“…and the green grass grows all around all-around” lyrics by Robert D. Singleton

I have to admit that I chose my grass before reading the book. However, this book is going to help me justify and keep my choice.

There are plenty of books out there with theories and pretty pictures worthy of any coffee table. Well, this book also has pretty pictures but also practical charts on watering feeding, and pest control. So far I have failed to control my pesky cats (oh pests.) But all the other pests are under control.

I am still learning the ins and outs of Texas lawns. But with horticulturist Steve Dobbs’ book in hand, I will triumph.
