The title story in this collection of “scary” stories is about Lisa, who wonders: “Where does the poison in the weed killer go after the weeds die?” She has a dream one night about a monster that lives below their yard and wakes to discover a grass goblin and plants with gleaming eyes and sharp teeth outside her home. Accompanied by illustrations by Xavier Bonet, young readers will enjoy a not-so-scary foray into the supernatural.
