Found in an orphanage in England, then from an early age trained in the arts of close combat, sabotage and assassination in a secluded school in France, Stella starts her new life as a 17 year old assassin in London. She must carry out tasks for The Academy until she is twenty, after that she will be free. Stella has always been in institutions. She has lived an extreme life in which she has been prepared for a particular purpose requiring control, stealth, practicality and ruthlessness, all without emotion. Something unexpected happens – she sees Samuel while on a mission in Istanbul and is romantically drawn to him. She knows how dangerous it will be for them if they get involved, but when she accidentally meets him a few weeks later, at a rave, she approaches him. He’s a student from London and has no knowledge of Stella’s dark past. She tries to deal with true attraction - tenderness, both given and received. However, she is caught up between two different worlds. She knows what will happen once the Academy finds out about Samuel, yet she takes up this love and will do anything to protect it.
