubt Celestia ever had about them and prove that together, they are unstoppable.
But can he protect her from an enemy he can’t see?
Everything has changed for Celestia. She doesn’t fit in with the Witches at her school, but that’s okay because she never belonged to a coven to begin with. But things are different now that she is in love with Eirik, a god, and everyone wants to be close to her. But not all are what they claim to be. When someone close to them threatens Eirik’s life, there is no limit to what Celestia will do to protect him and their relationship.
They will realize that they are stronger together than apart as secrets are revealed, imposters are exposed, and real friends and family discovered.

Even the Norns could not weave all the plotlines in her Runes world as well as Ednah Walters does! In the conclusion to the Eirik Baldurson spin-off series, I giggled, swooned, was moved to tears, and could not be more happily astounded at the resolution to all the challenges in Eirik’s mission to find and unite his family. This book starts with Eirik, with the help of his spunky Witch from Midgard Celestia, having saved his sister from his Crazy Granny, but something is off about her. And the manipulation and twisted web of lies Angrboda built for years is still tangling around Eirik, Celestia and their family and friends. The mysteries are still rampant, and the dangers and emotional traumas abundant. Once again Walters has dragged my heart along in her twisted, surprising tales. There is a lot of character development, interaction and emotional growth in Gods that had me falling even harder for caring, protective Eirik and brave, righteous Celestia and their families (friends and relatives alike). Walters always writes in a descriptive and smooth way as she unfolds action and conflicts that keep me happily wrapped up in her craftily interwoven Ednahland. An enthralling wrap-up to this Runes companion trilogy!
GODS by Ednah Walters is book 3 in the Eirik Trilogy of the Runes series. The book follows the joint timelines of Souls and Witches. It is well written and very absorbing and I believe it is the best book of the 3 books in this series. We follow Eirik and Celestia in a Dual POV story. You can easily tell the 2 main characters apart as their voices are very different.
The story starts in Helheim just after book 2 Heroes ends. I won’t put any spoilers in this review. I must say this book held more suprises than Christmas morning. Some characters from the prior Runes novel thru Witches play major parts in this story. Also the ending is one of the most amazing things I have ever read.
The book contains Minor Swearing, Violence, Make Out level sexuality.
Ednah did it again. I was totally shocked with this one. I absolutely did not see it coming. That being said I think this was my favorite of the Eirik trilogy. I adore Celestia and Eirik. I'm sad this part of the story is over but excited to see what happens next in the world of the runes series. This is a must read.
This trilogy is an excellent companion to the Runes Series, also by author Ednah Walters.
I have completely fallen in love with Eirik and his girl Celestia. I am so impressed with the talent and imagination of author Ednah Walters. She builds this totally believable fantasy world that exists alongside the Mortal world. She also blends this book seamlessly with its Runes counterpart. That is why it is important to have read the Runes series, (through Witches), prior to reading Gods.
This book really adds additional layers to Eirik, Celestia, and Hel. They have always been exciting characters, but this book seals them in my heart. I was already in love with Eirik, but Celestia and Hel have become two of my favorite characters of the entire Runes world.
This book delivers a glimpse into the different types of families in the Immortal universe. Gods delivers some unexpected surprises, and they are most excellent. It is a great book.
I recommend the Runes Series, and the Eirik companion series, highly.
Awesome book! Once again Ednah Walters weaved an action-packed and intriguing tale that was impossible to put down. Gods is the third and last book in the companion series set in Norse mythology. It’s part of the Runes Universe and offers incredible insight into numerous scenes in the other books.
This series can be read without reading the rest of the Runes books, but the reader would be missing out on a truly awesome series. The entire series, including the companion books flow together extremely well and provide a detailed story that is completely interconnected.
Heroes has the same timeline as Witches. It’s cool to see things explained in Gods that I wondered about in Witches.
Gods wraps up the adventures of Eirik, a Norse God who is destined to rule the nine realms after Ragnarok. Eirik is the grandson of Odin, the ruler of the nine realms, and is the son of Baulder, God of Light and Hel, ruler of Helheim. After the events of Heroes, the second book in the companion series, Eirik is determined to put his family back together, fight for the love of his life, Celestia, and beat the interfering Norns who destroyed his family. He is also faced with protecting his friends and figure out a few mysteries.
Celestia, a witch from Louisiana, has sacrificed everything to help Eirik, and is now faced with a new set of challenges of her own. She must discover a whole new life with her gorgeous Norse God and figure out what is going on before it’s too late.
Eirik and Celestia have TONS of chemistry throughout the book that kept things interesting. It is awesome to see how they interact and banter. They are the perfect balance for each other.
