Written in 1967 it was interesting to see the paintings in color and black and white attributed to Caravaggio or his copyists at that time. Much has changed and some of Caravaggio’s works have still not been found and some attributed to others have now been changed to original works by the painter…..read this book after reading The Lost Painting by Harr (excellent book.)

I picked this up to better explore the work of Caravaggio as discussed by Francine prose in her brief biography of the painter. It's only available through ILL. It was very helpful to see them in a larger format.
