This book is great for students to see how sign language is used. They can learn simple letters and what words they can create to maybe relate to students that may have a hearing disability to be inclusive in the classroom. Using this in the classroom would be great for kinesthetic learning among the students.

This book shows students how to sign the abc's. This book also shows students how to sign some different animals or objects. This would be a good way for students to learn the basics of sign language. It would also expose students to sign language.

A lovely ABC book laid out in a purposeful way. A few of the signs were confusing and EVERY alphabet sign was demonstrated by the hand of a white person. The cover has the obligatory black person and Asian person to demonstrate its inclusivity, but the text features only two pages with illustrations featuring folks who aren't white. The text may be a helpful addition to a classroom library, but not a stand-alone text.

A great multicultural addition for any classroom and a wonderful learning tool for an ASL/ Special needs room! Picturing the ASL Alphabet and English alphabet, as well as pictures of something that begins with that letter of the alphabet! It was a great find to add a kinesthetic learning piece for students. Students can do a variety of projects with the signs they learn in the book, older students could sort the signs into categories, younger students could simply use it for rote learning.

This book teaches the letters of the alphabet with thoughtful illustrations and sentences. Additionally, the book also shows sign language gestures that correspond with the alphabet.

I would use this book in my classroom to aid in movement learning. Students would learn their alphabet in a new way by adding on a concrete topic.

This book shows the different hand signs for letter a-z and shows a sign of a word that starts with that letter. Example A and apple. I would use this book to teach students simple sign and to expose them to a different culture. If you, as a teacher, have not been exposed to sign language the risk is there of teaching the sign wrong. You would want to make sure you know the signs.

I can sign my Abc's book is a book on how to sign your Abc's and words associtated with that letter. For example it will show how to sign the letter A and how to sign for the word Apple. This will be a great book to use for an introduction to alphabet or a even a review of alphabet where the student's can sign with you as you read.

This is a great book for students to read because it teaches students sign language and there may be students within the classroom or school that are Deaf. It will teach students to be aware of what they can do to communicate with Deaf students and Deaf people within their community.
