This is a two part book. The book does divide at a transitional doing point. We do find out where Sakura had been and what she has been up to. We also get a good look at her life before the Princeton's. We do find out more information about her parents also. Really love the play between the brothers and the new characters.

Nice Sweet Read

This was a nice installment to the first book. Sakura is pretty much an angel who's nice, loving, too considerate to others, and has the heart of two seemingly amazing man and love of her adopted family. The twist added into the storyline and the epilogue makes you want to continue reading just to find out what happens next. But at last we need to wait on the next installment. If you want an innocent and nice romance novel then this would be it. Although I am used to reading romance with much more interaction between the main characters that makes the room hot, the lack of with this series thus far hasn't been an issue. It is nice to occasionally read pure innocent love romance novels.

Urgh, Seb is a wonderful man but so pushy! Ever since the beginning you could tell that if he had left things well enough alone he wouldn't even be in the picture.

Sakura and Darcy are soulmates. They gravitate towards each other naturally and without any effort on either part. Those two better end up together after many obstacles - Seb being one of them. Otherwise I'll boycott this author!!!!!

Had me hooked once again. This RH book has everything you could possibly want in a romance: emotion, drama, revelations, swoonworthy guys and more. I can practically smell the cherry blossom trees that are a major theme as well as being the transalation of our protagonist's Japanese name, Sakura.
In this second book Sakura finally finds her birth mother and decides to stop running away from the Princeton brothers and her adoptive parents. As ever, they are there for her in her time of need.
But she still has to choose between Darcy and Sebastian. Difficult indeed, given that Sakura loves them both!
How long will it take Sakura to realise that her birth father has been there for her the whole time though they both didn't know it. That's what we've got to look forward to in the last book in the trilogy. Couldn't find it anywhere then discovered it will be out in July. Can't wait!!!

*I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*

After a year in hiding in New York, Sakura Tanaka, has successfully bloomed her painting business in Soho. But by her unfortunate luck or maybe it's fate, she is reunited with her 7 adopted Princeton brothers when she attended Tachibana's Designer Fashion Show in hopes of a glimpse of her biological mother.

In this installment, we meet some lovely new faces, Tachibana-sensei, Ms. Ruka, Jane, Sosuke, Akira and Lady Haruka Tanaka/Suzuki as well as some old faces, Tara, , Ned, Beth, James, Brenda and darling Toby. Who could forget that little fluff-ball of cuteness! There are more flashbacks and memories of the character's past drawing you further into their story.

I loved It was very emotional and heartfelt. The budding romance between added nice touches to romance outside of Sakura's life.

I love the play on the title. It is not the kind of proposal I had in mind - not the marriage kind but the business kind. And both business proposals were offered with hidden agendas and with ulterior motives. Nice work, Alexia!

There are two major plot twists I did not see coming

I feel Sakura has more interaction and bonding moments with Sebastian. I feel scenes were more heavily leaned in favour of Sebastian. I missed the 50/50-ness of Sakura-Sebastian and Sakura-Darcy moments from the first installment.. hopefully it goes back to somewhat of a 50/50 in the last intallment of Sakura's tale. I am still crossing my fingers for Darcy. Go Darcy!

Also, in this installment, there are more grammatical and detail errors. Hopefully they are caught and fixed in the final published version.

I can't wait for the photoshoot in Hawaii. Can't wait to see what trouble and mischief Sakura will get herself into this time and of course, the sweet ending to Sakura-Darcy love story (I can dream).

Don't keep us waiting for too long, Alexia!

What to say.

