Among the Cherokee there is a legend, a myth about witches who steal from the sick and dying. These witches are called raven-mockers, after the sound they make when they scour the night for victims. The legend is true but the Cherokee got one thing wrong about raven-mockers. They're not witches at all; they're fairies.

Now Seren must find proof of their crimes, so she can stop the raven-mockers from breaking the truce between fairies and humans. But what she finds is a truth far more shocking than she ever expected.

I can't stand Tiernan... he's overbearing, a snob and a jealous asshole. I have absolutely no idea why Seren loves him - hate insta love that's why I'm hopeing she'll finally boot him and start with Raza who is much deeper character...and you can actually see the feelings DEVELOPING!!

So much fun

I am enjoying this series immensely. Seren is a great character to follow as she is also learning about the intricacies of the fey realm and its courts, so it doesn’t feel quite as info dumpy when characters explain the needed information.

Raza is growing on Seren - look out Tiernan - and the addition of a new magical group has both the fey and human councils in a tizzy.

Can’t wait to partake of book 4

Seren is called to the Cherokee lands in Oklahoma to investigate a group of Fairies called the Raven Mockers who have supposedly been caught siphoning the life from the old and frail. Since killing humans violates the treaty, it could spell doom for the faires....except it turns out that they are being framed. Seren must find out who is behind the real crimes and the answer sets off shock waves throughout both realms. Oh, and it just so happens that the leader of the Raven Mockers is the son of Raza, the dragon djinn that has the hots for Seren.

Yay, I can finally see a path opening up that seems to lead in the direction of the promised RH! Raza is pretty intense. So far Seren is holding back, but I know when she finally gives in, it will be amazing. The Raven Mocker mystery that Seren solves in this book was pretty interesting too. It had a lot of twists and turns that led to unexpected places and expanded the world that Seren is part of. It should be interesting to see how that plays out in future books.

Kinda confusing. There were so many characters in this book it was virtually impossible to keep track of everyone. There is a good story line, but it just got suppressed due to so many physical descriptions. I would love more character development in this series. And to have more of the book. Unfortunately it ended at 83%

Exceptional

Sincerely, this series is amazing. It continues to grow and progress. It's not just the same story rehashing over and over. Truly it is amazing. My biggest, really only pet peeve... the your vs you're. It's not really that big of a deterrent in the grand scheme but it personally annoys me.

Raven Mocker was a very interesting plot line! it gave the reader more of a background about the origins of the Extinguishers as well as the Fae, without having being told directly by an innre monologue.

I was very surprised but also kind of curious about Raza being the father of one of the Raven-Mockers. Turns out that is his only child as well, so he is a very concerned parent in this book becuase his son is being accused of murder. I loved seeing this softer side of Raza and getting to know him. I think its pretty safe to say that he is definitely going to be part of the RH.

I loved Seren's interactions with Raza, Teirnan kind of took a back seat in this book, but that was necessary in order for us to get to know Raza.

I think the introduction of a new race (the witches) was well introduced and very interesting.
I cant wait to see what happens with the new political dynamics, especially considering that the witches cant really enter fae without series consequences, and the fact that they seem to be really stuck in their ways.

Obviously everything worked out in the end, even if their were some losses along the way, i still enjoyed the book immensely!

In this latest book, Amy takes us on another Fairy-tastic journey! While investigating a series of attacks both as Fairy Princess and Ambassador, we are taken on an unexpected journey with Seren! I'm amazed at how Amy keeps coming up with such flawlessly executed stories. Amy's writing is fantastic and as the plot begins to unfold throughout this novel you'll be wooed by unforeseen outcomes. Every book I've read by Amy is incredibly hard to put down and I'm constantly sucked into the amazing worlds she creates. This story is no exception to her talent! Ms. Amy Sumida deserves the highest of accolades for another job well done!

Raven-mocking, the third book of the Twilight Court series, is a book I picked up through Kindle Unlimited. I'm a fan of Sumida's writings, and enjoy her worldbuilding. I dropped the Twilight Court series a long time ago because I got caught up in her Godhunter series, which is quite lengthy. I rediscovered Raven-mocking when I was scrolling through my TBR list and snapped up a copy. I'm sucked into the characters and story again, and I'm happy to say the characters were memorable enough, I picked up the plot from where I left off. This author has a talent for re-interpreting myths and legends to spin a great tale. Loved the raven-native American tie-in.

Book 3 is better than the first 2

There are very few book series that actually get BETTER as they go along, yet this one fits the bill. Gone are the over expressive descriptions and unnecessary rehashing. Instead, the characters are finding their way and the story is fleshing out in an entertaining, and funny, way. Seren is coming into her own and it is finally starting to hint at the slow burn RH goodreads whispered about.

Inventive, delightful and engaging. Starting book 4 now.

