Linden is a nursing student who needs money for her father's medical treatments pretty badly. She's offered a job by Domonick Carter, head of the local Motorcycle Club, Hell's Ransom and all around criminal. She's both repulsed and attracted to Domonick and he just can't wait to "get his dick wet" with Linden, since she's a little spitfire. But the more he spends time with Linden, the more he realizes she's the one, but she's just too good for him. Then, he finds out that she's being threatened and the only way to protect her is to push her away. But when she shows up pregnant, he's gotta change his plans.

This had a shit-ton of misogony. Wow. Women are either innocents, like Linden, family (old lady) like her sister Rosie or sluts/whores or furniture - basically everyone else who walks into the bar. The sluts/whores/furniture exist solely for the sexual pleasure of the men in the club. They have no other function. And of course once a woman walks into a bar she's fair game whether she's willing or not. And Linden is nearly raped because of this lovely rule. But those rules don't apply if you're a guy. And of course the only job available for women is to either strip for money or fuck for money. Linden just lucks into being a getaway driver. Which gets me to that subject: for a good girl, she's kind of morally corrupt. I get it that she needs money for her father, but she agrees to participate in arms dealing without actually thinking about the fact that because of her actions, even more people are likely to die. Maybe these guns would have been transported with or without her, but now she's a part of the problem. And Dom's excuse that the guns only kill people that need to be killed is kind of bullshit. But she doesn't call him on that. In fact, Linden is a bit of a doormat when it comes to Dom. She's supposedly this spitfire who argues and yells at him all the time, but when it comes down to it, she's a big old welcome mat (and not so bright about it either). She doesn't hold it against him that he hooks up with other women while they're getting to know each other. She COMPLETELY forgives him when he accuses her of whoring herself, asks who the father of her child is and for totally breaking her heart. She forgives him in less than 10 minutes for all of that because she's so desperate for him. Then she takes a reputed manwhore (supported by visual evidence) to bed and has unprotected sex with him. Linden has no self-respect. Case in point:

"In fact, I did something very stupid while I was pushing you away."

"Another woman? I asked. He shook his head. "Women? If it is, don't worry about it. I forgive you, let's just start from scratch and move forward."

And Dom... He's a piece of work. He is a criminal - he deals drugs, runs guns, kills people, participates in jail breaks - total anarchy. And he's willing to allow a woman to be raped in his bar (as evidenced by his initial reaction when Linden was about to be raped). He also sees women as responsible for making sure he comes. He walks through his club grabbing women by the elbow and then making them suck him off and offers nothing in return. Then he has the gall to consider himself "considerate about getting a woman off when I felt like it ." Even after he's been kissing Linden and considers himself in love with her, he still hooks up with these women. And Linden even walks in on him. Twice. But that doesn't seem to affect how much she wants him...which is unfathomable to me. When a Hero engages in sexual behavior that is totally disrespectful to women, it lessens his appeal.

I will say that this is my first full on Motorcycle club story. I'm guessing I'm not cut out for the world of biker gangs, their criminal activities and the women who think it's hot to date a guy who kills people for a living. Maybe this was the wrong story to start out with. I liked aspects of the story - the sex was certainly hot. But overall this was just not for me.

Spoiler alert: but it's more toward the bottom:

I could not even finish this book. A lot of the characters were so stereotypical and a myriad of the lines were cliche. What I also really hates about this story was about how degraded all the women were, Linden included. It made self-worth based on how sexually active you were and if you were a lot then you were considered "cheap" or a "slut." But, of course, the men that loved a ton of sex and stuff were never called whores, sluts, or any bad names because it's just "natural" for them to love sex, but not for women because they should be pure and innocent, and they are cheap and looked down upon if they are not, which basically was the message this book was giving off. This story had so many sexist characters in it and the ideas were too. Also, apparently just because you are a slut or whore or stripper, it's okay to rape you. Rape is apparently, although a horrible and awful thing to do, it is not considered that bad in this story or even a crime really. It doesn't matter that she walks in to the club. It's terrible that the guys just think that they can just rape girls that come in to the place just because they are girls, which agains supports rape culture and objectification of women. And I know that they are criminals and everything, but she shouldn't be as a okay with what happened as she was. I would have told the police that I was assaulted, molested, and almost raped. It doesn't matter if she already participated in illegal activity, and Dom should have done more and been okay with sending their asses to jail but of course he thinks that rape isn't that bad either and it's okay if they are whores too, which just makes Linden's character stupid and awful for wanting to be with a guy like that. The writing also wasn't that great

Narration: multiple
Sex: lots
Writing: good
Rating: 4 stars
Violence: yes lots (shootings, almost rape etc)

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. It did have a couple of moments where I rolled my eyes at the cheese factor but I still liked it never less.

