While Wet was enjoyable despite its many flaws, Soaked kinda jumped the shark for me.
The main conflict was a holdover from the previous book. I expected this book to go deeper into West and Sadie's relationship or the lack of it and delve deeper into the reason for their breakup in the first place.
Instead, we get a pseudo conflict where another guy and her ex-fiance were involved. It took me out of the main conflict about West and how he constantly puts an ex of his above Sadie's. It was jarring. The one good thing about this book was West's POV but then, when I really think about it, his POV didn't contribute any new information since we already know his ex was a manipulative bitch and that he loves Sadie very much. It added nothing.
Sadie's POV was just a hot mess. If you're a reader who doesn't like her heroine spending intimate moments with another guy, then run away. Again, that part with Nick was confusing because it didn't really add anything to the story. I would go as far to say that it made me dislike Sadie a little bit.

Overall Opinion: This is going to be a little ranty, so I apology in advance...I had some huge issues with both characters in this one. I should've given up with the first one, but I was just so darn curious as to what happens with them. Oh well. In the end I didn't really care about their HEA (which I felt like I didn't even get), because I didn't necessarily like either character. BOTH of them were in the wrong and acted stupidly at times -- maybe that's what made them so perfect for each other *sarcasm*. This one I ended up not liking, which earned it just 2 stars.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Sadie and West's story. This picks up where the first book, Wet, ends. Sadie confronts West, and ends up leaving for 3 weeks for a business trip. There is some groveling going on, some pushing away, some OM and OW drama, and some sexy times...and they eventually get their HFN ending.
POV: This was mainly in Sadie's POV with a few chapters in West's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Ok. Even though I finished it quickly, I actually skimmed some in this one when it was stupid drama and stupid inner dialogue by the h.
Instalove: They already have strong feelings at the beginning of this book.
H rating: 2.5 stars. West. I appreciated how he kept trying to win her back, but COME ON!! How freaking oblivious could he be?!? He continued to be nice to this OW that was obviously a major issue for the h when he should've been cutting her out of his life!
h rating: 2 stars. Sadie. I had huge issues with her in this one. She needed to communicate with the H and ask him for what she wanted instead of holding it against him that he couldn't read her mind! I also lost any respect I had for her with the OM scenes (see OM drama and cheating spoilers)
Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed here.
Heat level: Moderate. Still good chemistry and hot scenes.
Descriptive sex: Yes.
Safe sex: Yes and no. No mentions of safe sex practices, and then at the end the h says she doesn't want him to use something because she's on birth control. (Still no mention of past practices)
OW/OM drama:Yes
Sex scene with OW or OM: Yes
Cheating: I think yes, but others might not.
Possible Triggers: Mild
Closure: This had ok closure, but not enough for me. I would call it a HFN ending even though there is talk of larger commitments being made (I'm picky -- I know!).

This is not an accusation I make lightly, but I suspect this book might have been laced with crack. I mean, I'm not sure how else to explain how it kept me coming back for more. Ignoring my children and my grown-up responsibilities, I sat for nearly every waking moment—nose buried in my Kindle, jaw slackened, heart racing, then breaking, then hoping, then racing again as I let Stacy Kestwick ease me down from the ledge she left me dangling on at the end of Wet.
I'm safely off the ledge now, and I'm bursting with happiness. It was a bit of a wild ride—I was frustrated sometimes with Sadie. I felt like there were some important conversations she could have had with West that would have resolved their issues much more quickly—some conversations that they actually never did have—though they were able to resolve things in the most spectacular way without them. So mostly, that’s just a niggling thought rattling around in my hungover brain and honestly, aside from that, I adored how their story resolved.
Sadie experienced a tremendous amount of growth—made peace with her past, and embraced a newer, stronger version of herself. And West. *Sigh* West just kept stealing my heart over and over again. He's amazing, if a little obtuse sometimes (Men!). I adored him. I adored them. I adored this entire story so, so much. I literally could not put it down.
This was a completely satisfying conclusion to Sadie and West's story. It also opened up a lot of doors for secondary character stories. There are a lot more that I'm going to need, including Rue and Grady (of course), but also Nick. And Theo. And Wyatt. And then I'm going to need some kind of detox if they're all laced with the same kind of crack that this one was.

