HE’LL PUT THE FEAR OF GOD IN YOU!

The year is 1863.
The country is torn by civil war.
Nine year old Winny finds himself in the midst of the historic battle of Gettysburg.
As the battle winds down, he is captured by a group of Confederates fleeing the battlefield.
Soon, he is joined by two fellow captives. A Union soldier and a chaplain.
Unfortunately, both for Winny and the Confederates, this chaplain is anything but an ordinary military preacher.
He carries with him a dark secret that will put the fear of God in them all.

About the author

David Wayne Coons Jr (or just Dave) has been an aspiring author since the late 1990s, when he was a high school student in Jerome, Idaho. He wrote several short stories during those years and had a minor group of peers who were fans. Since that time, he has been serving diligently in the United States Navy and has never found the time to complete any other writing projects of significance. However, story ideas have consistently haunted him over the years - writhing in his mind with an unyielding anticipation to be brought into the world through the magic of the written word. In January 2015, he finally made time to sit down and write, giving birth to a particularly nasty story in the form of a novelette entitled "By The Hour". The completion of that novelette has set him on the path to freeing the other lyrical specters from his conscience and he is now pursuing his writings with vigor. He has since released a novella entitled Chaplain and his first full-length novel, Arte Blanche. He is currently hard at work on his next novel, Sixteen Years Ago. Interesting read

Kept me hooked from the start. Well thought out view of humans being the real monsters- when darkness lives within them.