The writing was good and the book flowed well. I stayed up late to finish because I wanted to know what happened. I would definitely read other books by this author.

DOM AND LINDEN

Pretty good story, though not believable for a motorcycle club. There was action, suspense and romance but some of the situations seemed incomplete and rushed. Also, even though I can read around grammatical errors, the use of incorrect words were difficult at times. I will read another book by this author, but hope she finds a good editor.

Not read

This book will take you on a wild ride full of excitement, drama, sexiness and one happily ever after! Dom is one bad a$$, not alpha and also President of a motorcycle club. Linden is a sweet, caring, nurturing woman who is trying to make it through nursing school and help take care of her father. Dom and Linden meet by chance and there is this immediate connection and attraction. Their story is sure to draw you in for the very beginning and not let you go till you read the last word! A definite must read!

This has it all

I'm a total sucker for a bad boy book at the best of times and from time to time you come across one that just is a cut above the rest. This is one such book.

It's got it all. Action, lust, love, danger teamed up with a hunky hero and a wilfully woman.

Dont flip past this book. I promise it's well worth the time taken to read it.

Honestly, this one wasn't too shabby, though for some reason when Linden was by herself and not with Dom, she annoyed the ever loving shit out of me. I almost called it quits several times, but fortunately she seemed to morph into a different person when she was with Dom, so I was able to handle her. Overall a good book - I liked most of the story and the characters, though one issue I had? It seemed like the author was asking, "How many motor vehicle accidents can this chick get in before the end of the book?" Let's see, shall we? For real. Pick a new struggle.

Ok opposites attract biker romance but sadly far too many little errors spoil the book - 3 stars

A Baby for the Bad Boy was my first book by Olivia Long and Olivia Hawthorn but the blurb sucked me in as I love a good secret baby romance. However, as much as I enjoyed the book overall, didn’t quite hit everything for me and I would only give this book 3 stars.

Told from dual points of views, we are introduced instantly to both Linden and Dominick and I really liked how instant their story started; there was no slow buildup just straight in but it worked really well, a credit to the way the authors wrote the book. The attraction between the two characters was instant with a clear chemistry, despite being so opposites with Dominick a typical biker and Linden an innocent young woman. As the book progressed, I found some scenes with Dominick a little uncomfortable and felt they undermined his feelings for Linden. I understand the thing about showing Dominick as this tough, typical MC president and how he changed after meeting Linden but like I say, it just felt a little undermining of his feelings and the development of his relationship with Linden and being blunt, wrong. That being said, putting the odd moments I didn’t like aside, I did actually like how the characters’ relationship was allowed to build at a steady-ish pace to give some foundation before things actually get anymore serious and how the warring emotions are shown from both characters. The HEA & Epilogue (which was longer than just an epilogue chapter) obviously rounded off the story and leaves the romantic side of you with a smile.

The book is reasonably well written but there are lots of little spelling/grammatical errors throughout the whole book that spoilt things for me; it felt like it could have done with a final editing before being uploaded. They aren’t major things but when you pay for a book, sometimes it’s the small little details that can make a book great.

If I ignore the little errors, the book was a solid book that had a clear plot and HEA ending to tie up Linden and Dominick’s story. The books moved at a steady to fast pace and can truly be read as a standalone. Also, while there is some violence within the book, none of it is too graphic, more just gritty, so if you can handle a little squeamish talk, you will be fine with this book.

Overall, I’m glad I read this book and if I ignore the little errors, it wasn’t a bad book, just needs a little more tidying up because the errors really spoilt a book I really hoped I would thoroughly enjoy.

I absolutely loved this book.

We start off by meeting 22 year old nursing student Linden Walker who has so much responsibility on her shoulders for such a young person. Linden is doing everything she can to help her family out and get the treatment her dad badly needs to treat his Parkinson's.