I have SO MANY things I want to say about Soaked. About how much I loved West and Sadie. (And Rue and Grady. Hell, even Nick.) And how much I HATED Aubrey. And the Asshole.
Oh, and about how completely and utterly diabolical Stacy Kestwick is.
Soaked picked up the story started—and left hanging off a cliff—in Wet, and I feel like I waited FOREVER (perhaps a slight exaggeration) for it. So, was it worth the wait? That's a resounding HELL YES. It was all I had hoped for, maintaining the swoony, funny, heated charm of Wet, and adding in a dash of real-life frustration to boot. In fact, I wasn't even halfway through this book, when I had to stop and take stock. Because I'd already experienced basically ALL of the feels—heartache, lust, frustration, swooniness, adoration, and anger. There were others, too.
For example, that annoyance you feel to towards a character—or in this case, characters *cough Sadie and West cough*—because they're not doing what you KNOW they should. Also, the love you still feel for them, despite that. And I did love this couple, so, so much. I teetered on the edge of so pissed off I was feeling STABBY, and so heart-sore over their woes that I wanted to wrap them both up in a big, warm hug. Because their reactions are what anyone would do in their situation, basing their assumptions on their own experiences, and knowing only what they know—and not what we as readers are privy to…
For a book so focused on the water, Soaked was a flame. Beautifully mesmerizing, able to destroy (my heart) and become the perfect place to start over. It was smokin’ HOT, utterly unputdownable, and left me completely satisfied, with a light heart and a big, goofy smile. And, actually, salivating for more of the Water’s Edge crew, specifically Rue and Grady. With West and Sadie’s romance told, oh, so perfectly, Rue and Grady seem to me to be the ideal place to start over… I'm sure I'd have a lot to say about that book, too. ~ Beth, 5 stars

So after I took the plunge with Stacy Keswick’s debut book, Wet, I was ready for more. I had to know what awaits for West Montgomery and Sadie Mullins. And in true Stacy Kestwick fashion, she once again splashes her readers with a fun, sexy, steamy, and angsty filled romance that will have readers “soaked.” Soaked with frustration, soaked with sexual tension, and most importantly soaked with love.

Can Sadie get over her insecurities? These questions will have readers begging Stacy for the answers. Fret not because Stacy has perfectly splashed her readers with the right amount of angst, drama, steam, and romance to keep her readers entertained. Trust me, Stacy Kestwick will have readers swimming with bliss and drowning with love.

Soaked was just as good as the first book and picked up right where Wet left off.
I liked the push and pull between West and Sadie but it never felt like it was too much. They needed to work some things out but did it in a way where it was believable.
The chemistry was once again off the charts hot! (my one qualm was that I got tired of reading about her damn nipples all the time...maybe it's just me but damn!!)
This was a fun and sexy read and rounded out West and Sadie's story perfectly!

Great sequel! I'm so glad I found this author when I did. Looking forward to reading more with the rest of the characters - bring on Grady and Rue's book!!!

Silly me. I just wanted to find out how everything ended. Not only was the solution to the h’s online sex tape resolved in a completely unrealistic manner, the h’s insecurities really started to annoy me after a while. Ok, fine. Right away. She started annoying me right away.
Add to that the juvenile inner monologue and dialogue, the lack of safety issue, and the utter idiocy of the H doing stuff that made the h feel even more insecure than she did already, and this is a one star read. I skimmed all the intimate scenes of which there were many, and that didn’t help my rating either.
I’m not sorry I found out what eventually happened with the MCs of this duology, but I wouldn’t have started the series in the first place had I known how it all play out. One star for the H who really turned things around at the end with his sincere gestures. Too bad that didn’t happen earlier.

