After reading this prequel, I'm intrigued. This is a collection of short stories which showcase various characters in this series. It is a little bit of a back story and I find that I want to know more. Not quite sure why I waited so long to read this short story. Now I'm off to find out more about the emotional shut down Victoria, sexy Arie and enigmatic Teresa. The club owner dominatrix is most intriguing for me.

'Cursed Ever After' is a sample of stories, introductions of characters for A.C. James' new BDSM series "Ever After". Giving us, the reader just enough of a taste of what is to come, to inrtigue us, tempt us... Boy did she ever, now I can't wait to start reading this series.

This is a series of short BDSM that introduces you to characters in the series. The author does warn about one of the shorts containing a difficult topic which I wish more authors would do. Even if you skip that short it doesn't take anything away from the introduction. I would recommend this to anyone that likes/fantasies about BDSM. I look forward to reading the series and seeing how everything plays out.

Not my cup of tea
I am not into this kind of book. No offense to the author but I'm not into BDSM. The characters seem quite interesting. I gave this a 3 star even though to me it is a 2 but I will not cause the author to have a bad review because I'm just not into this sort of thing.

Short stories about a group of paranormal BDSM loving friends. The stories each seem to focus different friends. I imagine future stories will continue the stories. Very interesting & sexy shorts. Vampires, demons and fae, oh my!

Instafreebie,,, I liked the first 2 short stories, but the third got me confused and the 4th I couldn't get into it, its called Cursed Ever After but after reading this, it should have been called Sex Ever After, the Porn edition.

This get three stars purely because the writing is fine. But this isn't really a novel but snippets of other work that is more like an ad than storytelling.
The writing is good, so I might read another one and see if there is an actual story in there, but I didn't consider this a novel.

The short descriptions provided for each story tease you enough. If I add too much more I may as well just type out each story for you. :) So with that, I'll add my two cents worth and let you read them for more.
The entire collection takes place in or around an underground BDSM club aptly named the Hellfire Club.
Story One is about Arie, a vampire, who stumbles across a potential employee being "interviewed" by his boss, Tessa . What he finds not only turns him on but the guard outside the office door. Very hot, dark, and erotic. Be prepared to learn just how useful a desk full of office paraphernalia can be used sexually.
Story Two is about Luna, a faerie that is in love with a vampire named Victoria. Luna puts herself in to bondage situations to relieve the frustrations of not having Victoria return her affection. An intrusion by Aria relieves the tension that both are feeling at this moment ~ in hot, seductive ways.
Story Three is about Victoria. This is set in Nord, 1763 and explains the events that lead to Victoria's becoming a vampire. Falling in love with a married man and be discovered, only to have said married man sell you out as a witch really shoots the self-esteem in the foot.
Warning about Story Three (Burned): There is a disturbing rape scene. The violation of Victoria helps, however, to give the reader a more broad understanding of Victoria, what she endured, and why she is the way she is now, in modern times, after being "saved" in 1763.
Story Four involves Tessa, owner of the Hellfire Club and Mistress. She hires out her services to those looking for more in their lives than regular vanilla sex. This is my favorite story out of all four, although, all of the stories are written well. I love how the author twists the story from being about Tessa and her client into a story about sexual fantasy fulfillment in the most real and intimate way possible.
Each story in the Cursed Ever After set shows readers how the characters intertwine with each other, how they came to know one another, and a bit about themselves. They are sexually explicit, steamy, stormy, and explanatory, providing backgrounds on many of the characters, or at least a glimpse of who they are.