Gods is full of adventure and suspense that draws the reader into the story to feel everything the characters are experiencing. The characters in this series are incredible and so very well developed. They each have very distinct and unique personalities that make you want to be friends with them.
I LOVE Hel. She is so awesome and I like how she has grown as a character and a mother. It was awesome to see her softer and playful side. I loved her relationship with Celestia.
This book was awesome from beginning to end and I HATE that the companion series is now over. I need more from these characters and I’m so sad that they will not have another book. I am looking forward to see them in the next Runes book. This book and series shouldn’t be missed.
BOOK HANGOVER ALERT! Honestly, I can't think of a better ending to Eirik's story than this! So many Amazing things happen in this book with various characters, not just from Eirik and Celestia's story, but from the entire Runes Series.
Eirik's 4 worlds basically collide in this book. His life in Helheim, his family in Asgard, his family and friends in Kayville and his life with Celestia and the result is beyond captivating. Celestia meeting everyone and interacting with different people that are important to Eirik seriously made me fangirl out!
Celestia's Witch powers evolving and her ever changing relationship with the people in her life, including her mother kept me on my toes and drew me into the story, leaving not a second of down time.
Eirik and Celestia's relationship growing and strengthening makes my heart happy. I love how they treat each other and how they express affection. They can seriously hold their own in the best Runes couples contest.
I am always dying to read the next Runes Novel, but I seriously need to know what happens next! Waiting for the next book is going to be torture. That twist! OMG! I need more!
Absolutely Breathtaking I'm completely and madly in love with Gods Ednah Walters outdid herself!!! Enchanting, wickedly clever sexy as Helheim and masterfully written I Double DARE U TO STOP READING! This book had me giggling swooning and dying for more.. I've never been this ridiculously happy throughout an entire story I devoured it nothing could tear me away!!! Eirik & Celestia are laugh out loud funny tender sassy N sweet with a fierce undying love I had a big goofy grin on my face whenever they interacted! The mutual respect and support they have for each other is beautiful! Totally loved every scene with Trudy & Andris really want to see more of them!!! hint hint ;) My fave Trudy qoute "But I want to meet Mr. Foxy Silver Hair" Trudy griped then smirked maybe give him a kiss"
I Can't wait to fall in love with all of Ednah's epic Runes stories to come! 5 Stars and Beyond!!!!
For weeks now I've been in a bad reading slump not even Harry, Ron and Hermione could help me and anyone who knows me knows I'm a HUGE Potterhead. This time though it was Eirik and Celestia who brought me out of my funk. Ednah Walters and her Runes characters to the rescue lol.
From start to finish I was consumed, these stories will do that to you. Like always Ednah had me on the edge of my seat a few times with added twists and turns you're not expecting, makes putting down the book for RL things so much more harder. It is sad that Eirik's story is now finished but I look forward to any more books Ednah releases in the Runes series, it ain't all over yet. Whoop!! ^_^
So if you're looking for an action packed, fun, love smitten story with characters you'll just treasure for life then I highly recommend picking up and reading this book. If you want to start all the way from the beginning then Runes is what you want.
Such an amazing trilogy!! This is part 3 in the companion series that ties into the Runes Series. The Companion Series is Eirik and Celestia's story and this is the final chapter.
Ednah Walters takes you through a roller coaster ride of emotions in this amazing book that you will not want to put down. She draws you in and you will fall in love with the characters as she lays out this world in detail.
The companion series can be read as a stand alone or with the Runes series but you might find that you will fall in love with both series.
Follow Eirik and Celestia as they continue along a path for the truth in a web of lies but through it all they expand on the love they have for each other as they strive to make the other stronger.
An absolute must read. I wish there was more to this story but I'll follow them in Runes
Quite the finish to Erik's story, the passion to learn the truth burned deep in his heart and the thoughts he fought to believe rang true just as his burning breath and flames kissed the air with the excitement of the love that will be his forever. finding your love, your lost sister, and making your family complete send us on the journey through the Hel and back again . A must read ,with all the surprises you won't want to miss hidden in it pages .I enjoyed the book love the series and find Ednah's world to be a place I need to visit often pick up your copy and enjoy.
Wow! Honestly all I can really say!! Eirik and Celestia have became my favorite rune couple!! Celestia doesn't let anyone bring her down not even her crazy psycho mother. Eirik man isn't he dreamt I love how he always wants to protect Celestia. He could care less if he got hurt. This book was amazing! I honestly didn't want to put it down but life got in the way and I had too. It made me laugh, cry, and scream but what final book doesn't. I love how all the books finally tied in at the end. Another great book Ednah!! So sad that Eirik and Celestia's book is over but can't wait to see more of them!