Sadie is done with West. Resolved that he's just used up his last chance to prove himself the kind of man she's been hoping he would, its time to move on, and with her upcoming trip to shoot promotional photos for Grady's new resort just around the corner, it couldn't come at a better time.
In the end it doesn't matter if he's got an excuse for his behavior, it doesn't even matter if its a legitimate excuse, since the way their relationship has gone, there has always been the need for excuses, and that's not the kind of relationship she's prepared to settle for. The bottom line is that every time there's something that needs to be excused away ... it hurts, regardless how good the excuse might be after the fact.
This breakup is so very different from the breakup at the beginning of Wet, book one of the Water's Edge series however. Back then despite the upheaval, she was glad to be out, and this time, it hurts so much, because she really wishes that things could have worked out differently.
Soaked by Stacy Kestwick, follows Sadie on her quest to put this latest failed relationship behind her, even as West pulls out all the stops to get her to change her mind. Throw in a handsome stranger, a nightmare from the past, the best of friends and probably too much alcohol and you've got the recipe for a volatile story. Throw Aubrey, West's bitchy ex into the mix and its downright explosive.
I read a lot of stories and very few have major plot twists that catch me completely by surprise but this one did, and as plot twists go, I thought it was clever, timely, worked well with the story and even managed to be somewhat educational without getting preachy. Beyond that, the story was well paced, moving from angsty through funny, awkward, suspenseful, sad, and extremely hot while keeping a hopeful tone throughout. Read through in one sitting and thankfully, no cliffhanger at the end this book had me feeling the joy of life and just warm fuzzies all over
For fans there are plenty of hooks tossed out along the way to be picked up regarding the minor characters setting the scene for other books in the series to pick up on, and I for one am looking forward to see what comes next.

When Wet ended on that tidal wave of a cliffy, I was furious with West Montgomery! He tangled himself up with his ex whatever she is, Aubrey and poor Sadie Mullins had had enough. I have to admit, I did too. West could sail off on his boat, the Vitamin Sea and never come back.
But I have to admit, that there was more to his story than we readers knew. When he returned (after Sadie saw him carrying Aubrey on to the dock) he tried to get a hold of Sadie. But she was having no parts of it. She was leaving for a photo shoot the next day and was not going to let him stomp on her heart again.
West Montgomery.
The man who still made my heart beat faster at just the sight of him.
But leaving him behind as a little harder than she thought. Although the hot photographer she met on the plane, Nick, helped make the flight there fun and full of flirty naughtiness. Imagine her surprise when she finds out that Grady hired him to work on the same shoot. He is sexy and talented and self assured. Could there be a little paradise found for these two?
I just knew Sadie's ex Asher would rise from the pond scum and he didn't disappoint. As if she doesn't have enough heartache going on, he more than proves that he is filth and Sadie is well rid of him. But is she rid of him?
"He used me. He took what wasn't his to share and gave it to everyone. Destroyed my trust. Sent me running from my home. I thought he broke my heart."
Can West explain why he seems to bend over backwards for Aubrey? Will Sadie give him a chance to explain and if she does, will it be enough?

Very very disappointing which is sad because I was really looking forward to this book. I don't know what the hell happened but I didn't expect the direction this book was going. It's so incredibly boring that I fell asleep at some point. Literally.
Maybe it's just me or maybe the novelty just wore off on me. See this is the problem with me. That's what happens when authors release their books so far in between. We just lose interest.

A great ending for this couple, but all that self doubt for a second part in a two part series it's blah as it goes the first book is excellent but I think this failed a little in capturing my attention completely at times. So I enjoyed it but it didn't get my heart pumping for the second time but overall a good read

hmmmm..lets see.West is still and idiot. still does not comprehend til the end of the book that he needs to get a clue that he needs to cut Aubrey off and stop hanging out with her and then he finally does and tell her off. Sadie, he is not a mind reader, tell him what this chick is doing, the text messages she sends you the pictures, cmon- and really the best way to deal with things is to grind up on some guy pantyless and masturbate on a colleague ok., Now I have read some reviews and lot of people keep calling Sadie whiny, but cmon give her a break, how would you like your boyfriend spending time with his ex, who is torturing you, after being cheated on, put yourself in her shoes.