Vampires and faeries mix together in a combustible BDSM setting, with just enough angst thrown in to keep readers turning the pages, desperate to know more about the characters. This collection serves more as an introduction to the major players (both as they live now as well as their histories), but that doesn’t mean it’s short on steam or character development.
“Ruler” focuses on Arie, a vampire, and touches on his emotional issues, namely his heartbreak from a former lover. “Bound” introduces Luna, a faerie who is the daughter of the club’s owner and an emotional punching bag for her family. “Burned” tells Victoria’s story—the betrayal that is still seared into her psyche, and her birth into a new life. “Chained” gives a glimpse into Tessa’s life, showing the softer side of her that few, if any, of the club workers see. Finally, the preface to ETERNAL EVER AFTER gives an indication of how Arie’s emotional issues are going to be tested.
CURSED EVER AFTER is a fast read, heavy on the erotic exchanges and just teasing the histories and relationships of the characters. First off, please know that I received this book as a giveaway with the request to give an honest review. Here it is:
This book was H.O.T. It dealt with everything you could ever think of to spice up your private readings. Do not read this around children who can read, or husbands who can peek and go "What The Hell Is That!?". Keep it private, keep it quiet, and indulge!
The reason I gave it 4 stars, not 5 was because I really didn't know who these characters were. They were explained, slightly, and though I am more proned to reading books with more of a plot (i.e. House of Night, The Storyteller, Bound To You, etc,...) , I would have liked to have seen a full book with full explainations on the characters, damages, histories, etc,... This seemed like a between series novella, but there is no series to read after.
Overall this book was great for just a simple, easy read, between books, that did not make me think too much. My best friend would love this book because she loves the hot steamy books, so I am definatly going to recommend it to her! The scenes were great, will get just about anyone who likes that specific type of sex really hot and bothered. I read it while cooking dinner and I had to walk away from the stove. My husband also got quite the kiss and touch last night too, so thank you A.C. James for giving me something to think about while in bed. Hehe!

This is a short collection of short stories set in the Ever After world. I've not read anything else in this series, but if this is any indication of the sizzle level of them - I can't wait!
The stories range from teasing scenes in an office to flashbacks of one of them becoming a vampire and everything in between. They are dirty and sexy and filled with the paranormal. If you're looking for a quick read that will fill your smut quota in a unique paranormal universe, this is definitely worth a read.

All with an erotic theme.
In all of them Arie plays a role, but in only one he is the main character.
Good intro to the series to get to know Arie, Luna, Victoria and Tessa some more. I was feeling for Victoria and what happened in her past. I totally understand why she did what she didand tells the reader about on the last page. I hope for poor Luna things will work out.

I could have finished this in one sitting but due to the desire for variety, I let it stretch. This collection of short stories pack a lustful punch, short they may be but definitely scintillating! The characters were unpredictable and each of the major players has his/her own POV. I liked reading it and I appreciate the author's note before one chapter that may be too sensitive a topic for other readers.

this is a really great intro to characters to come in the series I hope. lots of hot Vampires and yummy sex scenario. This is a great peak at what is yet to come I hope. They are quick hot stories but lack a lot of the character building that A.C. is so great at. A quick glimpse at what is to come. Definitely need to pick up the rest of the books in this series as I am sure they will be some scorching hot reads. I was gifted this copy for an honest review.

This is a prequel to the Ever After Series and introduces you to the four main characters in the series. These are fast paced reads that give you a glimpse of the characters and their world, they are all linked through the Hellfire Club, a BDSM club that caters to the supernatural, these characters have lived a long time and require more entertainment. I liked each read and am looking forward to finding out more about each.

Ariel is a vampire, luna is a Fae and tessa is the head vamp that runs the place. It's got the BDSM theme to it and not my normal genre.

The prequel to the ever after series, these erotic shorts are sizzling hot! Wasn't sure how I was gonna like that but they all tie in together beautifully. These are steamy hot to the nth degree tho. So...not meant for the modest. A great warm up....actually a great quick sear would be more appropriate! Now on to the next! This free copy was given to me for an honest review

Four scorching paranormal stories that burn up the pages; what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, MORE!! That's why you need to go on to read the rest of the Ever After series. Great prequel to Eternally Ever After. Wished I had read it first but was far from disappointed. A. C. knows how to write exotic scenes and the storyline will keep you turning the pages. Cannot wait to finish this series. Ice bucket needed!