I don't even know where to begin. I started the first book in this series yesterday, I was just quitting on a book that had like 4.75 stars and hundreds of ratings and I couldn't finish that crappy book. Then I started reading these little gems that didn't have high very many reviews, and in my opinion rather low stars. I was not expecting to love these, I wasn't even 100% sure I would finish it, since I've been in a reading rut, but fall in love I did. Alexias writing style isn't something I have ever experienced, you are in everyones head all the time. Its kind of confusing, just embrace it and go with the flow. Just about every paragraph is someone else's thoughts, just a heads up. Honestly this review is going to be a over because my mind is racing. I have a love hate relationship with just about every character in this book. They irritate me to be completely frank, but I love them too. I soooo wish this book didn't just come out. I hate waiting, and I am dying for the next one. Normally I probably would have given this 4 stars for the abrupt ending alone. This book just kinda stops, that's a pet peeve of mine. This was like half a book. So if that's a problem for you just wait till the next one comes. It also bugged me that her biological dad didn't figure it out when he told her the name of her mother, like seriously. I really hope that gets fixed in the next book. There are some other little parts that make me feel like these people are idiots. Darce and seb come on guys, I feel like this is really drawn out foreplay and I'm at the point where its like "OKAY LETS GET GOING ALREADY" I'm ready for them to all be together. To get their shit together and just make it work. Darce and his my poor heart Boohoo come on dude. Sakura and how pretty much every female hates her and wants to be her. Dude call the cops girl, come on now that first book was seriously like CALL THE POLICE. Once you get past the "seriously, none of this would have happened" and embrace that these are great. I'm excited for the next one. I seriously hope Sakura turns kick ass and actually takes care of herself. Darce needs to grow a pair. Seb you didn't really bug me this book. Other brothers, just I don't even know. I need the third book like now. I need the brothers to actually protect her and not be all " oh my sister blah blah blah" no man up, they are psychos duh. I am emotionally invested in these characters and I so hope they don't let me down. For that reason alone this got 5 stars, the hope of an amazing third book, where finally Sakura gets her HEA with Darce AND Sebastian.

I liked the first book but this one almost lost me at the beginning. I do not care for the old story about characters barely missing each other & seeing each other but not recognizing each other. It happened too much and it drew out the story unnecessarily. Also, I thought the story was going to be an RH but now it seems like a love triangle which I hate. It seems like she is going to have to choose one at the end and I don't like that. I like both Darcy and Seb equally and I could not imagine her breaking one of their hearts. And it seems like the rest of the siblings moved on rather quickly from their previous infatuation as well.

I really loved The Sakura Trilogy series. Whenever I read these books from the start, I don't get bored. I feel like I'm reading them for the first time. And I actually enjoyed. At first I thought Sakura will choose Darcy, but she did the unexpected (No spoilers). And I loved the end. I would love to read a story between Sosuke and Jane (If you ever plan to write a book in the future). Those were my favorite supporting characters. This was really the best roller-coaster ride for me. You're truly a beautiful author with beautiful writing skills.

I don’t know... it’s really not bad, but I feel like not much happened.
They chase her, they find her end of story.
The contact lenses and the blond hair put me off too. That just seems weird. She’s supposed to be an exotic beauty, not a drag queen.

And yet again the author adds a guy who fancies her but once more it’s just the two dudes from the beginning. If you’re going to stick to just these two, no need to add ever more people to fall for her...

The really good part though is about her biological mother, I loved those scenes!

Oh god. Book 1 was so amazing and then book 2 went downhill. What happened? WHAT HAPPENED? Did Sakura get hit by the head and suddenly forget how to put two and two together? Everything she did was just so stupid and the plot! God. I can't even deal with this. I keep hoping after every chapter that somehow the heroine from book 1 would finally be back but no, it was a mistake to even continue reading.

I like how the plot develop & twist.. feel like in the end, people around us do have connections among though most of the time, we just not realize it. As for the knight for Sakura, I am still on Sebastian Princeton side.

This second installment in Sakura's Trilogy was very good. New people, meeting the whole adopted family again and I liked the way you connected every person related to each other in a different way.
There are many emotions overlapped together in a beautiful way. The characters are more understanding.