My 5 star review of Soaked
I love new authors, and any time one of them can write- and do it well, I turn into a major fan girl. I read a little book called Wet in 2015, and I loved it! It was actually in my top 10 from 2015. I really loved the way she wrote, her content flowed really easily, and I was invested in these characters. Stacy’s newest follow up, Soaked, was no different. It had everything I wanted, of course the HEA I so desperately needed from her- even if it took me the entire book to get it, I wanted it. This book picked up where Wet left us hanging- with a poor Sadie and West in the biggest, loneliest doghouse that there ever was! This book gave me all kinds of feels but mostly it was that page turning feeling that I love so much that made me devour it from start to finish.
Here's the thing- you either LOVE West and are on his side, or you love West and are on his side. There is no other way to be. Yes, he can be immature, and yes- he was caught in some unlikely circumstances that were not his fault for the most part. And had this been cookie cutter romance with no angst or drama- West would have gone to Aubrey- and brought her to Sadie’s home, and confronted her on page one. BUT, this isn’t the cookie cutter type of romance, this is fiction and Stacy is the author so she can write it how she damn well please. And I LOVED it for that. I loved all the little bumps and bruises these two went through, it made the story memorable- a story to share with your reader friends. “Can you believe with that witch Aubrey did?” or “Damn you Sadie, you need to be shaken, hear West out!” I love books that can make me do that. That can make me say “awwwww” one second and “mother F!” the next- and Stacy has done that with this conclusion to Sadie and West’s story. Not to mention we went from being just a little Wet, to being completely Soaked during some of the hotter scenes, hehe.
Over the course of this duology I fell in love with Sadie and West, like everyone did. I loved how Sadie grew into the woman she was always meant to become. I loved how West grew a pair, and became a good man- a man who at first did not believe in himself- to a man who was full of confidence and was ready to be in love, FINALLY, with Sadie. You have to remember- these characters are not real, first of all, but if they were- they are young, immature, and a little dense at times. But sometimes such is life, right? We all don’t act our age every second of every day. Sometimes we can be a little immature when it comes to relationships, and sometimes we just don’t think before we speak or act. We are only human- and so are these fictional characters- they made mistakes, loads of them- but they righted their wrongs, and in the end- they got their HEA. And while the Water’s Edge series is not over, a little part of me is sad that Sadie and West’s story has come to an end. Sure we will see them in the rest of this series- no doubt, but a little part of me is sad the donut lover and paper airplane maker’s story is over. Well done again Stacy, you continue to amaze me with the level of awesomeness that you have and write with.

I have been waiting forever for Soaked after I read Wet !
What I loved:
West - he was so damn charming in this book I probably fainted like a hundred times...his love for Sadie was totally shining.
The sex scenes- SO HOT. Definitely more intense than the first book!
What I didn't love: Kind of a rant. haha.
Sadie's attitude- She kept being a total b**ch.
I'm pretty sure I am not the only one who felt this way...
There were many scenes where I thought Sadie should have been more forgiving but no she wanted everyone to pity her and put the blame all on West.
One scene I HATED in this book was when she visited the A-hole and West comes to save her but (in the way I saw it) she says to him "WTF are you doing here I didnt ask you to come save me, I could have fought him myself I dont need you here" YEAHHHH NOO I DONT THINK SO SADIE, STOP BEING SUCH A B**CH. And she was constantly like "West do you really love me", "Really? I dont think so", "Are you sure", "I've been tainted I dont think you love me anymore I dont deserve to be beside you" PUHLEASE. WOMAN. GET YOUR SH*T TOGETHER. GET IT TOGETHER.
Okay that was the only thing I loathed in this book (which is why it is 3 stars instead of 5)but I am so glad that Nick was introduced in this book because he is a really interesting character and I love him already.
I am hoping that after Hot Theo or Nick's story would come after! I cannot wait for Grady and Rue's story I will be looking forward to it! Love you Stacy keep writing!! :)

After being left suspended by one finger on a cliff Stacey Kestwick saved us. Her first book Wet captivated me, and Soaked captured and repaired my broken heart.
Sadie leaves West and their broken relationship behind to find and heal herself to work with Grady on a new resort. She gets more than she bargains for when her flirty seat mate on the plane turns out to be the second photographer for the job.
West is back home yet she still sees him everywhere. He's ingrained in her heart and soul and vice versa. Everyday a new paper plane appears with her breakfast not allowing him to stray too far from her thoughts.
This is the perfect conclusion to their story. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author as she's burrowed her way into my heart with her words.
This cranky reviewer will be recommending this series to every one of her book friends.

