So uhhh THAT happened!

Slowly catching up on this series and this was....brutal, to say the least. Like, Game of Thrones brutal. I'm devastated and mind blown in equal measure.

I don't think I'm gonna get any sleep tonight.

What people do when they have no choice.

Except I don't understand why Petra had no choice and killed Billy. I don't understand why Stephen had to kill Kendal, he had a way out! God fucking dammit it, and that was a problem I had with the first half of this issue - some of the machinations and motives felt a bit engineered.

However, I approve of how Remender let Saya stab Marcus (and probably/possibly/may not have killed him?) - that I understand, and I think would have been out of character if she didn't do it. I also like how Remender played with tension and expectation in this issue, esp. with Willie. At first I was like, "oh god, how expected" when Willie turned the gun onto himself, but then it turns out he doesn't immediately kill himself and Marcus talks him out of it. Also, how we were made to believe that Billy betrayed Marcus when in fact the phone call was from Stephen about Kendal. Good stuff.

Ending dream/fantasy sequence is a bit expected though.

3 stars for the first half, 4.25 stars for the second half. Rounding up to 4 stars.
