Santorno #4

What Goes Around...

Rate this book
Stefan Santorno Youngblood and his husband, Jordan, love their children more than anything in the world. They also love their kids’ significant others and friends as though they were their own. With mob ties and friends in high AND low places, woe be unto anyone who screws with this close extended family.

As some of the kids continue to recover from a previous attempt on their lives, spring brings new beginnings: graduations, a vacation in paradise, weddings – and a little surprise no one could have predicted.

Too bad new beginnings can also become rocky, scary and … deadly? All Damon and Heath Youngblood want is to marry their hot fiancés, begin their new lives and hang out with their buddies. All that their friends want is to laugh, love and maybe get a second chance or two to be completely happy.

So, why is it that innocence comes shrouded in shadows and those new lives and second chances are nearly shot to hell one very dark night that should have been perfect?

Well, the only thing certain in life is that what goes around, comes around.

And the Santornos and their loved ones don’t play nice.

I have been blessed in this life to not only have parents that support me, but kids that do as well. I grew up in a loving but "Old School" French household. My parents worked for the airlines (TWA) so I was able to see a lot of Europe as a kid. I moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 22 and stayed there for twelve years before moving to Alaska for a little over two. Fairbanks, AK was one hell of an experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! I spent a little over a year in South Carolina before moving back to Arizona. I then left for Kansas for five years and now reside in Arizona. I've been connected to the military in one way or another for over half my life and wouldn't change a thing about it. Writing has become my full time job and I've never been so happy doing a job I love and being able to do it in my jammies. I plan on writing until I dry up and die. Hopefully, that won't happen soon!

very busy book, lots of young characters growing into adulthood, young teen/college sex ( no my bag). a few paragraphs per chapter for all the characters many stories very busy with them all. like the last two books lots tyo try and keep up with. looks like she is trying to get out of doing series now as the past few Santo books could have been many .....glad this was a valentines day gift. so I didn't waste money. sad how I use to devour her bks THINK that is now in the past.

3.5.....
At this point the drama that surrounded them really seemed... well... almost forced.
Like, once again it was just one thing after another, after another.

It's a book, it's not supposed to always seem realistic but... this was just too much with that shady bastard of a bad guy. So, Though I DID enjoy it, don't get me wrong I really did enjoy it, it's just I finished it being more irritated than happy and able to forget or look over the heavy load of drama like I usually do or am able to do after I read a book I liked.
You know what I mean?

Anyways, liked it, but not like the first few but am still going to stick around this series....

didn't particularly enjoy. It was more like just snippets of random conversations, with loads of sex thrown in. A few paragraph with one couple, then a few with the next and so on. I would rather have a story about the development of the couple, not just constant declarations of love before sex. Quite disappointed cause I love the assassins shifters series. May have to just stop buying any of these books until the next assassins book is out I think.

This was a hot mess. A lot of sex with very little plot. Too many characters and story lines hopping around. It literally felt like the story lines of like 8 couples being traded off every 3 paragraphs. I'm not digging the Santorno and Youngblood books by this author. It's too much going on and it's not organized well.

4 'Its been a long while since I read the last book I did in this series. There are alot of characters and stuff going on and sometimes in this series some of it feels a little OTT whereas I haven't found that in any of this authors other series even the ones connected to this BUT there is just somethig that makes me need to know what happens in their lives. I love the characters and am invested in them. Was great being back' stars.

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

This is the fourth Santorno book, a series that started out with Stefan and Jordan and that now follows their children’s lives and that of their friends. The series is very family orientated with a dash of crazy and a few mob connections and oftentimes someone is out for Santorno blood. The younger Santorno’s have barely gotten over their last daring rescue mission when they are all required to pull together again.

What Goes Around sees them all rushing to settle down – lots of talk of marriage and even the unexpected arrival of a new child. The trials they have been through and the fact that it was touch and go as to whether they would all make it has made for some very deep bonds. In amongst all this there is someone from their past who is lashing out at them and their friends and the longer it goes on the more dangerous the situation becomes.

There is a lot going on in this book – almost too much and I felt lost with all the information at times. The move between characters was fast and often and I felt the constant head hopping meant the story didn’t run as smoothly as it could, this was particularly true for the first half. As many characters as there are I have to admit to still being a sucker for Jordan and Stefan and love the fact that we still get to see them so often and they are given a good chunk of time on page. It’s really left me feeling like I need to go back to the beginning and start all over again.

2.5*

More sex with the Youngblood kids and a bizarre random sub plot about someone that no-one has heard of before he shows up in this book going all out for members of the extended family.

There's shedloads of errors in this one too but despite all of the above, I can't stop reading them!

Another great add to the series. Twist and turns and cannot predict what happens next. We get the great couples again Heath/Caleb, Damon/Tyler, Mark/Paul, Jay/Greg, Josh/Tanner. Crazy things happen in this book great new faces and old favorites. Can't wait for the next.

Such a good series! I would seriously suggest reading the Santorno series first as this precedes the Assassin/Shifters series!

Learning the family

Good read, getting to know the Santorno Family, especially the children. Seems like the author may be setting up all the characters for the next book .

I absolutely loved it! yet another good book in the series. At first I tried so hard to draw it out but in the end I couldn't do it. The story just sucked me in! can't wait to find out what happens next and what hurdles the face. I do have to say that with every book I seem to have picked a favorite couple. in the second one it was definitely Heath and Caleb, then Paul and Mark. I was slightly undecided in this book because at first I thought it was going to be heat and Caleb again, but I have to say in this story Josh and Tanner grabbed my heart.

Started out repetitive but was saved by the pitter-patter of little feet

What started out so boring and repetitive was saved not only by little feet but also because of Tanner. You see of all the series Devin is my favorite character and his love story Lyons Den is my favorite out of all she wrote. So my attention is riveted on Tanner and how he was chosen to be the one. I am trying not to give anything away but it is what keeps my interest. The whole Tanner,Josh,James, Devin and Andrei story has me wanting more.

The Babies Are Grown

Stefan and Jordan don't have babies anymore. They are grandparents now. It is fun to see how these children have matured. They show the same care for their friends and loved ones that their dads' have shown. This is a entertaining and funny read. It was fun to read about characters from earlier books. Enjoy I did.

Great read

This is a great read but would have been better coming out before Devlin Lyons was revealed as Tanner. Was hard reading how happy Josh and Tanner are knowing what happens.
Regardless it helped clear up who all the kids are and will be great to read the next one progressing through the marriages, births, and Tanners ordeal...so I hope that is coming up soon!!!

I love this series. This book was well written and quite enjoyable. I am enjoying getting to know the family especially since we are first introduce to them in her Assassin Shiftier series. It is great meeting them when they are young and just starting their lives. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Love goes around

What can I say but love goes around. There is always so much love and heart in all of Sandrine's books but I can feel it so much in the Santorno stories it just spills off the pages.

So I liked this book but there was too much hearts and flowers for me.

Also, I don't like books with many POVs but that wasn't the issue for me. What was a problem was the back and forth with the POVs that I was confused as to who was saying what. It could have flowed a little better.

Love this series and how it all flowed. It can get a little confusing with all the names and remember who's dating who and who are the actual kids for Jordan and Stefan but other than that good read.