2 1/2 stars. With as much as I liked 'Wet', I thought for sure I'd be head over heels for 'Soaked'. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. This follow up to 'Wet' was OK, and I'm certainly NOT sorry I read it. It's just that I was disappointed that my hunk of salty goodness- West, went from being salty, sexy, playful, and fun ( in Wet), to some whacked out neanderthal (Me, West. You, mine!). He didn't "feel" like the same character to me. And don't get me started on the whole Aubrey situation. Sure, he FINALLY got it at the end, and told Aubrey to take a hike, but that doesn't negate the fact that no one is that utterly clueless and he should've told that clingy shrew to skip on eons ago - (regardless of Sadie not sharing the underhanded crap that Aubrey was doing. Gah!) . Combine that with his lack of sweet and fun, and insert all the chest thumping and pissy possessive attitude and incessant spewing of "YOU'RE MINE", and he just didn't feel like the West from Wet. And Sadie...! Sadie, Sadie, Sadie... thou art daft! Still, loved Rue & Grady. Lovin' on Theo. Adore Hailey. I hope they all get books.
ALSO: I was extremely put off by the fact that Sadie was BLONDE in 'Soaked' when I could swear she was "brunette" in 'Wet'. *scratches head*

Sadie is my new hero!
After reading Wet and falling in love with Stacey Kestwick's writing, I couldn’t wait to get ahold of Soaked. She writes amazingly real characters that pull every emotion out of you.
At the end of Wet we're left hanging off a cliff by one finger gasping for air. Soaked picks up right at that point. Sadie is done with West. She can't believe how much her heart hurts as she was so sure West was the "real deal". She takes off to help her friend with promotional photos for a new resort and hopefully find the distance she needs to heal. But, will West give up so easily?
I was glued to my e-reader with this book. Stacey's writing style is amazing and puts you right there with Sadie and West. I felt every emotion and even felt like I was there at the beach with them.
I highly recommend this series to all of my book friends and suggest that you one click them today.

I devoured this book in a day. I was a little mad at the ending of Wet, but this book more than made up for it. I loved West before, but in Soaked, he was amazing. Dedicated, romantic, and alpha hot as hell. It was great to see Sadie grow and come into her own, and watch West fight like hell for the woman he loved. I'll never look at a donut or paper airplane without thinking of these two. Great writing, tons of hotness, and a fabulous read!

Immergersi è il capitolo conclusivo della dilogia che ci parla di Sadie e West facente parte della Water’s Edge Series di Stacy Kestwick. E per arrivare a questo agognato finale vi assicuro che la strada sarà lunga e insidiosa.
Sadie è alla vigilia della partenza, sta per andare a Grand Cayman dove finalmente potrà dare sfogo alla sua vena creativa, fare la fotografa è la sua aspirazione e nonostante il cataclisma che si è appena abbattuto su di lei deve rimanere concentrata e pensare finalmente solo a se stessa tenendo lontano il genere maschile e un certo surfista in particolare, West appunto.
‘La testa mi metteva in guardia, il cuore voleva che tornassi da lui, rifiutando di arrendersi.’
West è esausto e demoralizzato, dopo una giornata di pesca sulla sua amata barca, la Vitamin Sea non vede l’ora di passare l’ultima serata con Sadie, partirà per tre lunghe settimane e la consapevolezza di provare dei sentimenti per lei è più forte del suo rifiuto. Lei sta ignorando tutte le sue chiamate e trovarsela avvinghiata ad un altro uomo in una discoteca fa accrescere tutte le sue paure più recondite ma gli fa anche capire quanto è importante per lui. Finalmente riuscirà a trovare la forza di fare qualcosa. Lei è sua e di nessun altro!
‘Tutto ciò che sapevo era che quando si trattava di lei ne volevo sempre di più. Volevo tutto.’
La storia si fa complicata, il nervosismo rimastoci addosso con l’ultima pagina del primo libro si ripresenta subito all’inizio del secondo libro, con il prologo tutto dal punto di vista di West.
I suoi gesti improvvisi e incredibilmente romantici accompagnano Sadie anche nel suo viaggio di lavoro incasinandole la testa, rafforzando la sua ferma convinzione di stare alla larga dal tornado West.
La loro chimica è sempre più palpabile e il sesso riparatore per loro è sempre più sexy e peccaminoso.
Ritroviamo una Sadie più forte e risoluta, arrabbiata ma sempre più consapevole del suo amore per West, ma gli intoppi che erano di casa nel primo capitolo non sono finiti. Non bastando l'intromissione di quella carogna di Aubrey tra loro, Sadie si troverà a collaborare con un fotografo famoso di nome Nick che con un servizio boudoir molto osé la metterà letteralmente nei guai.
Ritorna il clima sexy e scanzonato della scrittura di Stacy, ritornano le sfortune di Sadie e i misteri di West che però hanno i minuti contati perché il loro amore va molto aldilà di un’avventura estiva e finalmente li travolgerà.
‘Non puoi far finta che l’oceano non esista. È troppo grande per essere ignorato. Come noi.’
Il revenge porn è un argomento importante in questa parte della narrazione e la scrittrice si prende tutto il tempo per affrontarlo in modo serio ma con quell’accento irriverente che solo quella matta di Sadie può dare.
Come avevo scritto nella recensione del primo libro volevo il pov di West, aveva tanto da rivelarci e il prologo mi aveva fatto ben sperare, purtroppo durante la narrazione il pov di Sadie è stato predominante.
È comunque una buona prestazione quella di questa nuova scrittrice, questa dilogia mi ha regalato spensieratezza, momenti di incredibile divertimento, romanticismo al punto giusto e quella giusta dose di argomenti seri per farci rimanere con i piedi per terra.
Aspetto la storia di quel vulcano dell’amica di Sadie, Rue e di Grady, hanno un passato da raccontare e un futuro da costruire.
Riconfermo le 4 stelle, molto meno stringare questa volta e vi consiglio di tornare all’estate, alle vacanze e di vivere con Sadie e West un amore unico e indimenticabile.

