Introducing Andrew Pierce, Victor Creed, Marco Bellomi, Peter Jones, Jaxon Right, Craig Smart, and Landon Rogers!
This anthology contains BRAND NEW interracial romance, alpha male SHORT STORIES from Sara Allen, Phoenix Daniels, SK Lessly, Kasey Martin, DJ Parker, Tiffany Patterson, and Mariah Violet!
Please note: Some short stories are complete, and some have cliffhangers.
Seven alphas, seven sexy couples, three "teaser" stories and 4 new, complete novellas equal to one hell of a book set!!
Peter, Victor, AP. Marco, Jaxon, Landon and Craig are some of the hottest male characters I've read about in a minute! Victor Creed and AP are my favorites, with Marco and Craig tied for second.
I loved the opening scenes of We All Fall Down (Peter and Val), Creed (Victor and Taylor), and Controlled (AP and Nyla); it was so How To Get Away With Murder like!! These three will be upcoming releases by three of the hottest new authors; Sara Allen, Phoenix Daniels and SK Lessly. I can't wait to read the complete books....my interest was seriously piqued!
Kasey Martin gave me hot ass Italian hottie, Marco, DJ Parker gave me Jaxon (whoa baby), Tiffany Patterson gave me sexy quarterback, Landon and Mariah Violet gave me former Army MP, Craig (who's physically gifted).
Lots of sex, very little substance. Characters fall in lust (I don't consider it love when the first thing that draws you to a person are their physical attributes) within seconds and then simply fall in bed. Then, because the sex is just so awesome, they're automatically soulmates. It's becoming more and more difficult to find books in this genre that provide any type of emotional investment for a reader.
It is seldom that a box set has all great stories but this one does. I am familiar with a few of the authors and have become fan of theirs, the lines I don't know, I'll definitely be reading their books in the future
I really enjoyed all the Alphas! The shorts were just as good as the full stories. I'm looking forward to reading the full books. Glad to see new stuff from my fave authors and happy to pick up new ones. Well done.
Some stories were good. Others was so so. This genre is getting over saturated. Some authors need to take class on story telling. I can say this as someone who majored in theatre.
I'm not quite sure how to go about ... with this book - so I guess I'm not rating it because I only read one of the stories - I tried 2 that were "complete stories" and didn't read the one about the meth house (meth heads?)
The first three(?) were snippets so I skipped them. [We All Fall Down by Sara Allen = partial. Creed by Phoenix Daniels = partial. Controlled by SK Lessly = partial.
Watched by Kasey Martin - I started this one, but DNF'd it because it just wasn't written well - static characters/bad guy. It had promise but meandered and there are too many books to read to try to slog through one I don't know if it'll deliver or not. Captured by DJ Parker - even worse than Watched. It starts out with a young heroine [I mean she was still going to Juilliard I believe, so ... and she's getting abused. Look. No thank you. (And of course her abusive druggie loser boyfriend decides to pimp her out. He's also partially crippled her already so ... yeah. Hard pass. NOT ONLY THAT - but it wasn't well written. :| DNF)
[A Dangerous Man by Mariah Violet => the premise details three guys on the run after their meth house "has been busted" and I ... maybe I'll try it some time in the future? But ...]
I got this for the Tiffany Patterson story - and was pleasantly surprised to see it was Melody and Landon's story. Love in Paradise by Tiffany Patterson <3 I'd already unknowingly read "Forever" prior to this - so it was kinda like an "awww" this is how it happened. Not sure what I'd have thought if I'd read this one first ... A LITTLE wish I had since Forever was good but I felt like it started abruptly - in that I was ish missing something - AND LO I WAS.
I did, however, feel there were gaps - this wasn't a very short novella, thankfully, but their like 9(?) month relationship that you see only gets a few pages, if not just a few paragraphs. I did like them hanging out at the island but it was a lot of telling not showing and literally "you're my woman now" not like ... "hey let's get to know each other outside of our vacation persona/setting." [Obviously that happens in the passage of time but we're just ... supposed to assume they've developed this ~perfect relationship.]
Even so though I'd probably give it a ... blergh. C or D ... low C high D? I dunno.
I Came across this book and to my greatest surprise It has the beginning story Of a stand alone book I've read. I was very happy to read this book and read Tiffany Patterson story with Melody & Landon.
But just like the stand alone book, Landon and Melody story just doesn't really get me excited compare to her other books.
This story was very much a short story with a quick easy fix of K.I.S.S. Which stands for Keep It Simple Stupid.
There's not much conflict in this book, it's very much a quick fix, and Landon is very much Landon. Demanding, but loving and protective.
I love that you see from him point a view, the first time they meet, and how he couldn't get enough of her. How he chase after her and to her greatest surprise he wanted her and wanted to show her off.
I love his confidence, and how he tells Melody ex that he's actually thankful for him not see what a gem he gave up. Or he wouldn't have, had a chance to get with her. But that's all the thanks he's getting from him, and how he needs to back off his woman and get the stepping.
If that scene doesn't get your heart thumping, then there's other scene in the book that will. Landon is Melody is deff a match made by fate.
The ones I read were 5 stars & above. We All Fall Down - Sara Allen***this is pretty fast-paced, intense and was very interesting since this is just a snippet I was disappointed that the very first story is an incomplete one. Creed - Phoenix Daniels, since this is another snippet, I didn't even read it, I'm just not a fan of cliffhangers. Controlled-SK Lessy, ditto however I will be searching for a full version book by this (new to me) author. Watched-Kasey Martin*****+now this is how I found this box set, icing on the cake. I am blown away by this author's books and this story alone makes this set worth buying. Another knight finds his one and only. Captured-DJ Parker, couldn't finish more than a few chapters of this, too violent for me. Love In Paradise-Tiffany Patterson*****+Oh yeah!!! Another great reason to purchase this set. LOVE this vacation romance!! A Dangerous Man-Mariah Violet*****Love how upfront these two are, their frisky business has edge.
