The book is more broadly Buddhist than specifically focused on wabisabi but it still offers valuable insights. Whether citing the Japanese language, tradition or her own experiences in Japan and beyond, she offers a great deal of insight on challenges and opportunities that life can offer.

This was a life-changing read for me. Beautifully written and packed with simple, but profound wisdom. I'm sure I'll read it again many times and plan to reach out to the author, something I almost never do.

I read this one because I was searching for a spiritual but not overly religious book for a teen friend that is seeking her way when it comes to her faith and making wise choices. It looked good on the surface but I didn't trust giving it to her until I read it myself. The chapters are short but thought-provoking (it could definitely be read as a daily devotional). I found it spiritual (but not overly so) with good, wise advice. This is good for those that need some guidance and for those that need a gentle reminder about what life is truly all about.