recensione "a cura del blog Libri magnetici" by Meghan
Cari Magnetici, finalmente e per mia totale colpa di tempo, sono riuscita a leggere il seguito di questa coppia, che non mi aveva del tutto convinto.
Devo subito dirvi che questo secondo e finale capitolo è molto diverso, sia per lo spessore dei personaggi che per l’evoluzione della storia.
Le indecisioni di Sadie, così come il suo atteggiamento diffidente ci spingono a capirla perché percepiamo (e finalmente!) che dietro c’è ben altro.
«Eppure, mi sentivo schiacciata. In frantumi, rotta, tradita. Ma non distrutta. Ero troppo cocciuta per lasciare che un ragazzo mi rovinasse la vita completamente di nuovo.»
Infatti nel corso della storia viene trattato il tema del sex-revenge e di quanto abbia distrutto la vita di Sadie, al punto da cambiare città e farla diventare diffidente verso tutto e tutti. Tutte le sue insicurezze, il suo continuo voler dimostrare a se stessa di essere bella e desiderata, il non voler mai cedere a West emotivamente, la stanno distruggendo: quando decide di “immergersi” e lasciarsi andare invece di provare gioia, soffre moltissimo, proprio perché fili invisibili la legano ancora alle ferite del suo passato.
«Lo amavo. Sul serio. Ma allo stesso tempo mi spaventava. Non volevo essere ferita di nuovo. E’ possibile amare senza correre rischi? Non penso. »
Anche West è molto diverso, in questo secondo capitolo: determinato a conquistare Sadie con il suo amore, la cerca continuamente, non solo dichiarandole fin da subito il suo amore ma soprattutto aspettandola.
«E l’avrei amata. L’avrei amata ogni giorno fono a che lei me lo avesse permesso. Mi rilassai, sapendo che avrei trovato la mia pace con lei. Dopo tutto quello che era successo nelle scorse tre settimane, eravamo finalmente stabili. Lei era lì ed era mia. Finalmente credeva in me. In noi. »
Il loro è un salvarsi a vicenda da due solitudini diverse, è un credere di nuovo all’amore e fidarsi dell’altro, è una vittoria per entrambi.
Anche se il POV di West è in soli due capitoli, la storia è comunque completa poiché attraverso Sadie riusciamo a capire tutte le azioni e i sentimenti che lui prova.
L’attrazione fisica tra i due è sempre molto forte, lo stile dell’autrice molto diretto ed approfondito sulle scene “hot”, ma più coinvolgente rispetto al primo volume.
E’ una storia da leggere questa, sia per chi ha letto il primo volume, sia tutta la duologia perché ci mostra che le vittime di vendette sessuali in rete non devono subire né colpevolizzarsi, poiché sono i carnefici i veri responsabili.