Wow. This is thoroughly entertaining set of books. They are sometimes dark and vengeful, and some are full of romance, along with suspense, enlightenment and lots of caring at the same time. I enjoy the progression of the storylines of most of them and how well the characters were developed. The writing definitely make you want to read every related book to the stories even the ones with the cliffhangers. What I enjoy most about this series is the twists and turns. They were not just your typical romance, since there is a element of suspense to them all. Throughout the entire series there’s always something that’s just simmering beneath the surface, and that along with the depth of the main couples emotions makes each story such a page turner. I read this series for Tiffany Patterson but I gain some new authors to read in the process. If you are like myself you will enjoy!!😍
Let me start by saying not all the books are full stories, at least the first three. They are good but if you expect or hope to fully read books 1 (We All Fall Down) and 3 (Controlled), you're out of luck. Trust me, I looked and researched, nada. It was quite disappointing.
My spirits were lifted after reading Creed and being able to find the full story. Love In Paradise, Tiffany Paterson gave us a secondary book for that one. All the other stories were quite good as well. This helped me find more exciting BWWM authors to read with decent characters and great stories.
I don't like partial stories so I did not read the first 3. One of the completed stories was written by an author that I was truly disappointed by with two previous books so, I did not choose to read. The two I did read were really sweet and short stories with significant appeal. There was very little drama, lots of steamy sexual encounters and HEA! Both of those, I would give 4-🌟4-.
I enjoyed the 4 full stories, but why tease me with the 3 sneak peeks😫😫😫. I will be honest once I saw CREED and CONTROLLED were snippets I did not read them because I want to read the CREED and CONTROLLED series in sequence. However, What about WE ALL FALL DOWN? When will that book be released? Sara Allen cannot keep me hanging about what happened next with Peter and Val. Inquiring minds want to know.
I loved this collection of stories about Alpha's. SK Lessly introduces her Controlled series which is off the charts. Each story illuminates an Alpha who is sexy and determined to have things his way in all he does. Great heat and suspense.. Some are full length stories and some are fabulous teasers...Great reads with some new authors...
I enjoyed every single story. Each offered a wonderful mixture of character chemistry and authentic action so I cannot say which I prefered. I really hit pay dirt when I bought this anthology with a great selection of authors Thank you so much for these terrific romantic tales. 😘
Book one and two’s authors are new finds that I throughly enjoyed reading. The third author was already a favorite of mine. Author fours style was fair to middling, but promising! Number 5 didn’t secure my attention from the start, and wasn’t finished, six and seven were skipped?
I loved all the stories but 3/4 of them were just snips. I wish I had read the fine print. I bought the book because of one author Mariah Violet and thank goodness hers was a full story and the last one of the book.
The men in these series are strictly men. They have the powers. Their domineering. Their controlling. I love each one of them. But I've gotten to read the full story from Andrew and Nyla. Where are the other full stories.
5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read I got this anthology from Kindle Unlimited simply to read Tiffany Patterson work title "Live in Paradise". I love a romance where an alpha male is able to mend a broken heart and make the woman whole again.
What a great read, a really well put together group of sexy romantic stories by several of my favourite author's. I also discovered one or two that I had not come across before but they lived up to the mark set so high by their fellow author's.
These seven stories did not disappoint, and I’m happy to have stumbled upon the collection. I can definitely see myself following up with a few of these authors.
I primarily read some this book to read part one of "Controlled" series and that is what I am rating. I am hooked and on Controlled 2 now. My first paranormal interracial novel series.
I enjoyed the stories in this collection. Truth be told, I only read the complete story ones and not the continuations but the stories that I read are very good.
My favourites were Phoenix Daniels, Tiffany Patterson and of course my all-time favourite author is the one and only SK Lessly; her depiction of an Alpha male is out of this world, I adore A.P; so looking forward to reading the full book. I had to buy Creed to see what happened to the shero of that story. And I am looking out for Tiffany Patterson as I believe she will be my next all time favourite writer; as I like her style of writing, plus her alpha male, I liked too. I found Mariah Violet story very intriguing, she is also on my list of authors to look out for. This book was a very good introduction, allowing you to get to authors that you may not of come across before, and stay away like paint-stripper from others; if by chance you bought their book who could not, without any doubt does not know the first thing about creative writing, but just scroll thru words as if it's a long line of insignificant sh#t to spurt thru the drain as waist; and not thinking it's a piece of graceful beauty of art that needs to be handled with care and love. To those that know, thank you for allowing your gift to shine and to those that think anyone can be a writer go back and study you're craft before dribbling out any kind of plot and storyline to the reader's as if we are not aware of good creative writing and not deserving to read something that stimulates our senses and our time!
Whew, these ladies really did their thing! I enjoyed my ride with these sexy, dangerous and loving alphas. Let's see Peter was loving and dangerous; Creed was sexy and mean as help; I also liked the that Phoenix brought in some characters from her Storm series, I may to do re-read!!! AP was a whole lot of crazy, but sexy too. I can't wait to see where SK takes his story. Aww, Jaxon was so loving and was hurting. I did not Ashley, at all!! She was running from a serious ass whipping and abuse, why not let sexy ass Jaxon help you! I would have been telling him everything..where to find the the fool, what he looked like and what he had done to me! I was so over her. Now Landon....OMG! He was sex to tenth power!! Loved the way he treated and loved Melody. Craig was sexy too, but a little too quiet for me.. Oh, I almost forgot sexy ass Marco..bad ass too, loved his interaction with Sydney. This was a good book, really enjoyed it.
