This book is very well organised and provides a thorough overview of Eisenstein's filmography. I am really glad that the author has a familiarity with film analysis as it makes reading about film much more enjoyable. I only wish that the author had delved more into Eisenstein's personal/political life in the latter half of the novel as he seems to shy away from discussing it. Overall, I really enjoyed it and found it well researched.