Cari Magnetici, finalmente e per mia totale colpa di tempo, sono riuscita a leggere il seguito di questa coppia, che non mi aveva del tutto convinto.

Tutte le sue insicurezze, il suo continuo voler dimostrare a se stessa di essere bella e desiderata, il non voler mai cedere a West emotivamente, la stanno distruggendo: quando decide di “immergersi” e lasciarsi andare invece di provare gioia, soffre moltissimo, proprio perché fili invisibili la legano ancora alle ferite del suo passato.
«Lo amavo. Sul serio. Ma allo stesso tempo mi spaventava. Non volevo essere ferita di nuovo. E’ possibile amare senza correre rischi? Non penso. »
Anche West è molto diverso, in questo secondo capitolo: determinato a conquistare Sadie con il suo amore, la cerca continuamente, non solo dichiarandole fin da subito il suo amore ma soprattutto aspettandola.
«E l’avrei amata. L’avrei amata ogni giorno fono a che lei me lo avesse permesso. Mi rilassai, sapendo che avrei trovato la mia pace con lei. Dopo tutto quello che era successo nelle scorse tre settimane, eravamo finalmente stabili. Lei era lì ed era mia. Finalmente credeva in me. In noi. »
Il loro è un salvarsi a vicenda da due solitudini diverse, è un credere di nuovo all’amore e fidarsi dell’altro, è una vittoria per entrambi.
Anche se il POV di West è in soli due capitoli, la storia è comunque completa poiché attraverso Sadie riusciamo a capire tutte le azioni e i sentimenti che lui prova.
L’attrazione fisica tra i due è sempre molto forte, lo stile dell’autrice molto diretto ed approfondito sulle scene “hot”, ma più coinvolgente rispetto al primo volume.
E’ una storia da leggere questa, sia per chi ha letto il primo volume, sia tutta la duologia perché ci mostra che le vittime di vendette sessuali in rete non devono subire né colpevolizzarsi, poiché sono i carnefici i veri responsabili.

Immergersi è il capitolo conclusivo della dilogia che ci parla di Sadie e West facente parte della Water’s Edge Series di Stacy Kestwick. E per arrivare a questo agognato finale vi assicuro che la strada sarà lunga e insidiosa.
Sadie è alla vigilia della partenza, sta per andare a Grand Cayman dove finalmente potrà dare sfogo alla sua vena creativa: fare la fotografa è la sua aspirazione e nonostante il cataclisma che si è appena abbattuto su di lei deve rimanere concentrata e pensare finalmente solo a se stessa tenendo lontano il genere maschile e un certo surfista in particolare, West appunto.

I really liked this book, maybe even more than the first one. Lol. It’s been awhile since I read Wet (Sorry, life and ARCs got in the way of reading this right after) and was nice getting back to West’s and Sadie’s story.
Things really seem to have taken a turn, huh? Trouble in paradise?
*** I met his eyes with my own, knowing he could see the tears pooling. “I’m yours. But you don’t feel like mine.”
***I couldn’t find my way back to him until I sorted through the broken pieces inside me and reassembled myself. Separated the anger and the hurt from the embarrassment and the pain. Gave hope and truth a chance to repair the foundation and see if it was still strong enough for love to stand on, or if the damage was already irreversible.
Yep, I’d say there’s some trouble. And her name is Aubrey. Oh, that girl! I wanted to smack her myself. Lol! She’s trouble, and sneaky, and conniving. Just the kind of drama a good book needs. And she really fulfilled her role well.
But, she couldn’t deter West. Nope, he’s a man on a mission and Sadie is set in his sights.
He’s swoony, sweet, and oh so sexy. A perfect book boyfriend.
***“Sadie, you’re not listening to me. You’ve blinded me to everyone else. I’m yours. Only yours. For as long as you’ll have me.” His hand cupped my neck, thumb settling over my pulse running wild at the base. “I love you.”
And Rue and Grady, I love them. They need their own book! Seriously, Rue is a great best friend. Love her. She takes no prisoners and really stands up with Sadie when she needs her. Gotta have great side characters and I adore these two.
Good summer read..make sure to read Wet first though. ;)