Still a delightful read

Again, a wealth of fairy, fey, witchy history(?), enough to make you want to break out your old boss on mythology, and dig up ones about the Irish variants. Enjoyed the reveal of another world too complicate Seren's life, the seeming resolution of Gaza's infatuation, the joy of her writing with its sometimes very straightforward, soap you in the face style of sarcasm. But I especially enjoyed learning how to name someone a dickhead in Gaelic😅😅👍
Keep going, it should be interesting to see her further adventures amongst the 9 Dragon world.👏👏

Another good read

This third book in the series didn’t disappoint! Great new characters and a lot of excitement. I’m glad the story included a vast array of new characters in the human realm. It was interesting to see how the vampires, werewolves and Native American crows developed from fey races. A nice crossover. Lord Raza is now one of my favorite characters! Looking forward to the next book!

Good book looking forward to the next

I enjoyed the continuation of Princess Seren. I liked the idea of where witches came from and the problems that created. I can not wait to see what happens in the Court of the Nine Brother.

The world creation is marvelous. It is more fantasy/urban fantasy than RH. There is only one love interest in this book and the sex is kept to a bare minimum.

This series is really good, I'm fixing to start book four. The characters are well developed along with the story line. My only complaint is that every book has a re-explaining of all the characters so it seems to take a while to really dig into the adventure, but once your in it you can't put it down!

So far this is one of my favorites of this series. The writing flows well. More characters are introduced, and some we get to know better. Tiernan really starts to get annoying at parts. He has some trust issues. Raza doesn’t know when to back off. Serena does pretty well as she is still learning and growing.

So people die in unnatural ways, a man with powers catches an invisible presence taking a man's life essence on tape. The way of the extraction resembles the Raven-Mockers who are a twilight fey, mixed with humans for generations.
Seren finds and confronts them for their perceived crimes only to meet Raza's only son and his extended family. They say they are innocent. So Seren believes them. They find out it was a witch a far away descendant of Raven-Mockers with only remnants of fey magic but enough mutated to be formidable.
Turns out there are whole covens of witches living on the fringes and being very aware of the fey and the Estingushers. Seren wants peace and a new treaty forged and in the middle of the negotiations the real raven-mockers disappear along side with some returned witches and a fight is imminent before they figure out all is staged. Long story short it turns out the parents of the coven that can resurrect dead people are thinking these witches are abominations and should be killed so they stage events to bring war.
Seren saves the day with Tiernan and her posse. Raza is a good distraction stealing kisses and hugs and sweet words but Seren believes in love shared between only 2 people not a threesome soshe keeps refusing.

It took three books for this series to finally park a modicum of interest in me. I will say in comparison to the first two books, this plot line actually hooked me and entertained me!! Raza is probably the sole reason for this entertainment and i fear if the harem isn’t established soon i might completely fall off. I loved Tiernan in the beginning but as of the past two books he’s simply annoying and aggressively jealous. I hate to say it but I hope she drops him ( which i know is probably impossible because he’s part of her star guard). The focus has been entirely on him for the past three ish books and i’m tired of him. I MISS CONRI!!! I WANT RAZA!!! GIVE ME SOMETHING!!! Side note: I also hate the fact that he made her establish a monogamous relationship because then the kiss with raza was seen as cheating. I don’t like rh that is based on cheating it slightly gives me the ick.

Tbh I love Spectra series more than this.

and Tiernan, god he was so obnoxious and irrational in this book, in the previous books he was the one to say that fey are non-monogamous people and they follow call Of Danu then why the hell he behaved like an ass throught the book it pissed me off that I started skipping when it came to his and Seren's 1 on 1 conversations. in previous book I thought yeah he will be a little jealous but he will understand call when it came to adding other men to Seren's harem but dear lord I want to skip this book completely.

A Fey mystery

Princess Seren Firethorn, the half human daughter of the Twilight King, is called on to control the Raven Mockers, Twilight Fey living among the Cherokee. The Cherokee have a story that there are witches who visit the old and ill where they steal the last of their lives. Little does she know that this simple investigation could lead to a full out war between Humans and the Fey!
A very involved and satisfying mystery.

Good read

Another good read from the Twilight Court series. As with the previous books in the series, there are a few grammatical issues, but nothing that can't be overlooked, if desired. Overall, I am still really enjoying this series. The storyline of each book keeps my attention until the end, and is different enough from the others that it hasn't gotten too repetitive.

Witchy

ok this series has gotten way better and only a few edit errors. I love that the writer keeps are main characters while adding more in the mix. Well made characters, magic, action, romance and some nicely done twists added to this series. I cannot wait to read the next book.

I love these books with all my heart! I think my favorite characters, besides Seren and Danu of course, are Uisdean and Uncle Dylan. They’re hilarious! Suffice to say, these books are amazing, and this one introduces a whole new race of people. 5 stars.

Am enjoying this series as I have Amy's previous books, my biggest criticism would be that it is getting dangerously close to being too similar to the Godhunter series.
