Carefully leveled text and fresh, vibrant photos engage young readers in learning about the changes and adaptations fall brings. Age-appropriate critical thinking questions and a photo glossary help build nonfiction learning skills.
An okay seasonal nonfiction picture book, but it bugged me that fall events are out of order (Thanksgiving before going back to school, etc.). More problematic is that it is monocultural: "Fall holidays are fun. People celebrate Halloween. They eat a big meal for Thanksgiving." The word "some" would have gone a loooong way there- Fall Harvest Fun by Rustad handles this much better. Not recommended. Ages 3-6.
