Peter Pan
by H.G. Wells

One resone read this book is because the illustrated classics are great books. They make classics longer and more introsting. I gave this 3 stars so far.

The book explains that her and her family have always been jion with Peter Pan in there dreams, but one night Wendy's (oldest sister)parents were going to a ball And that night Peter Pan visted her in the night. Reson being he lost his shadow in there house in resont occasion. So he came to get it back.
We he arived his Friend Tinker Bell help his serch for his shadow, so he found it under neth the familys clothes he tryed o put it back on but he couldn't so he started to cry . His cring woke up Wendy from her sleep. She asked him " why are you cring". He answerd "I can't put my shadow back on" so Wendy explained to him that she could sow it back on so when sowed it back on he was so happy. Then she asked "were are your parents?"

the plot is in tennese. alines have invaded and a man and his kids must survive the atack on the world. the alines have never been explained but they are hear to eat some people and harvest the earths population. This is the oldest copy ofd the book and i didnt like it at all, it had a picture every page and sucked. there where so much plot holes in the story and it was really repetetive, the funny thing is that they read it on the radio and the hole state fliped out thinking it was real and paniced. there isnt really like a in depth plot its mainly just survival.

We are just reading A Tale of Two Ciites not the other two right now.

So we finished it. My son Jared liked it so much that he begged me to read it all. We read the last 16 chapters in one setting. Whew!

I have never (yes, I need to!) read the original so I don't know how this, as an abridged version, compares.

From the Great illustrated Classics series, I've read: Peter Pan, Dracula, Anne of Green Gables, and Martin Luther King Jr; and I've loved them all, my favorites old have to definitely PETER PAN and Anne of Green Gables. I own these books-their all in my closet with the ton of other books that I have also.

I read multiple illustrated classics as a kid and with my own kids. They are an introduction to literature, a life-long interest in reading, and biography. I still, have quite a few of my Illustrated Classics