She has to go looking for her younger sister which leads her to a biker bar. Linden finds the bar empty and just as she is leaving she bumps into leader of the MC club Dominick "Dom" Carter.

Linden knows that Dom is dangerous and bad but she also can't deny the feeling of butterflies she gets when she sees him. He also knows that he is the one person that can help her. Dom knows that she can audition for a dancing job at the club.

Dom is attracted to Linden and risks everything by bringing her into his life. Dom has it all he's loaded,he can pick and choose between which woman he wants to have fun with and not to mention he's a nice bit of eye candy.

I loved the chemistry between Linden and Dom and how he will do anything to protect his girl.

Olivia Hawthorne knew what she was doing when she gave us the Carter bros! I love me some Linden and Dom!! I couldn't get enough of them in the serial. This full novel was just what I needed for my fix! But, like an addict I need more! Seriously, I wouldn't mind reading more of these two! I loved how there was nothing Dom wouldn't do for his woman and how he wanted to be there for her no matter what. A beautiful ending to a crazy passionate love story! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

2.5 STARS! This was just an ok story for me. As I was reading the story I found a lot of the situations the characters were in to be extremely far fetched, but hey this is a fictional story about fictional people so anything can happen right? The name of the book let's you know just what to expect with this MC story - hot sexy biker meets the hot sexy virgin, they hook up and she has his baby. With this story you're going to get some drama, a few rude and crude biker members, retaliation from a couple of gangs, sexy scenes and a happily ever after.

Well , I really liked Dom and Linden.
Talk about a bad boy..lol...he could be bad as he wants and I really liked him. The story was fun and fast.
Olivia delivered a believable hero/heroine. There was quite a bit of killing going on. The action was good, but the action was a little less believable, as there was a high body count .
But this book is fiction and it was entertaining and that is what it is about.

I really loved this book. Dominick and Linden are opposites who probably never should have been together, except for a twist of fate and an unlikely meeting. Despite the many obstacles in their way they keep finding their way back to each other because that's where they belong. Add in some hot steamy sex, some action and violence and it was a great story. I can't wait to read about the other Carter brothers.

This was an odd, weird little read. Not really a biker book more like a wannabe biker book, not a great romance book either. The characters just read flat to me. No connection with them, tons of suspended belief throughout this book. Epilogue then several chapters after the epilogue...weird right?! All in all the only words that come to mind about this book is odd and weird. That sums this read up for me. Forced myself to finish.! Not a fan... boo!!!

A few too many gunshot wounds, I think the focus on the beard was a little much. The story line was good and I really enjoyed that, which means I can overlook some of the things I didn't like as much. They totally forgot about birth control in the heat of the moment, which I totally missed that they did that until oops she's pregnant. However, I expected that due to the title of the book.

Overall it's a good read.

Gotta love all the MC craziness

Dom and Linden were total opposites that met at a chance meeting when Linden was looking for her sister at a motorcycle club compound. Instant attraction for them both. Lots of drama and lots of crazy motorcycle club "business" that created lots of danger for all. Plenty of dirty talkin from Dom and lots of really hot sex made it a good read.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book, don't usually go for biker type books but the reviews on this was good so it had me intrigued. Good girl turns big bad biker man good. Didn't take to Dominick at first he was just a bully and a man whore, didn't think that he would have been redeemable. But sweet innocent Linden managed to win him and his heart.

Not for me

For me the reviews where so misleading. Firstly not use why the author named the book A baby for the bad Boy, because the baby was towards the end of the book and wasn't a major part of the story line.

I found the story line weak, the characters childish and this should have been free.

Don't bother to read it.

It pains me to say that this story just kept making me extremely frustrated. One of my biggest pet hates is a weak female lead. And although Dom referred to Linden as his 'little spitfire'.. there was no spit or fire about her. Although I did find her intentions admirable. She just seemed to be missing her backbone.

Overall the story just fell a bit flat for me.

Inevitable

Girl meets boy and boy ditches girl for her own good. Then boy can't live without her. I wondered why the author didn't make Dom stay with the gang. He could have had his cake and eat it too. She still could have became a doctor and they would have had protection.

Interesting how all these books have titles like 'A Baby for the Bad Boy' and the actual baby character only gets mentioned like half way through the book.
Must say wise choice on trimming the beard right down, personally not a facial hair fan, kids are sticky and they love to pull hair.
