The sixth-grade newspaper at Sweet Valley Middle School has started running personal ads, and as far as Jessica Wakefield is concerned, it couldn't have come at a better time. She and Aaron Dallas have nothing in common anymore, Jessica's ready to find a new boyfriend in the pages of the Sweet Valley Sixers.
Soon Jessica's exchanging the most romantic letters with a mysterious admirer. Her new pen pal loves all the same things she does—even pineapple pizza!
At last they decide to meet. It's going to be the date of the decade. And is Jessica in for a surprise!
Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
I scooped up all the Sweet Valley Christmas books on eBay, and some of them came in a lot with other books from the series. This is one set in middle school where Jessica places an ad for a boyfriend in the school paper and sets off a trend. A nice wholesome read before Jess reaches peak high school attitude.
Loveeeee this one here! Got fed up with Arron's weird and childish behaviour, Jessica decided to use the school's bulletin to find a new date for the upcoming party (forgot if it was for prom or something else-->read this in primary school) anyway, other people started following her move, and on D-day, they sure will get some shock. Though not for Jessica. Perfect ending. So teenagers.. hehehe
This book was sooooooo romantic and sweet honestly it was twenty times better than the usual chick flick books written for teens.EVERYONE should read this it was sooooo wonderful and romantic <3 read this book so many times!!