Praticamente da dove li abbiamo lasciati si ricomincia, il filo è sequenziale e la scrittura sempre descrittiva e veloce. Stacy Kestwick ha avuto su di me una leggera forza attrattiva con le parole, è riuscita a farmi appassionare a questa dolce, ma anche divertente, storia d’amore. Ho apprezzato che i cerchi aperti nel primo libro si chiudessero e che il legame tra i protagonisti che nel primo si era intravisto e su cui avevo fantasticato si intensificasse e si rafforzasse nonostante i litigi e le distanze.
Belli anche i personaggi secondari che comunque hanno dato profondità al romanzo, meno carismatica però è stata nel suo complesso la storia.
Nel primo volume non avevo avvertito troppo la mancanza di qualche dramma, probabilmente perché il finale lasciava comunque con grandi punti interrogativi, ma in questo secondo libro ho trovato la trama abbastanza piatta e mi è dispiaciuto.
Seppur la storia, non l’ho mai negato, è un romance puro e dolce speravo in qualche “drammuccio” per scaricare la tensione, ma ciò che invece è successo è stato prevedibile.
In sintesi, la storia di Sadie e West mi è piaciuta però avrei preferito leggerli in un solo volume tagliando alcune parti che ritengo superficiali e non utili agli svolgimenti della trama.
Il punto forte di questo secondo volume è senza ombra di dubbio il rapporto viscerale tra Sadie e West. Un legame intenso, capace di annientare qualsiasi altra cosa.

This is the book after a killer cliffhanger. And I loved the way the heroine dealt with what she saw. I would have done the same thing. I was basically reading this to see how the hero would redeem himself.
And did he you may ask?
In my opinion NOT ENOUGH. You see, when an entire book is based on the fact that a hero is bad communicator and doesn't see how much his being around another woman is hurting the one he's supposedly wants, he's a tool. And when the heroine doesn't explain to the hero all the messed up shit the ex says or does, then we have a big ugly hurtful situation.
Even in the end at the gala, he stayed around that bitch? Nah man. The fact that he finally explains to her the situation between himself and the ex bitch, it seems to be too little too late. I did however get some satisfaction upon hearing him finally tell her off, I found that the sex immediately after was unrealistic though. After everything the heroine put up with, I felt as though she would have needed a little breather to let everything sink in before humping him.
It was a bittersweet HEA in my opinion. I guess I hold a grudge longer than the heroine in this book.

Okay. -deep sigh- While I gave an extra star to the first book for hidden potential, this one... ugh. It went down the hill from the start of the book. While I was still able to look away from few meh things in first book, here it got so annoying I just couldn't anymore. The way Sadie acts every time she gets into a fight (or jealousy fit) with West, or everytime West is so dumb and do not get how his actions with his ex makes Sadie feel... And some times just simple talk could resolve so many things. I guess it was still a quick read and it's not like I regret reading it, but it was a bit on a meh side, sadly. I wish we could have gotten to know Sadie and West more and if we had a bit less of some silly drama - it might have been better. 2.5 stars? Maybe 3 if I am being extra generous.

This is the second book in the series and we got to pick up with a chapter from West. We had a few from him in the first book as well, although mostly it was from Sadie’s point of view, as this one was mostly as well. It really helped having West’s chapter. It made what happened at the end of book one make sense, in a way I had wondered about when I read it. Now, while I gave book one 5 stars, book two only gets 4 stars because of how Sadie kept not giving West a chance, and not realizing that Aubrey was in it for herself. That always irritates the crap out of me. But, West made up for it. And you’ll totally fall in love with him! We get our HEA at the end of book two, and it’s totally worth it. This book had more drama though, not all having to do with West, some with Sadie’s past, and that was crazy!
Loved the series overall, and can only hope the author will write more books for me to read soon, maybe even a story for a couple of characters in this book, Rue and Boone? Or Theo?

Ok, series wise this was a yes for me. The side characters were set up perfectly and made me want to keep reading. As for these two books being the same couple though, I really do think it was a bit much. Their miscommunications and drama could've easily been narrowed down to one book and then saved the second book for one of the other couples that I can't wait to read about.