Review

This is the second book in the Falling For Sakura series with its updated cover and retitled name. This book concentrates mainly on Sakura trying to find her biological mother whom she knows works for the design and fashion industry but does not know that her mother had changed her name, making it hard for Sakura to find her. It also concentrates on the seven brothers' love for Sakura, especially that of Sebastian and Darcy, who spend months trying to find her. Unbeknownst to them, she is always right under their noses - or sometimes above them. In my opinion this book was better in some ways than the first one, A Secret Kiss, yet worse in others. I had the underlying feeling that this novel experienced second-book syndrome. It was better in the fact that when I first opened it, the author managed to capture my attention a lot more deeper and faster as well as more effectively, than when you compare it to the second book. The novel pace seemed to gradually deteriorate after the first few opening chapter which were filled with a fast-paced, exhilarating and anticipating chase. My love for the book started to diminish, if I am to be honest, but the novel did get better in the end where all sorts of new secrets are revealed that will make you want to cackle with joy. (I know I certainly did.) Another problem I found with the book was incorrect tense use, grammatical mistakes and way too much cheesiness and sappiness; it was kind of a repellent to me as Sebastian and Darcy more often voiced their love for Sakura than showed it. All in all, it was a very romantic read, and if you want more of happily-ever-afters and something that cries damsel-in-distress...pick it up - its just for you. Congratulations to Alexia Praks on a published book. May the readers create your fandom!

Rating Plan
1 star : Strongly did not like the book, writing and plot was bad. Idea of the book was against my liking.
2 star : Didn't like it, didn't find it interesting or gripping. Seemed to drag on to me.
3 star : An average book. Wasn't bad or good. Everything else was well done. Original idea.
4 star : Like a 3 star but has potential to it as a series or the book grew on me as it progressed and certain scenes captured me. I Enjoyed it and read it in one sitting.
5 star : I LOVED IT! I stayed up late until 3 am. Author is a genius, characters, plot, idea, development, EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. Nothing else can possibly be said except that its 5 STAR!

Reading this series always feels like a bit of a guilty pleasure. It’s not great, not even close, but it scratches a certain itch, and sometimes that’s enough. Sakura: A Secret Proposal is no exception. It’s not revolutionary, and it has plenty of flaws, but it’s also oddly addictive in that soap-opera kind of way.

Sakura: A Secret Proposal kept me entertained well enough, even if I spent a good chunk of it rolling my eyes. The whole "just missed each other again!" trope gets overused here. There were way too many near-encounters between Sakura and the brothers, and after a while, it stopped feeling suspenseful and just felt contrived. I get what the author was trying to do, but the repetition really started to drag the pacing down.

Also, I’m still not over the blonde hair and colored contacts. It’s a weird choice. I get that Sakura’s trying to hide, but it leans more into melodramatic makeover than believable disguise. If she's truly this unforgettable beauty that every guy in the series is obsessed with, I don’t think hair dye and contact lenses would be enough to make her invisible.

As for the romance, this is where the series is starting to lose me a little. I went into it thinking it would be more of a reverse harem, but this book pretty much confirms it’s a love triangle now. And I’m not thrilled about that. Both Sebastian and Darcy are strong contenders, and honestly, I like them equally.

As for the romance, at first it felt like we were headed for a classic love triangle, but honestly, the writing’s on the wall: she’ll probably end up with both Sebastian and Darcy. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve seen this kind of setup in books, anime, manga, or just media in general, so I’m not exactly shocked. Meanwhile, the rest of the brothers seem to have conveniently moved on, which just feels... weird, considering how intense the setup was in the first book, but I’ve kind of accepted that they’ve been sidelined at this point.

That said, there are things I did enjoy. We get more backstory on Sakura’s life before the Princetons, which added some depth. The pacing picked up toward the end, and some of the twists and emotional reveals worked for me, even if they were a bit dramatic. I wouldn’t say the writing is strong (still plenty of cheesy lines and grammar slip-ups), but I knew what I was getting into.

So yeah, it’s fine. Not amazing, not awful, just fine. A solid middle-of-the-road sequel in a series that’s more fun than it is well-written.

Well the second part to this book was just as good. I love how the relationships continue to grow and we see more of what happened in the past. The evil sisters are just wicked! I can't believe the ending either! Crazy, this book kept me on my toes and up late reading! Great series to start of the new year. Time to start the next one!