I couldn't put this book down. What can I say about this book that hasn't been said before. Well let put it this way you will not be able to put this book down. Be ready to laugh, cry, get mad, cry some more and laugh some more. All the unanswered questions will finally be answered and new ones will be asked. Be prepared to be thrown in to world of Eirik and celestia because they won't let you go until you find out what's happening. Happy reading
OMG, I love this series. Ednah writes with so much flair and feeling. I just want to crawl into the book and be a character. The story between Eirik and Celestia is moving and heartfelt. Watched Celestia learn her new powers is amazing. And the way Eirik does everyththing to help her is beyond love. I can't say enough great things about this series except it's a definitely must read. Incredible Ednah, if I could give more stars I would. I can't wait for the next book.
Love love love this series. I highly recommend it. Edna is such an amazing writer. I love the way she weaves the stories together. The characters are amazing too. Have some tissues handy though. Gods is the third book in this series and the last. Great ending. You won't be disappointed.
Everytime I read about Erik and Celestia I smile. I'm happy to see Erik is just as happy as his friends! This was a wonderful end to Erik and Celestia's story. I'm sure we'll see more of them in the books that are to come, but honestly with everything that has happened I'm happy with it all!
Celestia final wakes up from her coma and recovers. Eirik never left her side even though he finally has his sister home. He almost lost Celestia and refuses to come that close again. However once Celestia is home and trying to go back to normal, her mother shows up and nothing is as it seems. So an evil plan is being played out. Celestia doesn’t trust her mother no matter how nice she is. She also doubts Ann Marie’s identity. She needs more proof before she goes to Eirik. The norms are causing trouble again for Raine and Cora has Dev, the bodiless soul to contend with. Celestia is growing closer to Eirik’s mother. She also learns of her healing ability. It is rare and she needs to find help dealing with it. She has to make a nerve-racking trip to meet the other side of Eirik’s family, Odin and the other Gods and Goddesses. However everything goes crazy when her mother tries to carry out her plan. She used the girls from the center to help destroy Eirik and his family through her. She refuses to let it happen. With the help of her best friends and the reapers, she plans to stop her mother and Eirik’s grandmother. Eirik is right beside her and determined to find his real sister. I loved this series and these two characters together. They are the perfect match. I’ve enjoyed reading their adventures together. It is a true love story. Celestia is an awesome character. She is strong, loyal and fun. I love reading how she interacts with people. She isn’t afraid to embrace herself and others. It’s no wonder Eirik is crazy about her. This book really centers move around Celestia. You meet her mother and find out what it truly going only why she has been targeted by Eirik’s grandmother. The secrets that emerge are crazy. Celestia has gained a new ability that is very rare. It makes her visit Vahalla to learn how to control it. You meet more of Eirik’s family. It’s fascinating to see the author’s view. I think I like his mother’s realm better. I also like that Eirik’s story runs parallel to Raine and Cora’s. Things from their stories spill into this one. I really like to be reminded about things I’ve read in other books I love. I’m sad to see this series come to an end. I give it a 5 out of 5.
Fabulous "ending" to Eirik and Celestia's story; it is continued a bit more in Goddess.
I really liked both Eirik and Celestia as characters. I think in the first Rune's books we didn't get to know enough of Eirik and this series really did help highlight that he was more than what was shared in those pages.
I think my favorite part overall in the Eirik series was the alternating pov. I really think the other books could have benefited from that style of narration, and possibly even cutting down on the number of books that needed to be published.
Hela continues to be my favorite character in the Runes universe.
Gods by Ednah Walters is the third and final book in the Eirik series and the tenth book in the Runes Series where we follow Eirik and Celestia.
Eirik has been through a lot since he thought he was just the next-door neighbor and best friend to Raine Cooper and Cora Jemison. He’s found out about the Norse gods, met Celestia, and life will never be the same.
Reading from Eirik’s perspective is probably my favorite perspective in the full series and that’s saying something as Raine and Cora are both great as well. There are twists and turns, and unexpected reveals. What a great end to the Runes series, I can’t wait to reread them all.
I loved the romance and fantasy in this book the descriptions of the characters are amazing i feel sorry for the chief and would hope in a future book he finds a way to be part of Celeste 's new family. I am anxious to find out how the meeting goes between Cora and her parents. So overall the book left me wanting to read the next one.
I love all of these books. Each couple gives you something different, and are weaved together seamlessly. This is a great series! Brillant Author! Thanks you for creating, and sharing, these heart felt stories! I hope for more!
Eirik's story has been amazing from start to finish. I have lived all the books from Eiriks tale all the way to the beginning with Raine. Fantastic set of books
Now that I have officially completed all of the Runes books I am seriously depressed. Ednah has a way of letting the emotions of he characters reach off the page and right to my soul.
