Enchanted Spells is the third book of the trilogy, and it is the best of the three. This book switches point of view to the other sister who claimed the dark wand Penelope in the previous book.
There are some inconsistencies in the books that bothered me, particularly the discussions regarding the age and lifespan of a certain shapeshifter, and I often questioned the judgement of the characters throughout the books. Also (Spoiler alert) the decision in the end regarding the wands troubled me deeply as they each had such strong personalities and were characters themselves. Destroying them would be tantamount to murder.
These books are aimed at a YA audience and best suited for a teenage audience.
The narrator of that audiobook has improved in this book, but she still struggles with differentiating characters and emotions.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I read all three books in this series. They were great! I enjoyed them so much, I could not put them down! Kristen Middleton is my new favorite author! I also read the "Venom" boxed set. All these books were well written. The author knows how to develop the most wonderful characters!
I won't say this book is awesome..it is entertainment for some time..if you can't get any book to read and want some time pass. It a nice book has magic and fantasy and of course some teen Romance. I actually liked it's story but not the way it's written .Like the author was in a hurry to finish the story .It isn't threaded that well but okay . Of course it's just my opinion 😊
This entire series is a YA series; a cross between Twilight and Harry Potter. The premise was decent, but the plot didn't change really between the three books I listened to. The character development was okay.
The continuous story of Kala and Kendra. The twin are now going to school to learn now to use magic and be witches.Vivian is back and she want her ward back and the death of her twin. Great story.
Kala was a boring character with potential. The threat of her wand was barely one. And the ending was so anti-climatic. Not hard to read, but didn't feel necessary.
This one didn't have as much action as the two before (for the battle with Vivian) It was more of the thoughts of Kala Kala's character development was relatable Overall a nice story.

"Enchanted Spells (Witches of Bayport, #3)" by Kristen Middleton is a disappointing read. The plot is lackluster, with underdeveloped characters and a predictable storyline. The writing style is amateurish, filled with cliches and uninspiring descriptions. It fails to captivate the reader's interest or create a sense of immersion in the magical world it attempts to depict. Overall, this book falls short of expectations, making it a one-star rating and a regrettable addition to the Witches of Bayport series.
I've said it before, but worth repeating. This is definitely a YA book. I got stuck on that and expected more, but we seemed to have circled back to earlier issues. Kala wanted Penelope because she needed to be special. Her twin could not have a great boyfriend, be slim and good looking now too, and have a special wand as well. That would just not be fair so she needed a special wand and a special broom (which she seems to have easily mastered). She had the boyfriend, but that couldn't be easy, so we have some drama there too. Don't get me wrong, in the first book, I did like Kala, but found her a little too easily blind to things. Her friends behavior towards her sister being the main one. However, you could see that she really did care. She didn't change drastically, just my impression of her didn't improve. As a matter of fact, I found all of them worse than what I would have expected of teenagers. At 18, I definitely don't recall acting this way and feeling more like an adult than not.
This is still interesting in that I love books about magic, and teen books can be fun and easy to read. I just wish the characters would have grown too. Perhaps their time at the school could have been expanded without all of the angst about going in the first place. Everything happened so quickly, that they didn't get a chance to really see what being a witch could be about. Vivian being in the globe longer and probably driven mad with the need to get out would have been more satisfying too. She was like the bad character that just didn't go away. And when she did, it was a bit anticlimactic. Now, I did like how it happened since I figured they weren't going to resolve it by murdering her, but everything was just so short lived.
